该文用双通道动态阈值法对GMS-5图像进行自动的云检测。在红外通道和可见光通道,分别对每32×32个像元组成的像元阵进行直方图统计,求出区别云和地物值域的阈值,然后对每个像元阵内的逐个像元进行云判识。讨论了在进行直方图分析以求取阈值的过程中,像元阵大小的选取和动态平滑间距的选取对云检测结果的影响。分析结果表明:像元阵大小取32×32时,像元阵所占的地域空间尺度足够小,像元阵内的观测像元样本数足够多,保证了在直方图聚类分析时,每一类含有足够多的样本;GMS-5观测图像的红外通道对原始直方图进行二次平滑时小平滑间距取1.6 K,可见光通道小平滑间距取1.2%,使得确定动态阈值时步长相对小,保证了分析的精度。用目视图像对分析结果进行真实性检验,在中低纬度地区,可见光和红外两个通道都有资料时,该算法的云判识精度较好。在高纬度地区,由于地表温度低,积雪覆盖多,太阳光照角低,该算法的云判识精度较差。 相似文献

In this work we discuss the historical record of metals as derived from a sediment core from the Port of Maó (Minorca, Spain), the second natural largest harbour in Europe. The sedimentation rate derived from radionuclide profiles increased by a factor of five since the 1960s due to the urbanisation of the town waterfront. Metal concentrations showed two different trends: (i) Pb and Sn inputs started during the second half of the 19th century and remained relatively high until mid-20th century; and (ii) Ag, Cd, Ni, Zn, Cu and Cr accumulation began in the 1940s, peaking in the late 1970s. The commissioning of a submarine outfall in 1978 reduced metal concentrations in subsequently deposited sediments since, thereafter, urban and industrial wastes have been dumped out of the estuary. This study also shows that evaluating the quality of sediments on the basis of surface concentrations may be misleading. 相似文献

Role of organic acids (formic, acetic, pyruvic and oxalic) in the formation of cloud condensation nuclei (CCN): a review 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
Although it is believed that organic aerosols play a key role in cloud nucleation and make an important contribution to the cloud condensation nuclei (CCN) population, their specific species remain poorly characterized. This paper reviews the current knowledge of organic acids (mainly formic, acetic, pyruvic and oxalic acids). Without specification, organic acids in this paper refer to these four organic acids in the gas and aerosol phases. This paper analyzes the extent to which organic acids act as CCN and compares the physical and chemical properties of organic acids with those of CCN. The results show that aerosol formate and acetate concentrations range from 0.02 to 5.3 nmol m−3 and from 0.03 to 12.4 nmol m−3, respectively, and that between 34 to 77% of formate and between 21 to 66% of acetate are present in the fine fraction of aerosols. It was found that although most (98–99%) of these volatile organic acids are present in the gas phase, their concentrations in the aerosol particles are sufficient to make them a good candidate for CCN. The results also show that organic acids may make an important contribution to the formation of CCN in some special sources such as vegetation emissions and biomass-burning. For 25 years, a plant in Israel manufacturing ammonium perchlorate disposed of untreated wastewater in four unlined ponds. This study explores the transport mechanisms of perchlorate infiltrated from 1965 to 1990 from one of these active storage ponds into a deep (40 m) layered vadose zone and the underlying Israeli coastal aquifer. Perchlorate migration from 1990, when wastewater disposal ceased, until today, with infiltration due only to natural rain (500 mm y−1), was also studied. Several indirect methods were used, including: mass balance in the unsaturated zone profile, δ18O and δ2H profiles below the pond, and a comparison of the same sediment profiles in 2005 and 2007. The isotopic composition of the pore water could be divided into two separate groups: lighter (depleted) and heavier (enriched) samples. All samples in the lighter group were from the shallow vadose zone, above two clayey layers, and represent natural infiltration of rainwater. The enriched samples were from the deeper section of the unsaturated zone (20–40 m) and represent water used for perchlorate manufacturing 14 years prior to drilling. Consequently, the overall maximum infiltration rate was estimated to be 1.4 m y−1. Below the clayey layer almost identical perchlorate concentrations were found along the sediment profile in 2005 and 2007 (two boreholes, 3 m apart). Very different perchlorate profiles were observed above the clayey layers. This suggests that perchlorate below the clay layers (20–40 m) is practically stagnant under the current natural conditions. The reduction in perchlorate concentration in groundwater below the ponds vs. its increased concentration further downgradient supports the contention that the current migration of perchlorate from the vadose zone to the groundwater is very small. We estimate that perchlorate concentration in the groundwater under the infiltration pond, which was 187 mg l−1 in 2004, will reach 10 μg l−1 within about 14 years. The existence of a clayey layer crossing the thick vadose zone was thus found to significantly change the infiltration rate when ponded conditions were replaced with natural precipitation. 相似文献

Copper speciation in continental inputs to the Vigo Ria: sewage discharges versus river fluxes 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Continental inputs of copper via rivers and sewage into the Vigo Ria were evaluated. The main fluvial input is not contaminated and the most degraded discharges occur on the southern margin of the middle ria. Continental inputs of copper and ligands to the ria are dominated by sewage treatment plants (136 mol Cu day(-1), 124 mol L day(-1)) supported by rivers (15 mol Cu day(-1), 21 mol L day(-1)). The dissolved fraction is the main channel of discharge for rivers (66%) with particulate matter being predominant in sewage (63%). Dissolved copper is organically complexed both in rivers (99.8%) and sewage (99.9%). This minor difference may be attributed to the fact that the stability of sewage complexes is greater than those in rivers. Moreover, ligand concentrations are higher in sewage than in rivers. Thus, the natural continental inputs of copper and ligands into the ria are magnified by anthropogenic inputs (5-15 and 3-5 times higher for copper and ligands, respectively). 相似文献

