The results of experiments on the physical modeling of long-range infrasonic propagation in the atmosphere are given. Such modeling is based on the possible coincidence between the forms of the vertical profiles of the effective sound speed stratification in the atmospheric boundary layer (between 0 and 600 m for the case under consideration) and in the atmosphere as a whole (from the land surface up to thermospheric heights (about 150 km)). The source of acoustic pulses was an oscillator of detonation type. Owing to the detonation of a gas mixture of air (or oxygen) and propane, this generator was capable of producing short, powerful (the maximum acoustic pressure was on the order of 30 to 60 Pa at a distance of 50 to 100 m from the oscillator), and sufficiently stable acoustic pulses with a spectral maximum at frequencies of 40 to 60 Hz and a pulsing period of 20 to 30 s. The sites of acoustic-signal recording were located at different distances (up to 6.5 km) from the source and in different azimuthal directions. The temperature and wind stratifications were monitored in real time during the experiments with an acoustic locator—a sodar—and a temperature profiler. The data on the physical modeling of long-range sound propagation in the atmosphere are analyzed to verify the physical and mathematical models of predicting acoustic fields in the inhomogeneous moving atmosphere on the basis of the parabolic equation and the method of normal waves. A satisfactory agreement between calculated and experimental data is obtained. One more task was to compare the theoretical relations between variations in the azimuths and angles of tilting of sound rays about the horizon and the parameters of anisotropic turbulence in the lower troposphere and stratosphere with the experimental data. A theoretical interpretation of the experimental results is proposed on the basis of the theory of anisotropic turbulence in the atmosphere. We report here U–Pb electron microprobe ages from zircon and monazite associated with corundum- and sapphirine-bearing granulite facies rocks of Lachmanapatti, Sengal, Sakkarakkottai and Mettanganam in the Palghat–Cauvery shear zone system and Ganguvarpatti in the northern Madurai Block of southern India. Mineral assemblages and petrologic characteristics of granulite facies assemblages in all these localities indicate extreme crustal metamorphism under ultrahigh-temperature (UHT) conditions. Zircon cores from Lachmanapatti range from 3200 to 2300 Ma with a peak at 2420 Ma, while those from Mettanganam show 2300 Ma peak. Younger zircons with peak ages of 2100 and 830 Ma are displayed by the UHT granulites of Sengal and Ganguvarpatti, although detrital grains with 2000 Ma ages are also present. The Late Archaean-aged cores are mantled by variable rims of Palaeo- to Mesoproterozoic ages in most cases. Zircon cores from Ganguvarpatti range from 2279 to 749 Ma and are interpreted to reflect multiple age sources. The oldest cores are surrounded by Palaeoproterozoic and Mesoproterozoic rims, and finally mantled by Neoproterozoic overgrowths. In contrast, monazites from these localities define peak ages of between 550 and 520 Ma, with an exception of a peak at 590 Ma for the Lachmanapatti rocks. The outermost rims of monazite grains show spot ages in the range of 510–450 Ma.While the zircon populations in these rocks suggest multiple sources of Archaean and Palaeoproterozoic age, the monazite data are interpreted to date the timing of ultrahigh-temperature metamorphism in southern India as latest Neoproterozoic to Cambrian in both the Palghat–Cauvery shear zone system and the northern Madurai Block. The data illustrate the extent of Neoproterozoic/Cambrian metamorphism as India joined the Gondwana amalgam at the dawn of the Cambrian. 相似文献

A numerical model is developed for the generation of internal waves induced by a barotropic tidal wave travelling over large bottom features. Motion equations consider the non-linear terms, as well as the terms responsible for horizontal turbulent exchange. The fluid is assumed to be continuously stratified. In the framework of the developed model, a packet of short non-linear internal waves is shown to occur together with a long baroclinic tide. A new OH maser was detected in January 2008 toward the infrared source IRAS 05338-0624 in the dark cloud L1641N. The observations were carried out on the Nan cay Radio Telescope (France) in the 1667 and 1665 MHz OH lines. In the spectra of both lines, thermal OH emission from the surrounding molecular cloud is present at radial velocities V LSR = 6–9 km/s. In addition, a narrow maser feature is present in both lines at V LSR = 2 km/s in the profiles obtained on January 7, 2008; the peak flux densities at 1667 and 1665 MHz are 1.5 and 0.4 Jy, respectively. No OH maser emission was detected in February–July 2008. Then, a maser feature was again observed in the 1665 MHz line on August 20, 2008, at the same velocity as in January, V LSR = 2 km/s, with a peak flux density of 0.4 Jy. No 1667 MHz counterpart was observed with an upper limit of ~0.1 Jy. Emission in both OH lines was again absent on September 18. The source was also observed in the H2O line at λ = 1.35 cm on the 22-m radio telescope of the Pushchino Radio Astronomy Observatory (Russia) on February 7 and 13, 2008. In both cases, a maser feature was detected at V LSR = 9 km/s, with peak flux densities of 35 and 15 Jy, respectively. After the its apparent absence in April, H2O maser emission reappeared on May 14, 2008, at V LSR = 7 km/s with a flux density of about 15 Jy. The history of previous observations of the object in the OH and H2O lines is traced. The maser displays strong and rapid flux variability in the lines of both molecules, as is typical of young low-luminosity stellar objects at early stages of their evolution. 相似文献
