Differences between true mean daily, monthly and annual air temperatures T0 [Eq. (1)] and temperatures calculated with three different equations [(2), (3) and (4)] (commonly used in climatological practice) were investigated at three main meteorological Croatian stations from 1 January 1999 to 31 December 2011. The stations are situated in the following three climatically distinct areas: (1) Zagreb-Gri? (mild continental climate), (2) Zavi?an (cold mountain climate), and (3) Dubrovnik (hot Mediterranean climate). T1 [Eq. (2)] and T3 [Eq. (4)] mean temperatures are defined by the algorithms based on the weighted means of temperatures measured at irregularly spaced, yet fixed hours. T2 [Eq. (3)] is the mean temperature defined as the average of daily maximum and minimum temperature. The equation as well as the time of observations used introduces a bias into mean temperatures. The largest differences occur for mean daily temperatures. The calculated daily difference value from all three equations and all analysed stations varies from ?3.73 °C to +3.56 °C, from ?1.39 °C to +0.79 °C for monthly differences and from ?0.76 °C to +0.30 °C for annual differences.  相似文献

This paper describes late Cambrian dikes and Early Ordovician volcano-sedimentary successions of the Prague Basin, Bohemian Massif, to discuss the timing and kinematics of breakup of the northern margin of Gondwana. Andesitic dikes indicate minor E–W crustal extension in the late Cambrian, whereas the Tremadocian to Dapingian lithofacies distribution and linear array of depocenters suggest opening of this Rheic Ocean rift-related basin during NW–SE pure shear-dominated extension. This kinematic change was associated with the onset of basic submarine volcanism, presumably resulting from decompression mantle melting as the amount of extension increased. We conclude from these inferences and from a comparison with other Avalonian–Cadomian terranes that the rifting along the northern Gondwana margin was a two-stage process involving one major pulse of terrane detachment in the early Cambrian and one in the Early Ordovician. While the geodynamic cause for the former phase remains unclear, but still may include effects of Cadomian subduction (roll-back, slab break-off), isostatic rebound, or mantle plume, the incipient stage of the latter phase may have been triggered by the onset of subduction of the Iapetus Ocean at around 510 Ma, followed by advanced extension broadly coeval (Tremadocian to Darriwilian) in large portions of the Avalonian–Cadomian belt. Unequal amounts of extension resulted in the separation and drift of some terranes, while other portions of the belt remained adjacent to Gondwana.  相似文献

Our theory of a resonator for slow magneto-atmospheric waves in the chromosphere of a sunspot umbra has been used to check different models of the structure of the chromosphere and transition region. Oscillations of velocity and intensity in Civ, Siiv, and Oiv lines observed by Gurman et al. (1982) on the SMM spacecraft have been compared with the calculated oscillations. The observed spectrum of resonant peaks could well be explained by a gradient model of the umbral chromosphere. Different assumptions concerning the structure of the transition region do not influence the calculated resonance periods, but the amplitudes and phases of oscillations are modified. There is strong evidence for a concentration of the observed oscillations in cold fine structure elements of the transition region, even if the filling factor of such elements is very small (some few percent). Isothermal rather than adiabatic oscillations in the cold elements should be assumed in order to explain the observed fluctuations of line intensity; the relative amplitudes of pressure oscillations in the hot main component with a steep gradient of temperature are too small to explain the observed intensity fluctuations.  相似文献

An investigation of the thermal waters in the Ústí nad Labem area in the northeastern part of the Eger Rift has been carried out, with the principal objective of determining their origin. Waters from geothermal reservoirs in the aquifers of the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin (BCB) from depths of 240 to 616 m are exploited here. For comparison, thermal waters of the adjacent Teplice Spa area were also incorporated into the study. Results based on water chemistry and isotopes indicate mixing of groundwater from aquifers of the BCB with groundwater derived from underlying crystalline rocks of the Erzgebirge Mts. Unlike thermal waters in Dě?ín, which are of Ca–HCO3 type, there are two types of thermal waters in Ústí nad Labem, Na–HCO3–Cl–SO4 type with high TDS values and Na–Ca–HCO3–SO4 type with low TDS values. Carbon isotope data, speciation calculations, and inverse geochemical modeling suggest a significant input of endogenous CO2 at Ústí nad Labem in the case of high TDS groundwaters. Besides CO2 input, both silicate dissolution and cation exchange coupled with dissolution of carbonates may explain the origin of high TDS thermal waters equally well. This is a consequence of similar δ13C and 14C values in endogenous CO2 and carbonates (both sources have 14C of 0 pmc, endogenous CO2 δ13C around −3‰, carbonates in the range from −5‰ to +3‰ V-PDB). The source of Cl seems to be relict brine formed in Tertiary lakes, which infiltrated into the deep rift zone and is being flushed out. The difference between high and low TDS groundwaters in Ústí nad Labem is caused by location of the high mineralization groundwater wells in CO2 emanation centers linked to channel-like conduits. This results in high dissolution rates of minerals and in different δ13C(DIC) and 14C(DIC) fingerprints. A combined δ34S and δ18O study of dissolved SO4 indicates multiple SO4 sources, involving SO4 from relict brines and oxidation of H2S. The study clearly demonstrates potential problems encountered at sites with multiple sources of C, where several evolutionary groundwater scenarios are possible.  相似文献

