A global excitation variable is introduced, as a conformal factor of the metric that depends only on time, into the Einstein theory of gravitation formulated in terms of conformally invariant variables. The dynamics of this global excitation is isolated from the Einstein equations by direct averaging of their dynamical part over large spatial volumes. The conditions are found under which this dynamics duplicates the dynamics of the Friedmann cosmological model. We state the time-dependent problem in the Jordan-Brans-Dicke tensor-scalar theory of gravitation. We show that in the conformally corresponding space the equations of the problem have the same form as the Einstein equations with an extra source in the form of the components of the energy-momentum tensor of the scalar field. We discuss the question whether Birkhoff's theorem can hold in the Jordan-Brans-Dicke theory. We simultaneously obtain a formula that expresses the mass of an isolated static object as a function of the distribution of pressure of matter. A consistent perturbation theory is formulated on the basis of a recently proposed method of reparameterization-invariant Hamiltonian reduction, and a linearized limit in the oscillator approximation of General Relativity is considered. Possible physical consequences of interpreting the nonzero local Hamiltonian as the gravitational field energy are discussed. The physical and geometrical meanings of reduced action variables are investigated. A qualitative conclusion is drawn about the dependence of the distribution of phases of relict gravitational waves at the current epoch on the initial conditions at the time of the Big Bang.  相似文献

Natural, low-frequency, hydromagnetic oscillations of an isolated, nonrotating neutron star, which are localized in the peripheral crust, the structure of which is determined by the electron-nuclear plasma (the Ae phase), are studied. The plasma medium of the outer crust is treated as a homogeneous, infinitely conducting, incompressible continuum, the motions of which are determined by the equations of magnetohydrodynamics. In the approximation of a constant magnetic field inside the crust (the magnetic field outside the star is assumed to have a dipole structure), the spectrum of normal poloidal and toroidal hydromagnetic oscillations, due to presumed residual fluctuations of flow and their associated fluctuations in magnetic field strength, is calculated. Numerical estimates given for the periods of MHD oscillations fall in the range of periods of radio pulsar emission, indicating a close connection between the residual hydromagnetic oscillations and the electromagnetic activity of neutron stars.
