Glacial Isostatic Adjustment (GIA) modelling in North America relies on relative sea level information which is primarily obtained from areas far away from the uplift region. The lack of accurate geodetic observations in the Great Lakes region, which is located in the transition zone between uplift and subsidence due to the deglaciation of the Laurentide ice sheet, has prevented more detailed studies of this former margin of the ice sheet. Recently, observations of vertical crustal motion from improved GPS network solutions and combined tide gauge and satellite altimetry solutions have become available. This study compares these vertical motion observations with predictions obtained from 70 different GIA models. The ice sheet margin is distinct from the centre and far field of the uplift because the sensitivity of the GIA process towards Earth parameters such as mantle viscosity is very different. Specifically, the margin area is most sensitive to the uppermost mantle viscosity and allows for better constraints of this parameter. The 70 GIA models compared herein have different ice loading histories (ICE-3/4/5G) and Earth parameters including lateral heterogeneities. The root-mean-square differences between the 6 best models and the two sets of observations (tide gauge/altimetry and GPS) are 0.66 and 1.57 mm/yr, respectively. Both sets of independent observations are highly correlated and show a very similar fit to the models, which indicates their consistent quality. Therefore, both data sets can be considered as a means for constraining and assessing the quality of GIA models in the Great Lakes region and the former margin of the Laurentide ice sheet.  相似文献

对河南数字测震台网2012年1月—2013年4月记录到的80个地震事件,在震级方面分别做了仿真前和仿真后的对比分析,给出其偏差。结果表明:仿真后的震级多数大于仿真前的震级,但震级差均在0.3级以内。对于速报时可不采用仿真震级。但对于编目和研究人员可采用仿真震级。  相似文献

To calculate the deviations between single station magnitudes and average ones by the magnitude residual statistical method, the paper selects 13086 seismic events recorded by the Gansu broadband digital seismic network from January 2009 to December 2012. The frequency distribution and quantitative statistics of the deviations of earthquake magnitude are analyzed. The M L calibration function is modified and a uniform local magnitude system characteristic of the Gansu region, is obtained.  相似文献

波速测试结果在工程上的应用越来越重要,但波速测试结果的不确定性一直影响着抗震设计。为了准确地描述这一不确定性,对较深软场地的地震响应进行了计算。采用Shake 2000程序,通过输入不同类型的多种强度的地震波,研究了较深软场地的多种工况下剪切波速测试标准差对地表加速度反应谱和峰值加速度的影响。结果表明,较深软场地上的波速测试标准差对场地的加速度反应谱和峰值加速度基本没有影响;不同地震强度下的反应谱和峰值加速度的变化,基本可以忽略。随着波速测试数据量的增加,本文研究结果还有待进一步的深入与完善。  相似文献

在各向异性地震波场中,qP波与qS波常常是耦合在一起的.多分量地震数据处理中一个关键环节就是波型分离(即模式解耦),以纵波成分为主的常规单分量地震数据的成像则需要合理描述标量qP波的传播算子.本文作者曾构建了在运动学上同弹性波动方程等价,动力学上突出标量qP波的伪纯模式波动方程.为了彻底消除qS波残余,本文根据波矢量与qP波偏振矢量之间的偏差,提出从伪纯模式波场提取纯模式标量qP波的方法.数值分析展示了投影偏差算子在波数域和空间域的特征.基于不同复杂程度理论模型的试验结果表明,联合"伪纯模式传播算子"与"投影偏差校正"可为各向异性介质分离模式波场传播过程提供一种简便的描述工具.  相似文献

Rock surface weathering often leads to increased rock surface roughness, but roughness has proved difficult to quantify. Several instruments are available for micro-mapping and recording rock surface profiles, but the most appropriate for most purposes is the simple profile gauge. Short profiles can be recorded quickly and accurately. A range of roughness indices has been proposed in other areas of geomorphology and their efficacy as measures of roughness at scales of interest in studies of weathering is assessed. Some are too complex or labour-intensive and others are too sensitive to the scale of roughness to provide reliable measures of magnitude. The most appropriate indicator of both the scale and magnitude of roughness is the standard deviation of the differences between height values at a range of set horizontal intervals along a profile (the ‘deviogram’). Varying the measurement interval records roughness at different scales. A regression approach (root-mean-square roughness) provides a reliable measure of the magnitude of roughness at the maximum scale present. Three case studies confirm the efficacy of these approaches to studies of weathering of different rocks in different environments. Software is supplied which automates the calculation of roughness indices from gauge profiles.  相似文献

The quality factor Q is a vital parameter for quantitatively describing the attenuation information of underground reservoirs, which is of great significance for hydrocarbon detection and reservoir characterization. A frequency-weighted-exponential (FWE) method utilizing the symmetry index and the characteristic frequency can obtain this parameter. Unfortunately, the constant symmetry index assumption of it reduces the accuracy of Q values under the non-standard FWE shape. Selecting an optimal symmetry index is also a problem for this method. Hence, the basic idea of a novel Q estimation method is to substitute the symmetry index with the standard deviation of the source and attenuated wavelet spectrums. The added standard deviation varies with the degree of attenuation under different wavelet shapes, which can reduce the effects of the constant assumption. Meanwhile, it is simple to calculate this parameter directly from the spectrums. In this way, the proposed method has wider applicability to various wavelets. The synthetic records show the better performance of the novel method in improving the accuracy of Q values and the resistance to random noise than the FWE method. Furthermore, the results of matching wavelets exhibit the applicability of the proposed method in real data, and the quadratic spectrum simulation method improves the stability of the spectrums. Finally, real data experiments indicate the effectiveness of the proposed method after the above two processing means.  相似文献

Flow–duration curves (FDCs) are essential to support decisions on water resources management, and their regionalization is fundamental for the assessment of ungauged basins. In comparison with calibrated rainfall–runoff models, statistical methods provide data-driven estimates representing a useful benchmark. The objective of this work is the interpolation of FDCs from ~500 discharge gauging stations in the Danube. To this aim we use total negative deviation top-kriging (TNDTK), as multi-regression models are shown to be unsuitable for representing FDCs across all durations and sites. TNDTK shows a high accuracy for the entire Danube region, with overall Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency values computed in a leave-p-out cross-validation scheme (p equal to one site, one-third and half of the sites), all above 0.88. A reliability measure based on kriging variance is attached to each interpolated FDC at ~4000 prediction nodes. The GIS layer of regionalized FDCs is made available for broader use in the region.  相似文献

选取2016—2017年宝昌地震台记录的全球220次MS≥6.0地震,对所选地震的面波震级重新量取,为更好实现单台新旧震级的“无缝”对接,进行了面波震级MS与宽频带面波震级MS(BB)的对比研究。结果表明,大多数地震的宽频带面波震级MS(BB)比面波震级MS总体偏大,且MS(BB)MS的线性相关程度较高。  相似文献
