Radio observational results at 232 MHz and multifrequency studies of supernova remnant (SNR) HB21 are presented. Its integrated
flux density at 232 MHz is about 390 ± 30 Jy. Both the integrated spectral index and the spatial variations of spectral index
of the remnant were calculated by combining the new map at 232 MHz with previously published maps made at 408, 1420, 2695,
and 4750 MHz. The SNR has an integrated spectral index of about α = -0.43(S
ν ∝ να) between 232 and 4750 MHz. In general the spectral index varies from –0.5 in southeast and west regions of the remnant to
–0.3 in the central region and near the northwest edge. The new data of 232 MHz reveals that there is interaction between
the remnant and the surrounding gas along the east edge of the remnant which causes the spectrum flattening at low frequency,
while the very good agreement between the structure of X-ray emission and the central flat spectrum area suggests that the
existence of thermal emission is the reason of spectrum flattening in the area.

Orbital period changes of four neglected short-period semidetached Algols, SX Dra, AV Del, CU Peg and DK Peg, are presented
based on the analysis of their O–C observations. It is found that the three systems, AV Del, CU Peg and DK Peg, show rapid
period increase at rates of dP/dt =+3.15 × 10-6, +2.00 × 10-6 and +4.88 × 10-7days/year respectively. For the other system, SX Dra, a possible periodic variation in the orbital period is discovered to
superimpose on a very rapid period increase (dP/dt = +1.09 × 10-5 days/year). The period increases of the four Algols can be explained by a mass transfer from the secondary to the more massive
primary, which is in agreement with the semi-detached configurations of these systems. However, since the period increases
are rather rapid, the mass transfer should be on a dynamical time scale. The cyclic period change in SX Dra suggests that
there may exist a third body in this system.

A photoelectric light curve of BL And is presented along with the first CCD light curve of GW Tau. Both objects are short-period eclipsing binaries and were observed in 2003 or 2004. Photometric elements were computed using the latest version of the Wilson–Van Hamme code. The results reveal that BL And is a semidetached system with the primary component filling its Roche lobe and the secondary one almost filling but still detached, while GW Tau is a marginal-contact binary system with a small degree of contact ( f = 10.9 per cent) and a large temperature difference of about 3100 K. All available eclipse times, including new ones, were analysed for each system. It was found that the orbital period of BL And is decreasing at the rate of d P /d t =−2.36 × 10−8 (±0.09) d yr−1 while that of GW Tau may be decreasing or oscillating. We think period decrease is more probable. The derived configuration and secular period decrease for BL And combined with the asymmetry of the light curve indicate that this system may evolve from the present semidetached phase into a contact stage, with mass transfer from the primary component to the secondary one through the L 1 point, or that it might just undergo the broken stage predicted by the theory of thermal relaxation oscillations. In contrast, GW Tau is a marginal-contact binary in poor thermal contact and may be at the beginning of the contact phase. 相似文献

轮轨式天线的轨道作为承载整个天线重量的基础,其精度直接影响天线在方位方向运转的平稳性,引起天线轴系偏差从而影响天线的指向精度。介绍改造后的乌鲁木齐南山26 m射电望远镜(Nanshan Radio Telescope, NSRT)轨道结构以及轨道高差测量,并建立天线在不同方位、俯仰角下轨道高差引起天线指向偏差的数学模型。利用"十字扫描"法实测多颗标准源在相应位置的指向数据,并通过高斯拟合得到指向偏差。通过分析可知,轨道高差引起的指向偏差经过修正可以提高天线的指向精度。 相似文献
