Serious sediment deposition often occurs after the construction of tidal sluices in snrall or medium-sized tidal muddy estuaries, so desilting or dredging is needed to meet the demands of flood diseharge, saltwater retaining, and navigation in those areas. In this paper, the problem of sediment deposition induced by construction of tidal sluices is analyzed.Different problems of silting near tidal sluices for different types of estuaries are summed up. at the same time, corresponding methods are given to solve these probleras, and a few successful examples are also given. The idea of comprehensive regulation and utilization of estuaries is put forward, and some proposals for solution of sediment deposition in this kind of estuaries are made. 相似文献

Summary Limits of warm and cold stress in different climatic regions are determined by means of temperature, wind speed and humidity for the period 1976–1985. These values are measured at 2 PM local time during July for warm stress and at 7 AM local time during January for cold stress. Hvar (20 m ASL) is used to represent maritime climate, Zavian on the top of Mount Velebit (1594 m ASL) and Skrad (668 m ASL) in Gorski Kotar are representative of mountainous climate, and Zagreb (128 m ASL) is representative of continental low-land climate. Values of a biometeorological Temperature-Wind Speed-Humidity (TWH)-index higher than the 98% value of the theoretical distribution fitted to empirical data represent above normal extreme conditions at a given location, and TWH values less than 2% value of the theoretical distribution represent below normal extreme conditions. Summary This paper presents the first results of stress determinations in the Bohemian Massif utilizing televiewer data from deeper boreholes. The televiewer survey was originally carried out by Geological Survey Ostrava for the purpose of studying fractures and bedding in coal basins to depths of 2 km. A reinterpretation of the amplitude logs reveal a large number of stress-induced borehole elongations (breakouts) which occur in a direction perpendicular to the maximum horizontal principal stress (SH). The breakout analysis in the Upper Silesian, Meno and Kladno Basins indicates a dominant NW-SE direction of SH which is consistent with the pattern of stress orientation in Western Europe. The NE-SW trend observed in the Plze Basin is less reliable. A model for stress magnitude determinations is formulated as a linear programming problem. If the a priori information on rock strength properties is limited, it reduces to explicit formulas for stress regime estimates. The model is applied to data from the Upper Silesian Basin for which a compressional stress regime is derived. 相似文献

For the purpose of analysing light curves of active CB with an accretion disc being at the evolutional phase of an intensive matter exchange between the components a model for light-curve synthesis has been realized where the attention is given to systems like W Ser not sufficiently examined yet with regard that in them the accretion disc is formed around an ordinary star. In the paper one uses the elements presented in the first paper of this series. The model can successfully describe the essential characteristics of the observed light curves due to existence of an accretion disc and a hot spot, as well as those originated in the temperature distribution along the disc radius. The system components are considered in the framework of the nonsynchronous Roche model and the accretion disc of a constant thickness lies in the orbital plane around the star capturing the matter of the neighbouring component.The primary surrounded by the disc is situated relatively well within the Roche oval and its rotation can be significantly nonsynchronous. The internal structure of prominences appearing as twisted tubes was studied. The sample embraced 15 stable and 13 eruptive prominences, exposing patterns which possibly reflect a helical configuration. The equivalent pitch angles () of twisted fine structure features were measured. In some cases the evolution of the internal structure was followed and 49 independent measurements of the parameter were performed in total. The results are presented in the plane relating the parameter and the normalized prominence height. The eruptive prominences occupy the region characterized by > 50° and h > 0.8d, where h and d are the prominence height and the footpoint half-separation, respectively. All prominences characterized by h < 0.6d or by < 35° were stable. Such a result is in good agreement with an order of magnitude treatment of the forces acting in a curved magnetic tube, anchored at both ends in the photosphere. 相似文献

An analysis of the data concerning high-velocity stars from Eggen's catalogue aimed at a determination of the approximate slope of the mass function for the spherical component of our Galaxy, and at estimating the local circular velocity, as well as the local rotation velocity, as by-products, has been performed. Our conclusions are that:
- A linear dependence of the mass on the radius is very likely;
- the value of the limiting radius is most likely equal to (40±10) kpc;
- the two local velocities are approximately equal to each other, being both equal to (230±30) km s?1;
- the local escape velocity appears to be most likely equal to (520±30) km s?1;
- the total mass of a corona, obtained in this way, is (5±1)×1011 M ⊙.

We studied 24 spotless flares of Ha importance 1 which occurred during the 21st cycle of solar activity. The spotless flares could be grouped in three categories according to their location and time history of the associated active region. Our association of the flares with radio events was based on relative timing and on the flare importances. Weak microwave gradual rise and fall events were frequently recorded during the occurrence of the spotless flares. A few flares from our sample could be associated with impulsive and complex microwave bursts. The analysis of high-resolution H and white-light observations on the emergence of 73 active regions shows an intrinsically different behaviour for both the large and small ones. The small active regions (magnetic flux as 5 × 1021 Mx) display circular structures of supergranular size with pores only at the borders, whereas the large active regions show elongated structures with pores which develop at the center and later migrate towards the extremes. These observations are used to suggest two different models for the emergence of these two kinds of active regions: the small ones are produced by the superficial convective concentration of loosely packed dux and the large ones are the result of tightly wound flux ropes. 相似文献
