We studied the mineralogy, mineral chemistry, and compositions of 48 interior silicate inclusions and a large K-rich surface inclusion from the Colomera IIE iron meteorite. Common minerals in the interior silicate inclusions are Cr diopside and Na plagioclase (albite). They are often enclosed by or coexist with albitic glasses with excess silica and minor Fe-Mg components. This mineral assemblage is similar to the “andesitic” material found in the Caddo County IAB iron meteorite for which a partial melt origin has been proposed. The fairly uniform compositions of Cr diopside (Ca44Mg46Fe10) and Na plagioclase (Or2.5Ab90.0An7.5 to Or3.5Ab96.1An0.4) in Colomera interior inclusions and the angular boundaries between minerals and metal suggest that diopside and plagioclase partially crystallized under near-equilibrium conditions from a common melt before emplacement into molten metal. The melt-crystal assemblage has been called “crystal mush.” The bulk compositions of the individual composite inclusions form an array between the most diopside-rich inclusion and plagioclase. This is consistent only with a simple mechanical mixing relationship, not a magmatic evolution series. We propose a model in which partly molten metal and crystal mush were mixed together by impact on the IIE parent body. Other models involving impact melting of the chondritic source material followed by growth of diopside and plagioclase do not easily explain near equilibrium growth of diopside and Na plagioclase, followed by rapid cooling. In the K-rich surface inclusion, K feldspar, orthopyroxene, and olivine were found together with diopside for the first time. K feldspar (sanidine, Or92.7Ab7.2An0.1 to Or87.3Ab11.0An1.7) occurs in an irregular veinlike region in contact with large orthopyroxene crystals of nearly uniform composition (Ca1.3Mg80.5Fe17.8 to Ca3.1Mg78.1Fe18.9) and intruding into a relict olivine with deformed-oval shape. Silica and subrounded Cr diopside are present within such K-feldspar regions. Some enrichments of the albite component have been detected at the end of curved elongated nodules of K feldspar intruded into the mafic silicates. The textural relationships suggest that a K-rich melt was present. A K-rich melt is neither the first melt of a chondritic system nor a differentiation product of a Na-rich partial melt of chondritic material. The K-rich material may have originated as a fluid phase that leached K from surrounding materials and segregated by a mechanism similar to that proposed for the Na-rich inclusions. 相似文献

2015年1-5月西北太平洋上异常出现了7个热带风暴(Tropical Storms,TS),其中有5个发展成台风(Typhoons,TY),分别为气候平均态(1979-2015年)的2.5和3.6倍,亦即2015年的台风季提前展开。利用ERA-Interim再分析资料、JTWC热带气旋最佳化路径数据等资料,通过计算台风生成指数(Genesis Potential Index,GPI)和比较天气尺度和季节内振荡分量,探讨2015年台风季提前的原因。结果表明:1)2015年初异常活跃的台风活动与2015/2016年超级El Niño事件于西北太平洋上引发的海气状态异常有关。2)通过对大尺度环境场和台风潜在生成指数(GPI)的诊断分析发现,动力因子(低层涡度、垂直速度)和热力因子(与海表面温度、大气温度有关的潜在强度、中低层大气相对湿度)均对2015年1-5月台风的发生有正贡献。其中,涡度项的贡献最大,相对湿度的贡献次之。3)3~10 d天气尺度扰动和10~90 d季节内振荡在2015年1-5月也异常活跃,有利于TS和TY的生成与发展。 相似文献

利用55年的NCEP/NCAR再分析资料, 采用合成分析等方法探讨了冬、 夏季北半球大气遥相关型的差异及其与温度场的关系。主要结果有: 北半球冬、 夏季典型的大气遥相关型具有很大的差异, 且大气遥相关路径的偏折与温度场的变化有密切的关系。北半球冬季, 呈经向型分布特征的大气遥相关路径在温度纬向梯度正负号发生改变处发生偏折; 而在北半球夏季, 由于温度场分布呈现纬向特征, 遥相关路径不易产生南北向的偏折, 从而使得异常中心基本上沿纬圈分布, 呈明显的纬向特征。此外, 由于冬季等温线南北起伏明显的区域往往位于东西方向海陆交界处, 因此冬季大气遥相关路径往往在东西向海陆交界处发生偏折。 相似文献

It has long been recognized that the evolution ot marine storms may De strongly alIected Dy the nuxtransfer processes over the ocean. High winds in a storm can generate large amounts of spray, which canmodify the transfer of momentum, heat, and moisture across the air-sea interface. However, the role of seaspray and air-sea processes in western Pacific typhoons has remained elusive. In this study, the impact ofsea spray on air-sea fluxes and the evolution of a typhoon over the western Pacific is investigated using acoupled atmosphere-sea-spray modeling system. Through the case study of the recent Typhoon Fengshenfrom 2002, we found that: (1) Sea spray can cause a significant latent heat flux increase of up to 40% ofthe interfacial fluxes in the typhoon; (2) Taking into account the effects of sea spray, the intensity of themodeled typhoon can be increased by 30% in the 10-m wind speed, which may greatly improve estimatesof storm maximum intensity and, to some extent, improve the simulations of overall storm structure in theatmospheric model; (3) The effects of sea spray are mainly focused over the high wind regions around thestorm center and are mainly felt in the lower part of the troposphere. 相似文献

This study analyzes landfall locations of tropical cyclones(TCs)over the western North Pacific during 1979–2018.Results demonstrate that the landfall locations of TCs over this region have shifted northward during the last four decades,primarily due to the shift of landfalling TC tracks,with the decreasing/increasing proportion of westward/northward TC tracks.In particular,the northward shift of the landfalling TCs was not related to their formation locations,which have not markedly changed,whereas"no-landed"TCs have significantly shifted northward.TC movement was significantly and positively correlated to the zonal component of the steering flow,while the correlation between TC movement and the meridional component of the steering flow was relatively unobvious.The westward steering flow in the tropical central Pacific that occurred around the formation and early development of the westward TCs was significantly weakened,which was unfavorable for their westward movement,thereby,causing the higher proportions of northward moving tracks.This weakened westward flow was related to the northward shift of the subtropical high ridge,which was caused by significant weakening of the southern part of the subtropical high.The vertical wind shear,sea surface temperature,and convective available potential energy also showed that the northern region of the western North Pacific became more favorable for TC development,whereas the upper divergence,low-layer relative vorticity,and accumulated water vapor content were not obviously related to the northward shift of TCs. 相似文献

As one of the most important mesoscale ocean features, the mesoscale eddies are omnipresent and have significant impact on the overlying atmosphere. Based on the comprehensive review of the influence of mesoscale eddies on the atmospheric boundary layer and the local circulation, the corresponding physical mechanisms and their impacts on weather systems were presented systematically. ①Eddy-induced SST anomalies may modify the surface wind speed, horizontal divergence, cloud and precipitation through turbulence heat flux anomalies. Meanwhile, additional secondary circulations arise over the eddies. What is more, there are obvious regional and seasonal differences for atmospheric responses. ② Studies in the South China Sea, the Kuroshio Extension region and the Southern Ocean indicate that atmospheric responses to mesoscale eddies can be explained by the changes of sea level pressure or the vertical momentum transport. These two mechanisms can be distinguished by the phase relationship between the atmospheric anomaly center and the eddy core. Diagnosis on the inner dynamical processes may draw better conclusions. ③The energy conversions are affected by mesoscale eddies, which may affect storm tracks and jet streams, and finally result in distant influences on weather patterns.