Samples of the polychaete Chaetopterus variopedatus, worm tubes, commensal crab Polyonyx gibbesi and sediments were collected in eight sites in Todos os Santos Bay, Brazil, in order to evaluate the potential use of the polychaetes and crabs as biomonitors and to assess the relationships and accumulation of trace and major elements in different benthic compartments. Trace and major elements were determined by ICP OES. Organic carbon, total nitrogen and sulfur were determined by CNS elemental analyser. Tubes, crabs and polychaetes were important in the retention of trace and major elements. Metals that presented the highest accumulation in polychaetes (i.e. Mg > Al > Fe > Zn > Mn > Co > Cu > Ba > Cr) where the same for crabs (i.e. Mg > Al > Fe > Mn > Co > Zn > Cu > Ba > Cr). High concentrations of Al, Ba, Cr, Mn and Fe, from terrigenous sources, were observed in tubes, which presented accumulation factors up to 81.5 for Mn. Sedentary polychaetes are seen as good biomonitor alternatives for metal contamination studies, because they are one of the most abundant taxon in the benthic system, live in direct contact with sediments, are present in broad distributions and can also handle relatively high concentrations of metals ensuring chronic exposition. The possibility to work with not only the polychaete but also its tube offers advantages compared to bivalves that generally do not accumulate certain metals in very high levels. 相似文献

Trends and Patterns in the Contamination of Sediments from Federal Waterways in Eastern Germany The following study presents a concept for a sediment pollution cadastre and the results of systematic investigations of sediment contamination for eight toxic heavy metals and arsenic, as well as for eight classes of organic priority pollutants in all together 21 reaches in the Elbe and Oder waterway systems. Based on data from the years 1991 to 1995; multivariate statistical evaluations were carried out to identify local and temporal trends in the overall contamination. It was possible to differentiate between more non-point and point sources of sediment contamination. Because of the closure of substantial parts of the industry in Eastern Germany and by common sanitation efforts of both the German and the Czech sides since 1990, the situation in the Elbe river system with respect to the heavy metals has improved markedly. For the Oder river system, a comparable trend does not exist yet, and the sediment contamination by heavy metals is stagnant there. As a consequence, the pollution situation in both German parts of the rivers has become similar except for mercury and arsenic. Regarding organic pollutants, the picture is quite different. With the exception of PAHs, Oder sediments are contaminated by organics only to a lower extent and compare better with the ones from unpolluted waters found in parts of Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania than with those of rivers Elbe, Mulde, and Saale with its tributaries. On the one hand, organic pollution generally also decreased since 1991 in these rivers. On the other hand, due to continuing inputs from plants in the Czech Republic and from old contaminated sites, both in Czechia and Germany, a decreasing trend is not significant or cannot be found at all for such pollutants as HCB, PCBs, or PAHs. As the important components of the earth’s atmospheric system, cloud and precipitation strongly affect the global hydrology and energy cycles through the interaction of solar and infrared radiation with cloud droplets and the release of latent heat in precipitation development. The microwave observations in cloudy and rainy conditions have a large amount of information closely related to the development of weather systems, especially the severe weather systems like typhoon and rainstorm. Nevertheless, satellite microwave observations are usually only assimilated in clear-sky above the ocean and their cloud and precipitation content is discarded. Over the past two decades, several Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) centers have gradually developed the “all-sky” approach to make use of the cloud- and precipitation-affected microwave radiances. It’s been proved that the all-sky assimilation can be used to improve the first guessed mass, wind, humidity, cloud and precipitation through the tracer effect. For providing an investigated reference for the future research of all-weather assimilation in domestic numerical weather forecast, this paper reviewed the all-sky assimilation methods using microwave observation data, analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of each method, and discussed the key technical problems and the existing difficulties and challenges in this field. With the development and application of the new generation of NWP model in China, advancing the domestic research of all-weather data assimilation technology will bring more scientific and practical benefits in the future. 相似文献

在国家气候中心全球大气环流模式BCC_AGCM2.0中引入一组基于CloudSat/CALIPSO卫星观测的、能够体现真实时空变化特征的云垂直重叠参数(抗相关厚度,Lcf)数据,以减小由云的重叠描述造成的辐射场的不确定性。对比了采用时空变化的云重叠参数和采用恒定云重叠参数的气候模拟结果,发现无论在全球还是东亚区域,采用基于卫星观测的云重叠参数对模拟的总云量都有一定程度的改进。采用时空变化的云重叠参数后,冬、夏两季全球平均总云量与云和地球的辐射能量系统(CERES)卫星资料的误差都减少了1.6%,其中热带对流区域总云量的正偏差和副热带地区总云量的负偏差都明显减少,这些有助于正确模拟不同区域间的能量收支差异。在东亚区域,采用时空变化的云重叠参数后,冬、夏两季的东亚区域平均总云量与CERES卫星资料的误差分别减少了1.8%和1.4%。综上所述,基于CloudSat/CALIPSO卫星资料计算得到的Lcf有助于改进大气环流模式对总云量的模拟,从而提高模式对辐射场的模拟精度。 相似文献