The applicability and accuracy of the Gaussian beam method depend on the proper choice of the shape of beams. Gaussian beams become inaccurate solutions of the elastodynamic equation if the velocity field changes considerably within the beam width. We present a procedure of determining the optimum initial shape of Gaussian beams based on minimizing the average squared widths of Gaussian beams and smoothing the distribution of the optimum parameters of Gaussian beams on the Hamiltonian hypersurface in the phase-space. The original method of smoothing represents an essential part of the algorithm, which is designed particularly for the optimization of the shape of Gaussian beams for Gaussian beam or packet migrations.  相似文献

The decomposition of the wave field into optimized Gaussian packets represents a crucial step of the Gaussian packet prestack depth migration algorithm. The shape of optimized Gaussian packets, in the plane perpendicular to the central ray of the packet, depends not only on the frequency, but also on the coordinate of the intersection of the central ray of a Gaussian packet with the profile, on its arrival time, and on the component of the slowness vector along the profile. We express the amplitude of a Gaussian packet in the form of an integral transform similar to the forward coherentstate transform. Our method is suitable for a smooth distribution of the parameter determining the shape of a packet in the plane perpendicular to its central ray.  相似文献

The assessment of seismic hazard at five selected sites in the Sannio-Matese region is based on the computer program SRAMSC. Owing to the extensive historical data base for the output parameter, the MSK intensiy is chosen. The seismicity model is made up of five narrow area seismic sources. Circular or elliptical macroseismic fields are assigned to individual sources. A generalized Kövesligethy equation is used for this purpose as the attenuation relationship. The study reveals similar and a rather high hazard at the sites at Benevento, Boiano, and Melfi, which are located in the zone of highest seismic activity. At the Pomigliano and Lucera sites, the assessed hazard is much lower.  相似文献

In the Turonian and Maastrichtian, the “Diabase-chert Formation” and the “Volcanogenic flysch” were formed as two specific rock series, due to the synchronous basic volcanism of the Drenica area in Kosovo (Yugoslavia). Comparison with other localities of the Inner Dinarides has proved that, regardless of their different stratigraphic position, each of these two formations exhibits in individual localities great lithological and structural similarities. Both formations are associated with large tectonic zones with ophiolitic occurrences which extend from the Alps through the Yugoslav Inner Dinarides, northern and northeastern Greece, part of Turkey (Asia Minor) and further southeast.The Diabase-chert Formation is a lateral facies of Turnonian limestone. It is represented by a characteristic regime of a specific geochemical character, brought about by synchronous basic volcanism, and by the introduction of volcanogenic components — these factors are responsible for great lithological diversity and very rapid lateral and vertical changes. A certain consistency in the lithological composition is only noticable in the closing horizons of this formation at its transition into limestone sediments.The volcanogenic flysch was formed as a result of subvolcanic activity synchronous with flysch sedimentation whereby semi-consolidated flysch sediments acquired certain volcanogenic-sedimentary characteristics. The most intensively disturbed parts around submarine flows of diabase have been recognized as the “zone of highly disturbed flysch”. The zone is conformably overlain by the stratified cherty-clayey zone. This continues into the “zone of ball sandstone”, and ends with the “zone of normal flysch”. Their newly acquired characteristics resulting from synchronous basic volcanism distinguish them clearly from normal flysch and make them a special type of flysch — the volcanogenic flysch.  相似文献

Rietveld refinement of X-ray synchrotron data was performed for two synthetic tetrahedrite samples, with 0.61 and 1.83 Fe atoms, and two synthetic tennantite samples with 0.10 and 1.23 Fe atoms p.f.u. M12(Sb,As)4S13. Measurements were performed at 25 and 250°C. For both the phases, increased Fe substitution is reflected in the increased tetrahedral ‘Cu1’–S distance (‘Cu1’ is a site of Fe substitution) and Cu2–S distances. Cu2 was refined as a split position; the Cu2–Cu2 split about the plane of the S12S2 triangle is about 0.56 and 0.65 Å for tetrahedrite and tennantite, respectively. Cu2–Cu2 distances in the structure cavity are 2.8–2.9 Å. Between 25 and 250°C, the lattice parameter a increased by 0.02–0.04 Å and the interatomic distances by 0.01 Å on an average. Thermal expansion coefficients of little-substituted samples are similar to those of unsubstituted samples, whereas thermal expansion appears to decrease with increasing substitution by Fe. The Cu2–Cu2 split increases at 250°C by about 0.1 Å for tetrahedrite and by more than 0.15 Å for tennantite but the cage expansion is minimal so that the Cu2–Cu2 distances in the cavity decrease with temperature. Difference Fourier maps indicate that there is little residual electron density left between the two Cu2 half-sites in tetrahedrite but this inter-site density is substantially higher in tennantite. It increases with temperature, especially in the little-substituted tennantite sample.  相似文献
