We have studied a large (12 × 22 × 30 cm) spinel lherzolite xenolith with undeformed margins in alkali basalt (basanite) from the eroded crater of Late Cenozoic Shavaryn Tsaram-1 volcano in western Mongolia. The xenolith was sampled along its median transversal profile, at every 15–20 mm for bulk chemistry of lherzolite and basalt (ICP-MS) and at 4–10 mm for the chemistry of olivine, orthopyroxene, clinopyroxene, and Cr-spinel minerals, and of material filling cracks (LA ICP-MS). Incompatible elements (especially, LREE) are distributed unevenly over the xenolith, both in lherzolite and in its constituent minerals, as well as in crack-filling material, with abnormal LREE enrichment in some specimens. Judging by the measured trace-element spectra compared with the model patterns, incompatible elements reside in different amounts as interstitial impurity in cracks inside and between mineral grains in lherzolite, also being a substitutional impurity in the lherzolite constituent minerals. Experimental acid leaching of specimens from sites of high crack density showed (La/Yb)n ratios in the crack fill to be much higher than in the basalt host and more so in bulk lherzolite (180 against 33 and 1.5–3.6, respectively). The proportional contents of P and Ca in the leaching solution, especially in that from the xenolith’s center mark the presence of an apatite microphase, which can be a LREE repository.The observed patterns of LREE and other incompatible elements in the xenolith and in the host alkali basalt fit a model implying that mobile elements residing as interstitial impurity came with fluids which were released from rising basaltic magma and percolated into the xenolith along cracks. 相似文献

Based on the magnetopause observations near the Earth by the Prognoz/Interball satellites in 1972–2000, the empirical model
of this boundary has been proposed, and the magnetopause behavior at different parameters of the oncoming solar wind has been
studied. For the first time, it has been detected that the Earth’s magnetopause is compressed by ∼5% in the direction perpendicular
to the plane including the vectors of the solar wind velocity and IMF. At the same time, any dependence of the subsolar magnetopause
position on the IMF B
z
component has not been revealed in the Progrnoz/Interball data. The proposed magnetopause model can be used to model the

The results of biohydrogeochemical monitoring are used to study time-dependent variations in the hydrogeochemical characteristics of the Lake Karymskii water mass, the state and characteristics of underwater discharge zones in the Tokarev crater (formed in 1996), hydrogeochemical characteristics of thermal springs around the lake, and the biota succession in the lake for the period 1996–2006 (2007). We detected a stratification in the chemical composition of water over depth and the presence of persistent zones of increased concentrations of dissolved oxygen. We found an alkalization of lake water and a decrease in its total salinity. The new thermal springs and underwater discharges of thermal water and gases were found to be continuing. The first data were obtained on the concentration of microelements in the thermal springs of the Karymskii basin. The biodiversity of algae in Lake Karymskii was largely increased by the species diversity of benthic Bacillariophyta. The plankton phytocomponent of the precatastrophic period was found to have been regenerated in the lake as of April 2007. 相似文献

The potential for improving the efficiency of wastewater biological treatment by using carbonate slime (heat power engineering waste) as a secondary material resource is illustrated by the case of Kazan Synthetic Rubber Works. The details of interaction between carbonate slime and activated-sludge microorganisms with inorganic components of plant wastewater are considered. We present the results of our long-term photometric and spectroscopic observations at the Russian–Turkish RTT-150 telescope for the optical counterpart to one of the best-known sources, representatives of the class of fast X-ray transients, IGR J17544-2619. Based on our optical data, we have determined for the first time the orbital and physical parameters of the binary system by the methods of Doppler spectroscopy.We have calculated theoretical spectra of the optical counterpart by applying non- LTE corrections for selected lines and obtained the parameters of the stellar atmosphere (T eff = 33 000 K, log g = 3.85, R = 9.5 R ⊙, and M = 23 M ⊙). The latter suggest that the optical star is not a supergiant as has been thought previously. 相似文献

Measurement of the floor in the interplanetary magnetic field and estimation of the time-invariant open magnetic flux of the
Sun require knowledge of closed magnetic flux carried away by coronal mass ejections (CMEs). In contrast with previous papers,
we do not use global solar parameters to estimate such values: instead we identify different large-scale types of solar wind
for the 1976 – 2000 interval to obtain the fraction of interplanetary CMEs (ICMEs). By calculating the magnitude of the interplanetary
magnetic field B averaged over two Carrington rotations, the floor of the magnetic field can be estimated from the B value at a solar cycle minimum when the number of ICMEs is minimal. We find a value of 4.65±0.6 nT, in good agreement with
