The zonal structure of the distribution of filaments is considered. The mean latitudes of two filament bands are calculated in each solar hemisphere at the minima of the sunspot cycle in the period 1924–1986: middle latitude

. It is shown that the mean latitude of the filament band

at the minimum -m of the cycle correlates, with = 0.94, with the maximum - M sunspot area S(M) and maximum Wolf number W(M) in the succeeding solar cycle M. It is shown that the mean latitude of the low-latitude filament band

is linearly dependent on the mean latitude filament band
2, m + 1 at the succeeding minimum. We found a correlation of the latitude of the low-latitude filament band

with the maximum sunspot area in the M + 1 cycle. This enables us to predict the power of two succeeding 11-year solar cycles on the basis of the latitude of filament bands at the minimum of activity, 1985–1986: W(22) - 205 ± 10, W(23) - 210 ± 10. Some consequences of a nonlinear coupling between magnetic field and rotation are studied within a solar type 2D dynamo model for a spherical convective shell. The magnetic feedback on the rotation law produces two main effects. First, the torsional oscillations are excited. Second, a long-term amplitude modulation of the dynamo cycles is produced. The latter may be identified with the grand cycle of solar activity. The dynamo model seems to be in accord with the phase relations between the torsional and magnetic activity oscillations observed in the 11-year cycle as well as in the 55-year grand cycle. This paper is the first of a series considering the properties of distribution of nearby galaxies in the low density regions. Among 7596 galaxies with radial velocities V LG < 3500 km/s, absolute magnitudes M K < ?18?4, and Galactic latitudes |b| > 15° there are 3168 field galaxies (i.e. 42%) that do not belong to pairs, groups or clusters in the Local universe. Applying to this sample the percolation method with a radius of r 0 = 2.8Mpc, we found 226 diffuse agglomerates with n ?? 4 number of members. The structures of eight most populated objects among them (n ?? 25) are discussed. These non-virialized agglomerates are characterized by amedian dispersion of radial velocities of about 170 km/s, the linear size of around 6 Mpc, integral K-band luminosity of 3 × 1011 L ??, and a formal virial-mass-to-luminosity ratio of about 700M ??/L ??. The mean density contrast for the considered agglomerates is only $\left\langle {\Delta n/\bar n} \right\rangle $ ?? 5, and their crossing time is about 30?C40 Gyr. 相似文献

The mean latitude of prominence samples referring to one boundary of the polarity division line of the large-scale magnetic field is calculated on the basis of H charts in the period 1955–1982. It is shown that the magnetic field in that period had a latitude zonal structure. The boundaries of the latitude zones of the magnetic field had no regular equatorwards migration. Although diffusion is usually associated with equalizing of the chemical composition, the pressure and temperature gradients inside the Sun cause elemental diffusion segregation. While light hydrogen is flowing up to the solar envelope, helium and heavier elements are settling down to the core. The target of our simulation is an accurate estimation of the settling rate in solar plasma during the course of solar evolution. The rate of helium depletion in the envelope is a key parameter of the solar evolution and depends on position and conditions around the base of the convective mixing zone. The rate of heavy element settling is sensitive to the degree of ionization and interaction with the radiation flux. We estimate the effect of ion ionization on the settling rate for several heavy elements up to iron in the framework of the LTE assumption and the thermodynamic calculation according to SAHA-S EOS. 相似文献

This contribution deals with the properties of small-scale magnetic elements at the polar caps of the Sun. Spectro-polarimetric observations, obtained with high spatial resolution with the Gregory Coudé Telescope at the Observatorio del Teide on Tenerife, were analysed. We find, though with limited data sets, that polar faculae differ in two aspects from faculae of the network in non-active regions near the equator (equatorial faculae): (1) Polar faculae appear to have the same magnetic polarity as the general polar magnetic field. Presumably, the latter is rooted in the small-scale faculae. The equatorial faculae show both magnetic polarities. (2) Polar faculae, with a size of 3.5 ± 1.3, are larger than equatorial faculae with 2.1 ± 0.4. Yet as for equatorial faculae, polar faculae possess kilogauss magnetic fields. 相似文献

In the present work we consider the questions of star formation and evolution of nearby dwarf galaxies. We describe the method of star formation history determination based on multicolor photometry of resolved stars and models of color-magnitude diagrams of the galaxies. We present the results of star formation rate determination and its dependence on age and metallicity for dwarf irregular and dwarf spheroidal galaxies in the two nearby galaxy groups M81 and Cen A. Similar age of the last episode of star formation in the central part of the M81 group and also unusually high level of metal enrichment in the several galaxies of the Cen A group are mentioned. Ring-like filaments have been detected on the spectroheliograms in the H-alpha line. Inside these filaments the magnetic field
flux has a predominant polarity. Some of the dark filaments are connected by filament channels which can be seen at the limb
either as (a) weak prominences or (b) dense low chromospheric features or (c) multi-channel system of matter flow between
two prominences or (d) common quiescent prominences. The filament and the filament channel together form a continuous closed
contour and outline the region of thef polarity particularly at the beginning of the solar cycle. The change in sign of the polar field of the Sun is associated
