Improvement in the osmoregulation capacity via nutritional supplies is vitally important in shrimp aquaculture.The effects of dietary protein levels on the osmoregulation capacity of the Pacific white shrimp(L.vannamei) were investigated.This involved an examination of growth performance,glutamate dehydrogenase(GDH) and Na+-K+ ATPase mRNA expression,,and GDH activity in muscles and gills.Three experimental diets were formulated,containing 25%,40%,and 50% dietary protein,and fed to the shrimp at a salinity of 25.After 20 days,no significant difference was observed in weight gain,though GDH and Na+-K+ ATPase gene expression and GDH activity increased with higher dietary protein levels.Subsequently,shrimp fed diets with 25% and 50% dietary protein were transferred into tanks with salinities of 38 and 5,respectively,and sampled at weeks 1 and 2.Shrimp fed with 40% protein at 25 in salinity(optimal conditions) were used as a control.Regardless of the salinities,shrimp fed with 50% dietary protein had significantly higher growth performance than other diets;no significant differences were found in comparison with the control.Shrimp fed with 25% dietary protein and maintained at salinities of 38 and 5 had significantly lower weight gain values after 2 weeks.Ambient salinity change also stimulated the hepatosomatic index,which increased in the first week and then recovered to a relatively normal level,as in the control,after 2 weeks.These findings indicate that in white shrimp,the specific protein nutrient and energy demands related to ambient salinity change are associated with protein metabolism.Increased dietary protein level could improve the osmoregulation capacity of L.vannamei with more energy resources allocated to GDH activity and expression.  相似文献

Based on a combined geometrical and mineralogical analysis, a three-stage model of formation of the mineralized veins of the giant Imiter silver deposit (Anti-Atlas, Morocco) is herein proposed. A first episode is characterized by the development of quartz, pink dolomite and Ag-rich minerals veins formed during a dextral transpressive event. The second episode is associated with a normal left-lateral motion that re-opens previous structures, filled by pink dolomite gangue. Alteration stages contribute to a local Ag enrichment. Magnetotactic bacteria are a diverse group of motile prokaryotes that are ubiquitous in aquatic habitats and cosmopolitan in distribution. In this study, we collected magnetotactic bacteria from the Mediterranean Sea. A remarkable diversity of morphotypes was observed, including multicellular types that seemed to differ from those previously found in North and South America. Another interesting organism was one with magnetosomes arranged in a six-stranded bundle which occupied one third of the cell width. The magnetosome bundle was evident even under optic microscopy. These cells were connected together and swam as a linear entire unit. Magnetosomes did not always align up to form a straight linear chain. A chain composed of rectangle magnetosomes bent at a posi- tion with an oval crystal. High resolution transmission electron microscopy analysis of the crystal at the pivotal position suggested uncompleted formation of the crystal. This is the first report of Mediterranean magnetotactic bacteria, which should be useful for studies of biogeochemical cycling and geohistory of the Mediterranean Sea.  相似文献

The mineralogy of natural ferromanganese coatings on quartz grains and the crystal chemistry of associated trace elements Ni, Zn, Ba, and As were characterized by X-ray microfluorescence, X-ray diffraction, and EXAFS spectroscopy. Fe is speciated as ferrihydrite and Mn as vernadite. The two oxides form alternating Fe- and Mn-rich layers that are irregularly distributed and not always continuous. Unlike naturally abundant Fe-vernadite, in which Fe and Mn are mixed at the nanoscale, the ferrihydrite and vernadite are physically segregated and the trace elements clearly partitioned at the microscopic scale. Vernadite consists of two populations of interstratified one-water layer (7 Å phyllomanganate) and two-water layer (10 Å phyllomanganate) crystallites. In one population, 7 Å layers dominate, and in the other 10 Å layers dominate. The three trace metals Ni, Zn, and Ba are associated with vernadite and the metalloid As with ferrihydrite. In vernadite, nickel is both substituted isomorphically for Mn in the manganese layer and sorbed at vacant Mn layer sites in the interlayer. The partitioning of Ni is pH-dependent, with a strong preference for the first site at circumneutral pH and for the second at acidic pH. Thus, the site occupancy of Ni in vernadite may be an indicator of marine vs. continental origin, and in the latter, of the acidity of streams, lakes, or soil pore waters in which the vernadite formed. Zinc is sorbed only in the interlayer at vacant Mn layer sites. It is fully tetrahedral at a Zn/Mn molar ratio of 0.0138, and partly octahedral at a Zn/Mn ratio of 0.1036 consistent with experimental studies showing that the VIZn/IVZn ratio increases with Zn loading. Barium is sorbed in a slightly offset position above empty tetrahedral cavities in the interlayer. Arsenic tetrahedra are retained at the ferrihydrite surface by a bidentate-binuclear attachment to two adjacent iron octahedra, as commonly observed. Trace elements in ferromanganese precipitates are partitioned at a few, well-defined, crystallographic sites that have some elemental specificity, and thus selectivity. The relative diversity of sorption sites contrasts with the simplicity of the layer structure of vernadite, in which charge deficit arises only from Mn4+ vacancies (i.e., no Mn3+ for Mn4+ substitution). Therefore, sorption mechanisms primarily depend on physical and chemical properties of the sorbate and competition with other ions in solution, such as protons at low pH for Ni sorption.  相似文献

Abstract

We compared the disintegration processes and mineralogic and chemical evolution pathways of two Quaternary basalts at Bakrit and Ifrane, weathered in the same physiographic and hydrologic conditions, but differing in texture according to the quantity of glass present. At Bakrit, quite abundant glass favoured the formation of a microfissure network throughout the rock and its disintegration without any distinct weathering front. As a result, basaltic sand with polymineral grains and a clayey-silty matrix were produced. At Ifrane, weathering of a glass-poor basalt produced only a clayey-silty saprolite. In glass-rich basalts, secondary minerals formed in microfissures and were 2/1 clay-mineral rich. In glass-poor basalts, secondary minerals formed mainly within primary minerals and were 1/1 clay-mineral rich. Because glass could be easily dissolved, it protected the minerals of close chemical composition, especially the plagioclases. The order of basalt-mineral weathering (olivine, labrador, augite, Fe-Ti oxides) was modified when glass was abundant (glass, olivine, augite, labrador, Fe-Ti oxides). © Elsevier, Paris  相似文献

When nickeliferous peridot is submitted to a serpentinisation reaction with formation of brucite, the peridotic nickel is partitioned between the two minerals (serpentine and brucite) with a distribution coefficient K=[(Ni/Mg) brucite]/[(Ni/Mg)] serpentine=1,63 (at 350°C and 1 kbar), in favour of brucite.  相似文献
