Seamless integration of spatial statistics and GIS: The S-PLUS for ArcView and the S+Grassland Links

The extension of the functional capacity of geographic information systems (GIS) with tools for statistical analysis in general and exploratory spatial data analysis (ESDA) in particular has been an increasingly active area of research in recent years. In this paper, two operational implementations that combine the functionality of spatial data analysis software with a GIS are considered more closely. They consist of linkages between the S-PLUS software for data analysis and two different GIS implementations, the ArcView desktop system, which is mostly vector-oriented, and the primarily raster-based Grassland open GIS environment. We emphasize conceptual and technical issues related to the software implementation of these approaches and suggest future directions for linking spatial statistics and GIS. Spatial Measures of Segregation and Gis1

Traditional segregation measures have limitations in discerning different patterns of population distributions. Spatial measures of segregation have been introduced, but have not been widely adopted partly because of the difficulties in using them. A recent effort is to implement several spatial segregation measures as additional GIS tools in a popular desktop GIS package so that researchers and practitioners not savvy in GIS can use these tools to compute spatial segregation indices. This paper provides a concise review of these measures and elaborates the new tools developed.

由于ArcView提供的符号库难以满足各种专题地图的制作要求,影响了其图形输出性能的发挥。本文主要介绍ArcInfo中的线型符号制作方法及如何在ArcView中调用ArcInfo制作的线型符号,解决了ArcView制图中线型符号的配置问题。

基于GIS的水资源优化管理信息系统

地理信息系统是近些年迅速发展起来的一门近地空间信息分析技术，应用范围非常广泛。根据新乡市水资源管理的需要，利用GIS技术，以ArcView3．3为平台，开发了“新乡市水资源优化管理信息系统”，将数据收集、空间分析和决策过程综合为一个共同的信息流，进行预测和模拟及可视化，实现了地下水资源信息的基本管理及水质的可视化分析，提高了工作效率，产生了显著的社会效益和经济效益。     

基于ArcViewGIS的最佳金矿靶区圈定及可视化

GIS已经成为预测全过程的一项重要手段,尤其是在矿产勘查和预测的前期,更显示出它的优越性.本文以研究区为样本,提取与成矿有关的地层、构造、岩浆岩、遥感、物探、化探异常等多个图层,利用ArcView GIS软件对各种成矿信息进行叠加、分析、综合,实现最佳金矿靶区的确定及远景找矿区预测.     

ArcView平台下的襄樊GIS信息系统的设计与开发

湖北襄樊GIS信息系统以ArcView为基本平台,对从湖北省测绘局取得的地图、数据、分析结果、模型等进行集成,并应用ArcView所提供的AVENUE语言进行二次开发,设计并完成友好的用户界面,实现信息查询、数据库管理、图形编辑、制图、三维分析(模型)和输出的系统基本功能。重点介绍了系统开发的思路以及系统功能,给出了部分程序代码。
