The properties of nonplanar (cylindrical and spherical) ion-acoustic solitary waves (IA SWs) in an unmagnetized, collisionless electron-positron-ion (e-p-i) plasma, whose constituents are q-distributed electrons and positrons and inertial ions, are investigated by deriving the modified Gardner (MG) equation. The well known reductive perturbation method is employed to derive the MG equation. The basic features of nonplanar IA Gardner solitons (GSs) are discussed. It is found that the properties of nonplanar IA GSs (rarefactive and compressive) are significantly affected by the particle nonextensivity. 相似文献
Accurate prediction of ore grade is essential for many basic mine operations, including mine planning and design, pit optimization,
and ore grade control. Preference is given to the neural network over other interpolation techniques for ore grade estimation
because of its ability to learn any linear or non-linear relationship between inputs and outputs. In many cases, ensembles
of neural networks have been shown, both theoretically and empirically, to outperform a single network. The performance of
an ensemble model largely depends on the accuracy and diversity of member networks. In this study, techniques of a genetic
algorithm (GA) and k-means clustering are used for the ensemble neural network modeling of a lead–zinc deposit. Two types of ensemble neural network
modeling are investigated, a resampling-based neural ensemble and a parameter-based neural ensemble. The k-means clustering is used for selecting diversified ensemble members. The GA is used for improving accuracy by calculating
ensemble weights. Results are compared with average ensemble, weighted ensemble, best individual networks, and ordinary kriging
models. It is observed that the developed method works fairly well for predicting zinc grades, but shows no significant improvement
in predicting lead grades. It is also observed that, while a resampling-based neural ensemble model performs better than the
parameter-based neural ensemble model for predicting lead grades, the parameter-based ensemble model performs better for predicting
zinc grades. 相似文献
We report on a sensitive survey for radio pulsar wind nebulae (PWN) towards 27 energetic and/or high-velocity pulsars. Observations were carried out at 1.4 GHz using the Very Large Array and the Australia Telescope Compact Array and utilized pulsar-gating to search for off-pulse emission. These observing parameters resulted in a considerably more sensitive search than previous surveys and could detect PWN over a much wider range of spatial scales (and hence ambient densities and pulsar velocities). However, no emission clearly corresponding to a PWN was discovered. Based on these non-detections we argue that the young and energetic pulsars in our sample have winds which are typical of young pulsars, but produce unobservable PWN because they reside in low-density ( n ∼0.003 cm−3) regions of the interstellar medium. However, non-detection of PWN around older and less energetic pulsars can only be explained if the radio luminosity of their winds is less than 10−5 of their spin-down luminosity, implying an efficiency at least an order of magnitude smaller than that seen for young pulsars. 相似文献
Sands belonging to Kamalapuram Formation of Paleocene-Eocene age are deposited in Cauvery basin as incised valley fill during a regressive cycle. Here we attempt to quantify the influence of diagenesis on pore-filling materials using rock physics template constrained by geohistory modelling. Primarily, porosity–velocity and acoustic impedance – the ratio of P-wave and S-wave velocity (VP/Vs) cross-plots are used as rock physics templates. Rock physics template has efficiently quantified pore-filling materials namely; contact cement and non-contact cement. The estimated contact cement and non-contact cement are correlated with conventional petrophysical logs within the selected depth interval. Further, this correlation is used to interpret the composition of pore-filling materials. Shallower depth intervals (I and II) exhibit moderate non-contact cement (4–5%) and insignificant contact cement (1–2% approx.) depositions. However, deeper interval (III) records a significant amount of pore-filling materials amounting average of 12% non-contact cement and 4% contact cement. Pore-filling materials demonstrate a positive correlation with the depth of burial. The fluid response is substantially affected by the degree of diagenesis, composition and spatial distribution of pore-filling materials. Shallower depth intervals (1770–1786 m and 1858–1878 m) are relatively more sensitive to fluid changes as it is affected by insignificant contact cement. The depth interval 1770–1786 m shows class II (oil) and class III (gas) amplitude variation with offset anomalies. The sand occurring in depth interval 1858–1878 m demonstrates class IIP (oil) and II (gas) anomaly. The deeper interval (2118–2170 m) is comparatively stiffer and demonstrates class I amplitude variation with offset (oil and gas sand) anomaly. 相似文献
There are numerous complex organic molecules containing carbon and oxygen atoms which show either C–C–O or C–O–C bonding backbone. This paper examines altogether 51 C–C–O and C–O–C bonding backbone molecules from ten different isomeric groups (C2H2O, C3H2O, C2H4O, C2H4O2, C3H4O, C2H6O, C2H6O2, C3H6O, C3H6O2, C3H8O) to summarize the present astronomical status of these molecules. Accurate calculations of enthalpy of formation of these molecules show that the isomers with C–C–O backbone are more stable than the C–O–C backbone. Interestingly, a detailed analysis of relevant astromolecules indicates that most of the observed astromolecules have the C–C–O backbone. As a matter of fact, of all the molecules examined in this study, 80% of the astronomically observed species have the C–C–O backbone while only 20% have the C–O–C backbone. In general, interstellar abundance of a molecule is controlled by some factors such as kinetics, formation and destruction pathways, thermodynamics etc. A proper consideration of these factors could explain the observed abundances of these molecules. All these possible key factors are discussed in this paper. 相似文献

Solid waste management (SWM) is a crucial service governed by urban local bodies (ULB). Hence, it is essential to identify challenges and opportunities in the SWM procedures and practices towards improved delivery of services. In this study, analytic hierarchy process (AHP) has been applied in the three sub-divisional towns of the Hooghly district, West Bengal (India), namely Chandannagar, Hooghly-Chinsurah and Serampore to analyze the existing SWM scenario. As AHP is a Multi-Criteria Decision Making tool, hence, it has been deployed by experts to come up with SWM performance index, clearly demonstrating the strengths and weaknesses of management strategies in selected study sites. This article further advances the significance of the AHP method by carving out multi-layered realities through the quantification of qualitative insights across various segments of waste management in the three towns. While interviews with waste management officials led to the formulation of key performance indicators and sub-indicators matrix, the obtained normalized weights brought to the fore the real engagement and actions executed by each of these towns in managing solid wastes. The application of this innovative AHP method ensured accuracy in the ranking system across performance of the specified ULBs. This AHP-induced situational analysis of SWM is not only significant in terms of policy formulation in the ULBs of the Hooghly district but has potentials to work at scales.
