Accurate soil moisture information is useful in agricultural practice, weather forecasting, and various hydrological applications. Although land surface modeling provides a viable approach to simulating soil moisture, many factors such as errors in the precipitation can affect the accuracy of soil moisture simulations. This paper examined how precipitation rate and evapotranspiration rate affect the accuracy of soil moisture simulation using simple biosphere model with and without data assimilation through ensemble Kalman filter (EnKF). For each of the two variables, seven levels of relative errors (?20, ?10, ?5, 0, 5, 10 and 20 %) were introduced independently, thus a total of 49 combined cases were investigated. Observations from Wudaogou Hydrology Experimental site in the Huaihe River basin, China, were used to drive and verify the simulations. Results indicate that when the error of precipitation rate is within 10 % of the observations, the resulting error in soil moisture simulations is less significant and manageable, thus the simulated precipitation can be used to drive hydrological models in poorly gauged catchments when observations are not available. When the error of evapotranspiration rate is within 20 % of the observations, which is partly caused by model structural and parameterization errors, its impact on soil moisture simulation is less significant and can be acceptable. The change of the primary productivity across the Permian-Triassic boundary(PTB)remains controversial.In this study,records from two deep-water sections in South China(Xiakou and Xinmin sections)show the primary productivity decreased gradually from the latest Permian to the earliest Triassic,and five evolutionary stages Increase-Decrease-Recovery-RecessionStagnation)can be observed from Clarkina changxingensis-C.deflecta to Hindeodus parvus-Isarcicella isarcica zones.Primary productivity decreased abruptly from the base of C.meishanensis zone.Besides,for adjusting to the deterioration of the oceanic environment,the primary producers in the oceanic surface had changed to acritarch and cyanobacteria,which were more tolerant of stressful environment.Then the producers were under huge stagnation in the H.parvus-I.isarcica zone.The values of quantitative calculation of the primary productivity from the black rock series in the Dalong Formation were very high,corresponding to that of an upwelling area in modern ocean,which shows that the strata of the Dalong Formation in the study region are potential hydrocarbon source-rocks.This result may come from the fact that South China craton was located at the equatorial upwelling area during the Permian-Triassic transitions.But organic matter contents were different in various sections because they could be affected by redox conditions and diagenesis process after burial. 相似文献

地形对大地电磁场的影响规律研究对于实际大地电磁测深反演解释具有重要的意义。基于矢量有限元法进行了大地电磁三维地形响应数值模拟。首先与二维地形模拟结果比较,验证了算法的正确性;接着,分别对1个山峰地形和1个山谷地形进行了模拟;最后,比较了二维模拟与三维模拟结果。结果表明:三维阻抗张量的Zxy模式和Zyx模式都会受到地形影响;用二维地形模拟结果去近似三维地形响应,二维TE模式与真实三维响应结果差别很大,TM模式接近真实三维响应结果;如采用二维反演处理带地形的三维MT数据,TM极化模式反演更为合理。 相似文献

重点研究损伤对应变模态影响规律及其灵敏程度.根据计算结果,损伤处附近发生突变,损伤30%时突变区为梁长的12.5%.应变模态对非节点损伤非常敏感,应变模态也有明显改变,尤其是跨中损伤第1阶、四分之一跨损伤第3和第2阶.跨中损伤时,1阶应变模态除突变区外大多数应变几乎呈均匀下降趋势.四分之一跨损伤30%时,3阶应变模态第1峰值区及2阶模态第1、第2峰值区应变振型值下降至58.6%、71.9%及84.2%.所以,可利用应变模态的敏感性确定损伤位置和程度. 相似文献

IODP Expedition 350 was the first to be drilled in the rear part of the Izu-Bonin, although several sites had been drilled in the arc axis to fore-arc region; the scientific objective was to understand the evolution of the Izu rear arc, by drilling a deep-water volcaniclastic section with a long temporal record (Site U1437). The Izu rear arc is dominated by a series of basaltic to dacitic seamount chains up to ~100-km long roughly perpendicular to the arc front. Dredge samples from these are geochemically distinct from arc front rocks, and drilling was undertaken to understand this arc asymmetry. Site U1437 lies in an ~20-km-wide basin between two rear arc seamount chains, ~90-km west of the arc front, and was drilled to 1804 m below the sea floor (mbsf) with excellent recovery. We expected to drill a volcaniclastic apron, but the section is much more mud-rich than expected (~60%), and the remaining fraction of the section is much finer-grained than predicted from its position within the Izu arc, composed half of ashes/tuffs, and half of lapilli tuffs of fine grain size (clasts <3 cm). Volcanic blocks (>6.4 cm) are only sparsely scattered through the lowermost 25% of the section, and only one igneous unit was encountered, a rhyolite peperite intrusion at ~1390 mbsf. The lowest biostratigaphic datum is at 867 mbsf (~6.5 Ma), the lowest palaeomagnetic datum is at ~1300 mbsf (~9 Ma), and the rhyolite peperite at ~1390 mbsf has yielded a U–Pb zircon concordia intercept age of (13.6 + 1.6/?1.7) Ma. Both arc front and rear arc sources contributed to the fine-grained (distal) tephras of the upper 1320 m, but the coarse-grained (proximal) volcaniclastics in the lowest 25% of the section are geochemically similar to the arc front, suggesting arc asymmetry is not recorded in rocks older than ~13 Ma. 相似文献

Prediction of bursting water in a submarine mine (Sanshandao Gold Mine) is very important. The aim of this study was to understand the water sources, mixing ratios, and flow paths in a mining region by using hydrochemistry, principal component analysis (PCA), and rock mechanics. Field observations reveal that there are unusual geothermal gradients and complicated geological conditions. Samples collected from the surface and every depth of the tunnel were analyzed for various ions and isotopes (18O and D). PCA was used to identify the most likely water sources on the foundation of hydrochemistry and a conceptual model. Four kinds of water sources were identified: (1) water mixture of surface freshwater and seawater, (2) brine derived from a deep closed environment, (3) thermal brine derived from the northwestern fault (F3), and (4) Quaternary water. The water sources were variable with time at a sampling site. The combination of water sources in a specific sampling campaign can be decided by the positive scores on principal components (PCs). The PCA results indicate that the first and the fourth kind of water source appear in the deep tunnel with the continual mining activity. Mixing ratio calculations for each sampling campaign show that the first and the fourth kind of water source constitute a small proportion of the total water. The main water sources are the second and third kinds of water. Finally, water flow paths were determined based on the PCA, and rock mechanics is used to explain the change in the water flow paths after excavation. The results show the following: (1) There are several strong water diversion zones that distribute at a certain spacing interval on the large scale and (2) “zonal disintegration” is also found in the tunnel. The fractured zone and the non-fractured zone appear in turn around the tunnel. The rock mass in these two zones represents the tensile and compressive properties, respectively. Numerical simulation of fluid flow coupled with chemical reactions has been an active field in the hydrogeology community and many formulations have been programmed into different software. In recent years, this subject has attracted increasing interest in the reservoir simulation community, partly for the application of chemical methods for hydrocarbon extraction but also for research on the geological sequestration of CO2. In this paper, an extension to the concept of dual mesh for reactive transport modeling is presented. This approach involves two meshes, a low-resolution mesh to resolve the pressure equation and a high-resolution mesh to transport the species and to calculate the geochemical equilibrium. The main objective is to preserve the fine scale heterogeneities to reach a more accurate field behavior simulation than conventional approach which consist in performing simulations on a coarser mesh. The method is applied to a simulation of CO2 storage in the SPE10 model that keep a high resolution of the heterogeneities. 相似文献
