The establishment of a lunar control network is one of the core tasks in selenodesy, in which defining an absolute control point on the Moon is the most important step. However, up to now, the number of absolute control points has been very sparse. These absolute control points have mainly been lunar laser ranging retroreflectors, whose geographical location can be observed by observations on Earth and also identified in high resolution lunar satellite images. The Chang'e-3(CE-3) probe successfully landed on the Moon, and its geographical location has been monitored by an observing station on Earth. Since its positional accuracy is expected to reach the meter level, the CE-3 landing site can become a new high precision absolute control point. We use a sequence of images taken from the landing camera, as well as satellite images taken by CE-1 and CE-2, to identify the location of the CE-3 lander. With its geographical location known, the CE-3 landing site can be established as a new absolute control point, which will effectively expand the current area of the lunar absolute control network by 22%, and can greatly facilitate future research in the field of lunar surveying and mapping, as well as selenodesy. 相似文献

We derived the age-metallicity relation for the solar neighbourhood from theuvby, H photometry of F-stars using the evolutionary models of Hejlesen (1980). The IRAS and 2MASS associations for 193 T Tauri stars are identified in this paper. From the color–color diagrams and spectral index, it is found that the IR excesses for most samples are due to thermal emission from the circumstellar material, as suggested previously. It is also found that the IR excesses at IRAS region for few T Tauri stars and the near-IR excesses for some T Tauri stars are likely attributed to free-free emission or free-bound emission from the circumstellar ionized gas. Moreover, It is found in deredened J–H versus H–K color–color diagram that there is a slight separation in different spectral groups. We studied the behavior of magnetic field, horizontal motion and helicity in a fast emerging flux region NOAA 10488 which
eventually forms a δ spot. It is found that the rotation of photospheric footpoints forms in the earlier stage of magnetic
flux emergence and the relative shear motion of different magnetic flux systems appears later in this active region (AR).
Therefore the emerging process of the AR can be separated into two phases: rotation and shear. We have computed the magnetic
helicity injected into the corona using the local correlation tracking (LCT) technique. Furthermore we determined the vertical
component of current helicity density and the vertical component of induction electric fields Ez = (V× B)z in the photosphere. Particularly we have presented the comparison of the injection rate of magnetic helicity and the variation
of the current helicity density. The main results are as follows: (1) The strong shear motion (SSM) between the new emerging
flux system and the old one brings more magnetic helicity into the corona than the twisting motions. (2) After the maturity
of the main bipolar spots, their twist decreases and the SSM becomes dominant and the major contributor of magnetic non-potentiality
in the solar atmosphere in this AR. (3) The positions of the maxima of Ez (about 0.1 ∼ 0.2 V cm−1) shift from the twisting areas to the areas showing SSMs as the AR evolved from the rotation phase to the shear one, but
no obvious correlation is found between the kernels of Hα flare and Ez for the M1.6 flare in this AR. (4) The coronal helicity inferred from the horizontal motion of this AR amounts to −6 × 1043 Mx2. It is comparable with the coronal helicity of ARs producing flares with coronal mass ejections (CMEs) or helicity carried
away by magnetic clouds (MCs) reported in previous studies (Nindos, Zhang, and Zhang, 2003; Nindos and Andrews, 2004). In
addition, the formation of the δ configuration in this AR belongs to the third formation type indicated by Zirin and Liggett
(1987), i.e., collision of opposite polarities from different dipoles, and can be naturally explained by the SSM. 相似文献

The accretion-induced neutron star (NS) magnetic field evolution is studied through considering the accretion flow to drag the field lines aside and dilute the polar-field strength, and as a result the equatorial field strength increases, which is buried inside the crust on account of the accretion-induced global compression of star crust. The main conclusions of model are as follows: (i) the polar field decays with increase in the accreted mass; (ii) the bottom magnetic field strength of about 108 G can occur when the NS magnetosphere radius approaches the star radius, and it depends on the accretion rate as ; and (iii) the NS magnetosphere radius decreases with accretion until it reaches the star radius, and its evolution is little influenced by the initial field and the accretion rate after accreting ∼0.01 M⊙ , which implies that the magnetosphere radii of NSs in low-mass X-ray binaries would be homogeneous if they accreted the comparable masses. As an extension, the physical effects of the possible strong magnetic zone in the X-ray NSs and recycled pulsars are discussed. Moreover, the strong magnetic fields in the binary pulsars PSR 1831−00 and PSR 1718−19 after accreting about 0.5 M⊙ in the binary-accretion phase, 8.7 × 1010 and 1.28 × 1012 G , respectively, can be explained through considering the incomplete frozen flow in the polar zone. As an expectation of the model, the existence of the low magnetic field (∼3 × 107 G) NSs or millisecond pulsars is suggested. 相似文献

The 1998 Leonid meteor shower was observed at the Gaomeigu station of Yunnan Observatory during five successive days in November.
The visual records indicate that the number of meteors increased suddenly, from a ZHR of about 140 to over 400, in the early
morning of November 17th, Beijing time. But it decreased slowly in the following two days. During the maximum there was a
high proportion – about 10 percent – of very bright fireballs with enduring trains. The brightest one was about -10 magnitude
with a smoke train fading about three minutes after.
