A functional model for a bundle block adjustment in the inertial reference frame was developed, implemented and tested. This approach enables the determination of rotation parameters of planetary bodies on the basis of photogrammetric observations. Tests with a self-consistent synthetic data set showed that the implementation converges reliably toward the expected values of the introduced unknown parameters of the adjustment, e.g., spin pole orientation, and that it can cope with typical observational errors in the data. We applied the model to a data set of Phobos using images from the Mars Express and the Viking mission. With Phobos being in a locked rotation, we computed a forced libration amplitude of \(1.14^\circ \pm 0.03^\circ \) together with a control point network of 685 points.  相似文献

The Doppler orbitography and radiopositioning integrated by satellite (DORIS) system was originally developed for precise orbit determination of low Earth orbiting (LEO) satellites. Beyond that, it is highly qualified for modeling the distribution of electrons within the Earth’s ionosphere. It measures with two frequencies in L-band with a relative frequency ratio close to 5. Since the terrestrial ground beacons are distributed quite homogeneously and several LEOs are equipped with modern receivers, a good applicability for global vertical total electron content (VTEC) modeling can be expected. This paper investigates the capability of DORIS dual-frequency phase observations for deriving VTEC and the contribution of these data to global VTEC modeling. The DORIS preprocessing is performed similar to commonly used global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) preprocessing. However, the absolute DORIS VTEC level is taken from global ionospheric maps (GIM) provided by the International GNSS Service (IGS) as the DORIS data contain no absolute information. DORIS-derived VTEC values show good consistency with IGS GIMs with a RMS between 2 and 3 total electron content units (TECU) depending on solar activity which can be reduced to less than 2 TECU when using only observations with elevation angles higher than \(50^\circ \) . The combination of DORIS VTEC with data from other space-geodetic measurement techniques improves the accuracy of global VTEC models significantly. If DORIS VTEC data is used to update IGS GIMs, an improvement of up to 12  % can be achieved. The accuracy directly beneath the DORIS satellites’ ground-tracks ranges between 1.5 and 3.5 TECU assuming a precision of 2.5 TECU for altimeter-derived VTEC values which have been used for validation purposes.  相似文献

The H. J. Andrews Experimental Forest (HJA) encompasses the 6400 ha Lookout Creek watershed in western Oregon, USA. Hydrologic, chemistry and precipitation data have been collected, curated, and archived for up to 70 years. The HJA was established in 1948 to study the effects of harvest of old-growth conifer forest and logging-road construction on water quality, quantity and vegetation succession. Over time, research questions have expanded to include terrestrial and aquatic species, communities and ecosystem dynamics. There are nine small experimental watersheds and 10 gaging stations in the HJA, including both reference and experimentally treated watersheds. Gaged watershed areas range from 8.5 to 6242 ha. All gaging stations record stage height, water conductivity, water temperature and above-stream air temperature. At nine of the gage sites, flow-proportional water samples are collected and composited over 3-week intervals for chemical analysis. Analysis of stream and precipitation chemistry began in 1968. Analytes include dissolved and particulate species of nitrogen and phosphorus, dissolved organic carbon, pH, specific conductance, suspended sediment, alkalinity, and major cations and anions. Supporting climate measurements began in the 1950s in association with the first small watershed experiments. Over time, and following the initiation of the Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) grant in 1980, infrastructure expanded to include a set of benchmark and secondary meteorological stations located in clearings spanning the elevation range within the Lookout Creek watershed, as well as a large number of forest understory temperature stations. Extensive metadata on sensor configurations, changes in methods over time, sensor accuracy and precision, and data quality control flags are associated with the HJA data.  相似文献

Equilibrium and disequilibrium degassing of a volatile phase from a magma of K-phonolitic composition was investigated to assess its behavior upon ascent. Decompression experiments were conducted in Ar-pressurized externally heated pressure vessels at superliquidus temperature (1050 °C), in the pressure range 10–200 MPa using pure water as fluid phase. All experiments were equilibrated at 200 MPa and then decompressed to lower pressures with rates varying from 0.0028 to 4.8 MPa/s. Isobaric saturation experiments were performed at the same temperature and at 900–950 °C to determine the equilibrium water solubility in the pressure range 30–250 MPa. The glasses obtained from decompression experiments were analyzed for their dissolved water content, vesicularity and bubble size distribution. All decompressed samples presented a first event of bubble nucleation at the capsule–melt interface. Homogeneous bubble nucleation in the melt only occurred in fast-decompressed experiments (4.8 and 1.7 MPa/s), for ΔP ≅ 100 MPa. For these decompression rates high water over-saturations were maintained until a rapid exsolution was triggered at ΔP > 150 MPa. For slower rates (0.0028, 0.024, 0.17 MPa/s) the degassing of the melt took place by diffusive growth of the bubbles nucleating at the capsule–melt interface. This process sensibly reduced water over-saturation in the melt, preventing homogeneous nucleation to occur. For decompression rates of 0.024 and 0.17 MPa/s low water over-saturations were attained in the melt, gradually declining toward equilibrium concentrations at low pressures. A near-equilibrium degassing path was observed for a decompression rate of 0.0028 MPa/s. Experimental data combined with natural pumice textures suggest that both homogeneous and heterogeneous bubble nucleations occurred in the phonolitic magma during the AD 79 Vesuvius plinian event. Homogeneous bubble nucleation probably occurred at a depth of ∼ 3 km, in response to a fast decompression of the magma during the ascent.  相似文献

The suitability of the physically based model SHETRAN for simulating sediment generation and delivery with a high degree of spatial (20 m) and temporal (sub‐hourly) resolution was assessed through application of the model to a 167‐km2 catchment leading to an estuary in New Zealand. By subdividing the catchment and conducting calculations on a computer cluster for a 6‐month hydrology initialisation period, it was possible to simulate a large rainfall event and its antecedent conditions in 24 h of computation time. The model was calibrated satisfactorily to catchment outlet flow and sediment flux for a large rainfall event in two subcatchments (~2 km2). Validation for a separate subcatchment was successful for flow (Nash–Sutcliff efficiency of 0.84) with a factor 2.1 over‐prediction for sediment load. Validation for sediment at full catchment scale using parameters from the subcatchment scale was good for flow but poor for sediment, with gross under‐estimation of the dominant stream sources of sediment. After recalibration at catchment scale, validation for a separate event gave good results for flow (Nash–Sutcliff efficiency of 0.93) and sediment load within a factor of two of measurements. An exploratory spatially explicit landslide model was added to SHETRAN, but it was not possible to test this fully because no landslides were observed in the study period. Application to climate change highlighted the non‐linear response to extreme rainfall. However, full exploration of land use and climate change and the evaluation of uncertainty were severely constrained by computational limitations. In this paper, we examined the peak flow distribution on a realization of networks obtained with stochastic network models. Three network models including the uniform model, the Scheidegger model, and the Gibbsian model were utilized to generate networks. The network efficiency in terms of drainage time is highest on the Scheidegger model, whereas it is lowest on the uniform model. The Gibbsian model covers both depending on the parameter value of β. The magnitude of the peak flow at the outlet itself is higher on the Scheidegger model compared to the uniform model. However, the results indicate that the maximum peak flows can be observed not just at the outlet but also other parts of the mainstream. The results show that the peak flow distribution on each stochastic model has a common multifractal spectrum. The minimum value of α, which is obtained in the limit of a sufficiently large q, is equal to the fractal dimension of a single river. The multifractal properties clearly show the difference among three stochastic network models and how they are related. Moreover, the results imply that the multifractal properties can be utilized to estimate the value of β for a given drainage network.  相似文献
