Seismic ambient noise of surface wave tomography was applied to estimate Rayleigh wave empirical Green's functions(EGFs) and then to study crust and uppermost mantle structure beneath the Makran region in south-east Iran.12 months of continuous data from January 2009 through January 2010,recorded at broadband seismic stations,were analyzed.Group velocities of the fundamental mode Rayleigh wave dispersion curves were obtained from the empirical Green's functions.Multiplefilter analysis was used to plot group velocity variations at periods from 10 to 50 s.Using group velocity dispersion curves,1-D vs velocity models were calculated between several station pairs.The final results demonstrate significant agreement to known geological and tectonic features.Our tomography maps display low-velocity anomaly with SW-NE trend,comparable with volcanic arc settings of the Makran region which may be attributable to the geometry of Arabian Plate subducting beneath the overriding the Lut block.The northward subducting Arabian Plate is determined by high-velocity anomaly along the Straits of Hormuz.At short periods(20 s),there is a sharp transition boundary between low- and high-velocity transition zone with the NW trending at the western edge of Makran which is attributable to the Minab fault system.  相似文献

In this paper, we use seismic waveform simulation to investigate the influence of source mechanism complexity, surface topography, and quality factor on the observed peak ground motions in May 28, 2004, moment magnitude (Mw) 6.2 Baladeh earthquake. The observed peak ground acceleration (PGA) pattern in this event, which is the biggest earthquake to hit the Central Alborz Mountains of Iran in modern instrumental era, is irregular in some respects. First, the observed PGA contours are elongated toward north-west and, second, the maximum observed PGA value of 1049 cm/s2 on the horizontal component of Hasan Keyf station 50 km away from the epicenter is quite high and irregular for an earthquake of this magnitude, at such long distance. In this study, we employ the spectral element method, implemented in SPECFEM3D software package to simulate the 3D wave propagation from several source models in the area. Our results suggest directivity effect is the main cause of the anomalous observations in this earthquake and could account for the elongation of PGA contours and also the anomalous maximum PGA value observed at Hasan Keyf strong motion station. We show that the surface topography has minor effect on the observed peak ground acceleration and the resulting PGA maps. Also by finding the bounds of seismic quality factor effect on the peak ground acceleration values, we show that this factor could not account for the elongation of iso-acceleration contours in the north-west direction.  相似文献

A cloud point extraction procedure is presented for the preconcentration and simultaneous determination of Ag+ and Pd2+ in various samples. After complexation with 2‐((2‐((1H‐benzo[d]imidazole‐2‐yl)methoxy)phenoxy)methyl)‐1H‐benzo[d]imidazol (BIMPI), which was used as a new chelating agent, analyte ions were quantitatively extracted to a phase rich in Triton X‐114 following centrifugation, and determination was carried out by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS). Under the optimum experimental conditions (i. e., pH = 7.0, 15.0·10–5 mol/L BIMPI and 0.036% (w/v) Triton X‐114), calibration graphs were linear in the range of 28.0–430.0 μg/L and 57.0–720.0 μg/L with detection limits of 10.0 and 25.0 μg/L for Ag+ and Pd2+, respectively. The enrichment factors were 35.0 and 28.0 for Ag+ and Pd2+, respectively. The method has been successfully applied to evaluate these metals in some real samples, including waste water, soil and hydrogenation catalyst samples.  相似文献

