基于2009年5月1日积层混合云降水2架飞机观测数据分析,使用中尺度模式WRFV3对此次过程积云区和层云区的微物理特征和转化过程进行数值模拟比较研究。飞机观测数据分析表明,此次积层混合云中的层云区和积云区冰粒子形状和形成过程有明显差别,层云区的粒子形状组成比较复杂,包含针状、柱状和辐枝状等,而积云区主要以辐枝状粒子为主,聚并、凇附过程明显。数值模式能较好地模拟出此次积层混合云降水过程的基本特征,包括回波分布、飞行路径上降水粒子的数浓度和液态水含量等。数值模拟结果表明,云水相对丰富、上升气流强的层云区凇附过程较强,产生的雪在低层融化为雨水,为后期高层形成的雪和霰提供丰富的液态水,能发展成对流较强的积云区,存在播种—供给机制。在积云区,水成物的比例从大到小依次为雪(51.9%)、霰(31.0%)和雨水(16.0%);雪的主要源项包括淞附增长(56.8%)和凝华增长(40.1%),霰的主要源项包括凇附增长(46.6%)、雨水碰并雪成霰(42.6%)和凝华增长(16.1%),雨水的主要源项是霰(77.6%)和雪(22.4%)的融化。而相对云水较少、上升气流较弱的层云区将保持层云的状态,层云区水成物的比例从大到小依次为雪(90.4%)、雨水(6.1%)、冰晶(3.5%);高层冰晶和雪通过凝华过程增长,雪在零度层下融化为弱的降水。  相似文献

Spectral analysis was performed on aircraft observations of a convective boundary layer (CBL) that developed over a thermally inhomogeneous, well-marked mesoscale land surface. The observations, part of the GAME-Siberia experiment, were recorded between April and June 2000 over the Lena River near Yakutsk City. A special integral parameter termed the ‘reduced depth of the CBL’ was used to scale the height of the mixed layer with variable depth. Analysis of wavelet cospectra and spectra facilitated the separation of fluxes and other variables into small-scale turbulent fluctuations (with scales less than the reduced depth of the CBL, approximately 2 km) and mesoscale fluctuations (up to 20 km). This separation approach allows for independent exploration of the scales. Analyses showed that vertical distributions obeyed different laws for small-scale fluxes and mesoscale fluxes (of sensible heat, water vapour, momentum and carbon dioxide) and for other variables (wind speed and air temperature fluctuations, coherence and degree of anisotropy). Vertical profiles of small-scale turbulent fluxes showed a strong decay that differed from generally accepted similarity models for the CBL. Vertical profiles of mesoscale fluxes and other variables clearly showed sharp inflections at the same relative (with respect to the reduced depth of the CBL) height of approximately 0.55 in the CBL. Conventional similarity models for sensible heat fluxes describe both small-scale turbulent and mesoscale flows. The present results suggest that mesoscale motions that reach up to the relative level of 0.55 could be initiated by thermal surface heterogeneity. Entrainment between the upper part of the CBL and the free atmosphere may cause mesoscale motions in that region of the CBL.  相似文献

The Hekla eruption cloud on 26–27 February 2000 was the first volcanic cloud to be continuously and completely monitored advecting above Iceland, using the C-band weather radar near the Keflavík international airport. Real-time radar observations of the onset, advection, and waning of the eruption cloud were studied using time series of PPI (plan-position indicator) radar images, including VMI normal, Echotop, and Cappi level 2 displays. The reflectivity of the entire volcanic cloud ranges from 0 to >60 dBz. The eruption column above the vent is essentially characterised by VMI normal and Cappi level 2 values, >30 dBz, due to the dominant influence of lapilli and ash (tephra) on the overall reflected signal. The cloud generated by the column was advected downwind to the north-northeast. It is characterised by values between 0 and 30 dBz, and the persistence of these reflections likely result from continuing water condensation and freezing on ash particles. Echotop radar images of the eruption onset document a rapid ascent of the plume head with a mean velocity of ~30 to 50 m s–1, before it reached an altitude of ~11–12 km. The evolution of the reflected cloud was studied from the area change in pixels of its highly reflected portions, >30 dBz, and tied to recorded volcanic tremor amplitudes. The synchronous initial variation of both radar and seismic signals documents the abrupt increase in tephra emission and magma discharge rate from 18:20 to 19:00 UTC on 26 February. From 19:00 the >45 dBz and 30–45 dBz portions of the reflected cloud decrease and disappear at about 7 and 10.5 h, respectively, after the eruption began, indicating the end of the decaying explosive phase. The advection and extent of the reflected eruption cloud were compared with eyewitness accounts of tephra fall onset and the measured mass of tephra deposited on the ground during the first 12 h. Differences in the deposit map and volcanic cloud radar map are due to the fact that the greater part of the deposit originates by fallout off the column margins and from the base of the cloud followed by advection of falling particle in lower level winds.Editorial responsibility: P. Three aircraft-based studies of boundary-layer fronts (BLFs) werecarried out during the experiment KABEG in April 1997near the sea-ice edge over the Davis Strait. The zone of strongestcross-front horizontal gradients showed a typical length scaleof 20 km, while the along-front scale was observed to beseveral hundreds of kilometres.The observed BLFs were stronger than the few previously reportedcases. Horizontal gradients of potential temperature and specifichumidity ranged up to 3 K or 0.25 g kg-1over 20 km, respectively.Low-level winds were around 15 m s-1 parallel to the ice edge.The capping inversion sloped from between250 and 400 m over sea ice to between 400 and 700 m over ocean.For two BLF cases turbulent fluxes and energy budgets are calculated.Turbulent energy fluxes show a factor 2 to 3 contrast acrossthe ice edge and range from 15 to 50 W m-2 over sea iceand from 50 to 100 W m-1 over open ocean.The mean boundary-layer energy budgets are dominated bycold, dry horizontal advection, which is exceededby vertical heat flux convergence.The momentum budgets are dominated by pressure gradient force,Coriolis force and momentum flux divergence.  相似文献

