The article presents self-consistent computations of the spherically symmetric envelope of a massive (M=20M ) star whose envelope is flowing outward under the action of continuum radiation pressure. A system of equations describing the out flow for arbitrary optical depth, degree of ionization, and opacity κ are obtained. A numerical solution is obtained for the case of constant κ and degree of ionization via approaching integrations from the singularities and smooth joining in the intermediate region. Asymptotic solutions are found in the vicinity of the sonic point and the singularity at infinity.  相似文献

The mountains of north-eastern Inner Asia comprise the Mongolia-Siberian orogenic belt which has a complex structure. The southern flank of the belt consists of a chain of large domal uplifts. The Baikal rift zone is located on the northern flank. The central segment is composed of zones of linear warping. The tectonic landforms rest on a large domal basement uplift. The morphology of the latter is paragenetically connected with the shape of the asthenolith underlying the belt. The neotectonic zones are also connected with the deep structure elements.The Mongolia-Siberian mountain belt is a group of orogenic forms typical of intracontinental mountain areas.  相似文献

Motivated by the various examples of spatial variability in the power of the acoustic spectrum, we attempted to look for spatial variability in the peak frequency of the spectrum. However, the determination of this peak frequency on a spatial scale of a single pixel (8 arc sec for the GONG data) is limited by the stochastic variations in the power spectrum presumably caused by the stochastic nature of the excitation process. Averaging over a large number of spectra (100 spectra from a 10 × 10 pixel area) produced stabler spectra. The peak frequencies of 130 such locations were found to be distributed with a FWHM of about 130 Hz. A map of the spatial variation of this peak frequency did not show any strong feature with statistically significant deviation from the mean of the distribution. Likewise, the scatter in the peak frequencies masked the detection of magnetic-field-induced changes in the peak frequency. On a much larger scale, the N latitudes showed a slightly lower value of the peak frequency as compared to the S latitudes, although the difference (25 Hz) is barely larger than the r.m.s. spread (20 Hz).  相似文献

The phenol-degrading system which can be induced in Rhodococcus spec. P 1 brings about the metabolization of phenol via the β-ketoadipate path (ortho-cleavage of catechol). For the more precise characterization of the degradation performance investigations were made into the influences of different carbon sources: glucose, galactose, ribose, arabinose, xylose, acetate, citricacid, mandelic acid, protocatechoic acid, glycerol, tryptophane, phenylalanine and the complex substrate of nutrient broth as well as succinate, catechol and benzoate. Only the three last-named substances show an influence: succinate inhibits only the synthesis of phenol hydroxylase, catechol and benzoate inhibit the synthesis and activity of phenol hydroxylase. As a comparison of the results with literature shows, even at the same path of degradation there are different regulating mechanismus in the different microorganisms.  相似文献

The paper studies the effect of the solids retention time (SRT) on the rate of biodegradation of morpholine (M), sulfanilic acid (SA), nitrilotriacetic acid (NTA), and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) in laboratory mixed culture systems, fed semicontinuously on a once-a-day feeding schedule. It has been found that the minimum values of SRT at which microorganisms degrading the above compounds were washed out from the cultivation systems were 3, 1, 1, and 20 days for M, SA, NTA, and EDTA systems, respectively. A critical value of SRT was defined as that below which the rate of substrate removal is lower than the rate of substrate application into the system. The critical values of SRT were found to be 8, 3, 2.5, and above 20 days for M, SA, NTA, and EDTA systems, respectively. In a range between the minimum and critical values of SRT the mixed culture system cannot give stable efficiency of a given compound removal and the effluent concentration can be expected to vary considerably. Above the critical value of SRT, every cultivation system has a potential capability of shock loading treatment.  相似文献