A systematic monitoring program was implemented in 1999 to evaluate the temporal changes in the physical properties and chemical composition of water from the Shahrood Qanat, which provides 30% of Shahroods municipal water needs. A qanat is a near-horizontal gallery which yields water by gravity. The results show that the physical properties, in contrast to the concentration of ions, are in an almost steady state condition and the slight variations are due to the travel time of water in the qanat gallery, the mixing of qanat water, the seasonal temperature fluctuation, and the likely unavoidable errors associated with long-term monitoring. They also show that severe drought during the past nine years has not yet affected the groundwater quality. The TDS of the qanat water is relatively low and the water is of the calcium-bicarbonate type. However, the above average concentrations of nitrate (14.9 mg/L) and phosphate (0.105 mg/L) may reflect the impact of the excessive use of fertilizers in the capture zone of the qanat. High Ca, Mg, pH, and a higher-than-recommended hardness value reflect the influence of carbonate-rock formations on the groundwater composition. The study shows that systematic monitoring is required to identify the erroneous data, to optimize the monitoring program and to characterize the water quality trend.
Resumen En 1999 fue implementado un programa intensivo y sistemático de monitoreo, para evaluar los cambios temporales en las propiedades físicas y en la composición química de la galería para captar agua tipo kanat de Shahrood. Los resultados muestran que las propiedades físicas se encuentran casi en una condición estacionaria y que las poco significativas y tenues variaciones, se deben al tiempo de viaje del agua en la galería kanat, a la mezcla del agua del kanat, a la fluctuación estacional de temperaturas y a los probables e inevitables errores asociados con el monitoreo de largo plazo. Con base en los resultados del presente estudio se determinó que las sequías más severas, ocurridas durante los últimos nueve años, no han afectado aún la calidad del agua subterránea. El contenido de TDS en el agua del kanat es relativamente bajo y el agua es del tipo bicarbonatada-calcica. Sin embargo las concentraciones por encima del promedio de nitratos (14.5 mg/L) y fosfatos (0.105 mg/L), reflejan el impacto del uso excesivo de fertilizantes en la zona de captura del kanat, sobre la calidad del agua subterránea. Los valores altos de Ca, Mg, pH y dureza reflejan la influencia de las formaciones carbonatadas sobre la composición del agua subterránea. El estudio muestra que se necesita un monitoreo sistemático para identificar los datos erróneos, lo mismo que para optimizar el programa de monitoreo y para predecir potenciales cambios futuros en la calidad del agua.

Résumé A partir de 1999 on a mis au point un programme de surveillance systématique pour évaluer les changements temporelle des propriétés physiques et chimiques de leau du captage de type qanat de Shahrood. Il a résulté que les propriétés physiques sont presque stationnaires, les variations insignifiants ayant dues au temps de transfert et au mélange de leau dans la galerie, aux variations saisonnières de la température ainsi quaux erreurs inévitables associées à une surveillance à long terme. Cet étude a montré aussi que la qualité de leau na pas été influencée par la période de neuf ans de sécheresse. Le résidu à sec de leau présente des variations assez faibles et leau appartient à la catégorie de Calcium-Bicarbonate. Tout de même les valeurs moyennes des concentrations en nitrates (14.5 mg/L) et en phosphates (0.105 mg/L) mettent en évidence limpact de lutilisation excessive des engrains dans les zones de captage de qanat de Shahrood. Les valeurs élevées de la concentrations en Ca et Mg, du pH et le fait que la dureté dépasse les limites recommandées mettent en évidence linfluence des carbonates de la matrice sur la composition des eaux souterraines. Cet étude montre aussi quil est nécessaire une surveillance systématique affin didentifier les données erronées, doptimiser le programme de monitoring et destimer les changements potentielles de la qualité de leau.

Pedodiversity and pedogenesis in Zayandeh-rud Valley, Central Iran   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
A geomorphic hierarchical downscaling method was used to decompose the forms and processes forming the landscapes and their subdivisions in the main region of Zayandeh-rud Valley. The purpose of this study was to determine the degree of soil heterogeneity and to check if K-entropy would be a good measure of soil evolution. Soil diversity analyses were performed considering soil families as individuals of soil entities in each geomorphic or taxonomic category level. Pedodiversity indices were used to follow the trend of soil and landscape evolution. The relationships between K-entropy (Shannon diversity index) and pedo-richness versus increasing area were analyzed to find out the effects of soil–landscape evolution on complexity of soil patterns in different geomorphic surfaces. Entropy–age relationship was studied to check the pedogenetic pathways responsible for soil landscape evolution. The soil diversity increases as geomorphic and taxonomic hierarchy levels decrease. The diversity indices were high when the sequence of soil horizons in a homogeneous family was also investigated. An increase in K-entropy of soil and landscape during time confirms the hypothesis of soil divergence evolution, whereby differences in initial conditions or local perturbations, and dynamic instability appear to have produced more variable soils and landscapes in the study area.  相似文献