介绍了民航华东气象中心开发的上海机场终端区AMDAR(Aircraft Meteorological Data Relay)资料实时显示系统,简述了系统的基本原理和工作流程;并统计了AMDAR资料的分布特征,对机场出现的雷暴、大风、冰雪等天气进行了实例分析。结果表明:上海机场终端区AMDAR资料实时显示系统直观、实用,有效地提高该资料的使用率;AMDAR资料时空分辨率高,但分布不均匀,资料97.4%集中在00:00—15:00UTC时段和67.3%集中在4km以下的中低空区域;系统能够提供连续的高空风温分布,也能够捕捉到高空中小尺度天气特征,在某些天气过程中能够为短临预报提供良好的客观依据和辅助手段,具有一定的实用价值。  相似文献

为研究华北地区的气溶胶分布情况,利用2012—2014年飞机观测资料和MODIS卫星资料,对石家庄等地的气溶胶标高进行了分析。结果表明:(1)与飞机观测资料对比后认为可以利用MODIS光学厚度和常规能见度资料计算气溶胶标高;(2)华北地区春夏季气溶胶标高一般大于秋冬季;6个主要城市中,位于平原地区的城市气溶胶标高较低,西北山区城市标高较高;(3)在不进行飞行探测,仅使用地面资料和卫星资料,通过计算得到气溶胶垂直分布是可行的,尤其是在对流层中层的结果比底层更可信;(4)分别使用观测资料与拟合数据计算光学厚度,分析其误差后,确认在计算光学厚度的过程中可以使用气溶胶数密度指数递减假设。  相似文献

The aircraft-based experiment KABEG97 (Katabatic wind and boundary-layer front experiment around Greenland) was performed in April/May 1997. During the experiment, surface stations were installed at five positions on the ice sheet and in the tundra near Kangerlussuaq, West Greenland. A total of nine katabatic wind flights were performed during quite different synoptic situations and surface conditions, and low-level jets with wind speeds up to 25m s-1 were measured under strong synoptic forcing of the katabatic wind system. The KABEG data represent a unique data set for the investigation of katabatic winds. For the first time, high-resolution and accurate aircraft measurements can be used to investigate the three-dimensional structure of the katabatic wind system for a variety of synoptic situations.Surface station data show that a pronounced daily cycle of the near-surface wind is present for almost all days due to the nighttime development of the katabatic wind. In a detailed case study the stably-stratified boundary layer over the ice and the complex boundary-layer structure in the transition zone ice/tundra are investigated. The katabatic wind system is found to extend about 10 km over the tundra area and is associated with strong wind convergence and gravity waves. The investigation of the boundary-layer dynamics using the concept of a two-layer katabatic wind model yields the results that the katabatic flow is always a shooting flow and that the pure katabatic force is the main driving mechanism for the flow regime, although a considerable influence of the large-scale synoptic forcing is found as well.  相似文献

2014年7月3日,山西省人工降雨防雹办公室在该省忻州地区开展了国内首次大陆性积云飞机穿云探测。本文利用机载云物理探测资料,分析研究了不同发展阶段的积云宏、微观物理特性,主要结论有:(1)初生发展阶段的积云水平尺度约为8.2 km×5.5 km(经向×纬向,下同),云厚约2 km;云中以小云粒子为主,云滴凝结增长;水平方向上,云液水含量(LWC)和粒子浓度(Nc)的最大值均位于云体中心位置;垂直方向上,云水分布相对均匀,但随着高度增加,云粒子浓度变小,粒子尺度增大;粒子谱符合伽马分布,峰值量级为102 cm-3 μm-1,谱宽在100 μm以下。(2)成熟阶段的积云水平尺度约为4.6 km×10 km,云厚约4 km;云内可以观测到积冰和雨线;小云粒子浓度随高度增加起伏变化,3600 m、4100 m和4900 m高度处存在峰值;大云粒子浓度随高度先增加后减小,最大值出现云底以上1.6 km高度,云底以上1.3 km高度附近有降水粒子形成;粒子谱呈多峰分布,暖区符合伽马分布,冷区为伽马分布和M-P分布相结合,且随着高度的增加拓宽,4400 m高度以下的谱宽小于200 μm。(3)消散阶段积云尺度约为11 km×5.6 km,云厚约2 km,云下有降水粒子存在。  相似文献

Liquid and solid particles in the plumes of jet aircraft cruising in the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere lead to the formation of ice clouds (contrails), modify the microphysical properties of existing cirrus clouds, and provide sites for heterogeneous chemical reactions. Characterization of aviation-produced particles in terms of physico-chemical properties is an important step in assessing the global impact of aircraft emissions upon atmospheric chemistry and climate parameters. Chemistry and microphysics of the gas-aerosol system in aircraft plumes and its evolution in the atmosphere is a field of intense research. This paper reviews the current knowledge (mid-1998) and outlines possible atmospheric implications.  相似文献
