GRIDA3 (Shared Resources Manager for Environmental Data Analysis and Applications) is a multidisciplinary project designed to deliver an integrated system to forge solutions to some environmental challenges such as the constant increase of polluted sites, the sustainability of natural resources usage and the forecast of extreme meteorological events. The GRIDA3 portal is mainly based on Web 2.0 technologies and EnginFrame framework. The portal, now at an advanced stage of development, provides end-users with intuitive Web-interfaces and tools that simplify job submission to the underneath computing resources. The framework manages the user authentication and authorization, then controls the action and job execution into the grid computing environment, collects the results and transforms them into an useful format on the client side. The GRIDA3 Portal framework will provide a problem-solving platform allowing, through appropriate access policies, the integration and the sharing of skills, resources and tools located at multiple sites across federated domains. 相似文献

Peatlands are a large potential source of methane (CH4) to the atmosphere. In order to investigate the effects of climate change on CH4 emission from northern ombrotrophic peatlands, a simulation model coupling water table dynamics with methane emission was
developed for the Mer Bleue Bog in Ontario, Canada. The model was validated against reported values of CH4 flux from field measurements and the model outputs exhibited high sensitivity to acrotelm thickness, leaf area index, transmissivity
and slope of water table. With a 2–4°C temperature rise over the 4-year simulation period, the rate of CH4 release dropped significantly to under 0.1 mg m−2 day−1. On the other hand, mean CH4 emission increased by >26-fold when the increase in precipitation was >15%. When looking at the combined effects, the highest
CH4 release (13.3 mg m−2 day−1) was attained under the scenario of 2°C temperature rise and 25% precipitation increase. Results obtained in this study highlight
the importance of avoiding more extreme climate change, which would otherwise lead to enhanced methane release from peatlands

Extremely low water level events have frequently occurred in the middle–lower Yangtze River (MLYR) in recent years (2006–2011). Most of these drought events coincided with the initial operation of the Three Gorges Dam (TGD). The TGD was therefore the focus of controversy about the causes of the hydrological droughts of the rivers and lakes of the region. We quantified the effects of the TGD's operation on water levels from 2006 to 2011 using a newly developed hydrodynamic model. The operation of the TGD significantly exacerbated the severe hydrological droughts that occurred in late September to November because of water impoundment, but it increased water levels from April to early June in the MLYR because of the drawdown of TGD water levels. Evidence suggests that the recent extremely low water levels were mainly because of the remarkable decline in inflows to the MLYR resulting from precipitation changes and possible human activities. TRMM卫星闪电资料的优势在于从高空探测闪电活动,能在一定程度上反映对流云中上层的对流影响过程.利用2004—2014年TRMM卫星LIS闪电数据和江西省雷电监测定位网闪电数据对江西省境内闪电活动的时空分布特征进行了分析,并比较了两种数据之间的差异.江西省闪电活动年差异较大,季节变化明显,闪电发生高峰值为低峰值两倍多,高发期为6—9月,在该时段闪电活动多集中于午后到前半夜发生.闪电活动局地性很强,多发于江西省山地与地势较低的过渡带,正地闪高发区集中在江西省中部的偏东地区.对流有效位能(CAPE)高值区与闪电密度大值区对应,表明前者对闪电活跃区有较好的指示作用.江西省闪电时空分布与地形地势、大气环流、水热条件等诸多因素有关,卫星和地面数据之间也存在一些差异. 相似文献

目前江西省自动气象站数据质控软件仅依靠降水数据本身的时间、空间相关性进行质控,存在部分异常强降水量漏识别问题.文中利用江西省气象信息中心提供的雷达回波资料和国家站降水观测资料,设计了雷达综合反射率质控参数,并对逐6 min累计降水量和雷达综合反射率值进行统计分析,建立了江西本地化的不同等级6 min累计降水量对应的雷达综合反射率最低阈值质控方案.该方案能较好地检测出江西省自动站降水资料中与雷达回波强度不匹配的小时异常强降水数据.目前该方案已应用于江西省自动站逐小时降水量数据实时自动质控业务中,有效提高了自动站异常强降水的质控效果. 相似文献