Platinum group elements (PGE) enrichment occurs in Zn–Cu and Ni-rich ophiolities in a number of geological settings. Platinum group elements (PGE) mineralization in Pyroxenite from the Faryab ophiolities of Zagros belt in south Iran was studied. The ophiolite rocks represent blocks of Tethyan oceanic crust that were emplaced on the continental margin during the late Cretaceous period. Much of lower ophiolitic section is composed of homogeneous harzburgite, while upper sections harzburgite interlayer with dunite and pyroxenite are included. This study focused on pyroxenite that includes most of sulfide mineralization in Faryab. More than 500 samples were investigated from polished thin sections; that cover all area of Faryab. The sulfide phases include pyrrhotite, pentlandite, millerite, violarite, smythite, and heazlewoodite. The results show that in almost all the samples Os is below the 2 ppb detection limit, Platinum values vary from <5 to 91 ppb and the light PGE (Ru, Rh, and Pd) relative to the heavy PGE (Os, Ir, and Pt) are more concentrated. Calculation showed that in pyroxenites Pd–Pt is occurring with orthopyroxenite and Rh–Os is occurring in clinopyroxenite. Ni/Pd ratios in Faryab vary between 7 and 356 and Pd/Ir ratio is 0.1–27. This indicates that in Faryab area partial melt of mantle occurred. Pd/Rh ratio in Faryab is 0.1–11, and Pd/Pt varies between 0.2 and 1.5. Pd/Ir ratio in Faryab decreases and shows that PGE in Faryab occurred.  相似文献

It is widely known and well emphasized that the cemented sand is one of economic and environmental topics in soil stabilization. In some instances, a blend of sand, cement and other materials such as fiber, glass, nano particle and zeolite can commercially be available and effectively used in soil stabilization especially in road construction. In regard to zeolite, its influence and effectiveness on the properties of cemented sands systems has not been completely explored. Hence, in this study, based on an experimental program, it has been tried to investigate the potential of a zeolite stabilizer known as additive material to improve the properties of cemented sands. A total number of 216 unconfined compression tests were carried out on cured samples in 7, 28 and 90 days. Results show unconfined compression strength and failure properties improvements of cement sand specimens when cement replaced by zeolite at optimum proportions of 30 % after 28 days due to pozzolanic reaction. The rate of strength improvement is approximately 20–78 and 20–60 % for 28 and 90 days curing times respectively. The efficiency of using zeolite has been enhanced by increasing the cement content and porosity of the compacted mixture. The replacement of cement by natural zeolite led to an increase of the pH after 14 days. Chemical oxygen demand (COD) tests demonstrate that the materials with the zeolite mixture reveal stronger adsorptive capacity of COD in compare to cemented mixture. Scanning electron microscope images show that adding zeolite in cemented sand changes the microstructure (filling large porosity and pozzolanic reaction) that results in increasing strength.  相似文献

Petrographical and geochemical studies of Silurian Niur sandstones, Derenjal Mountains, Central Iran, were carried out to infer their provenance and tectonic setting. Modal analysis data of 37 medium sand size and well-sorted samples revealed that most quartz is composed of monocrystalline grains with straight to slightly undulos extinction and about 3 % polycrystalline quartz has inclusions, such as rutile needles. The sandstones are classified as quartzarenite, sublitharenite, and subarkose types based on framework composition and geochemistry. Petrographic studies reveal that these sandstones contain quartz, feldspars, and fragments of sedimentary rocks. The detrital modes of these sandstones indicate that they were derived from recycled orogen and stable cratonic source. Major and trace element contents of them are generally depleted (except SiO2) relative to upper continental crust which is mainly due to the presence of quartz and absence of Al-bearing minerals. Modal composition (e.g., quartz, feldspar, and lithic fragments) and discrimination diagrams based on major elements, trace elements (Ti, La, Th, Sc, and Zr), and also such ratios as La/Sc, Th/Sc, La/Co, and Th/Co, in sandstones suggest a felsic igneous source rock and quartzose polycyclic sedimentary provenance in a passive continental margin setting. Furthermore, high Zr/Sc values in these sandstones are considered as a sign of recycling. We indicated paleo-weathering conditions by modal compositions, the CIA index and Al2O3?+?K2O?+?Na2O% vs. SiO2% bivariate for these sandstones. Based on these results, although recycling is important to increase the maturity of the Niur sandstones, humid climate conditions in the source area have played a decisive role.  相似文献
