Automatic Registration of TOBI Side-Scan Sonar and Multi-Beam Bathymetry Images for Improved Data Fusion

Deep towed side-scan sonar vehicles such as TOBI acquire high quality imagery of the seafloor with very high spatial resolution but poor locational accuracy. Fusion of the side-scan sonar data with bathymetry data from an independent source is often desirable to reduce ambiguity in geological interpretations, to aid in slant-range correction and to enhance seafloor representation. The main obstacle to fusion is accurate registration of the two datasets.The application of hierarchical chamfer matching to the registration of TOBI side-scan sonar images and multi-beam swath bathymetry is described. This matches low level features such as edges in the TOBI image, with corresponding features in a synthetic TOBI image created by simulating the flight of the TOBI vehicle through the bathymetry. The method is completely automatic, relatively fast and robust, and much easier than manual registration. It allows accurate positioning of the TOBI vehicle, enhancing its usefulness as a research tool. The method is illustrated by automatic registration of TOBI and multi-beam bathymetry data from the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.     

A Method of Coding and Decoding in Underwater Image Transmission

A new method of coding and decoding in the system of underwater image transmission is introduced, including the rapid digital frequency synthesizer in multiple frequency shift keying,image data generator, image grayscale decoder with intelligent fuzzy algorithm, image restoration and display on microcomputer.     

Underwater Acoustic Image Transmission System Based on DSP

The underwater acoustic image transmission system based on the high-speed DSP device TMS320C549 has been studied.We use Goertzel algorithm for source decoding and MFSK for modulation.Turbo code is used for channel coding and decoding.The purpose is to implement underwater video image data transmission.     

Experimental Investigation of Instantaneous Properties of Wave Slamming on the Plate

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the instantaneous properties of wave slamming on the plate structure of an open structure.The advanced instantaneous measuring technique-Particle Image Velocimetry(PIV) is applied to acquire the instantaneous velocity field of wave slamming.From the cross-correlation analysis results of the images captured by the CCD camera,the flow fields of wave impacting on the structure are displayed visually,and the instantaneous whole-field fluid velocity vectors are obtained.The relation between the instantaneous peak impacting pressures and the instantaneous velocities of water particles is studied by probability analysis.

从侧扫声纳的工作原理出发，分析了侧扫声纳记录声图产生基本失真的原因，推导出基本失真的数学公式，所得结论对实际作用有重要的指导意义。     

两种江蓠果孢子的融合研究

本研究以真江蓠(Gracilaria asiatica Zhang et Xia)和龙须菜(Gracilaria sjoes-tedtii Kylin)两个不同物种为材料,探索了果孢子的融合方法和条件。由成熟囊果的藻体经阴干刺激后,放散出大量果孢子。两个物种的果孢子在大小和颜色上都有差异。对这两个物种的果孢子用PEG—高Ca~(++)高pH法诱导融合,首次获得成功,融合细胞能再生成杂种植株。     

融冰季节北极破碎冰区热通量的初步研究

利用航空遥感数字影像的解析结果和实测气象，海洋和海冰资料，定量研究了夏季融冰期北极破碎冰区的热通量，计算了海洋对大气的热贡献，结果表明，在北极夏季海冰融化时，短波辐射远远大于感热和潜热通量，是表面热通量的决定因素，海洋对大气的热贡献主要由长波辐射决定，在观测期间，海洋对大气的热贡献为38～104Wm^-2，这部分热量的大小与海冰的密集度有关，当海冰密集度小于0.8时，海洋对大气的热贡献随海冰密度度的增大而减小，而当海冰密集度超过0.8以后，该热通量将随海冰密集度的增大而增大。     

改进的自适应遗传算法在遥感图像分割中的应用

为了自动确定遥感图像分割的最佳阈值,本文提出了一种改进的自适应遗传算法,并利用该算法对二维Otsu图像阈值分割函数进行了全局优化,提高了分割闻值的求解速度。该算法能够根据个体适应度大小和群体的分散程度自动调整遗传控制参数,从而能够在保持群体多样性的同时加快收敛速度,克服基本遗传算法的收敛性差、易早熟问题。实验结果表明,该算法具有良好的收敛速度和稳定性,达到较好的图像分割效果,大大缩短了计算时间。     

城市框架数据的更新模式及应用研究

分析了利用竣工测量数据、VRS技术及高分辨率影像更新城市框架数据三种模式的可行性,给出了适合青岛地区框架数据的更新方案.

分析了的Brovey变换融合算法,提出了一种新的基于Brovey变换、对数变换亮度调整的图像融合方法,试验数据的对比和分析证明了其保留多光谱影像的光谱信息.
