In recent years, the petroleum industry has devoted considerable attention to studying fluid flow inside fracture channels due to the discovery of naturally fractured reservoirs. The behavior prediction of these reservoirs is a well-known challenging task, in which the initial stage consists of identifying reservoir hydromechanical parameters. This work proposes an artificial intelligence-based approach to identify hydromechanical parameters from borehole injection pressure curves acquired through minifrac tests. This approach combines proxy modeling with a stochastic optimization algorithm to match observed and predicted borehole pressure curves. Therefore, a gradient boosting-based proxy model is built to predict borehole pressure curves, considering a proper strategy to develop time series modeling. Moreover, a Bayesian optimization algorithm is applied to compute the gradient boosting hyperparameters. In this optimization scenario, this paper proposes an appropriate objective function established from the assumed time series prediction strategy and the k-fold cross-validation. Finally, a genetic algorithm is adopted to identify unknown hydromechanical parameters, solving an inverse problem. Based on the proposed workflow, a study of the importance of the hydromechanical parameters is developed. To assess the methodology applicability, the approach is employed to identify parameters in synthetic and field minifrac tests. The application of nautical X-Band radars to measure internal wave (IW) properties is investigated. A methodology based on the use of Radon transform (RT) techniques to detect internal wave related features from backscatter image sequences is introduced to compute properties such as direction of propagation, non-linear velocity (c0), distance between solitons (Lcc) and number of solitons per packet. The proposed methodology was applied to several events recorded by a ship-mounted X-Band radar system (WaMoS) during the NLIWI experiment in 2006. Results from the comparisons to simultaneous measurements taken at neighboring oceanographic moorings indicated that c0 can be estimated with a RMS error of 0.06 m s−1, which corresponds to a mean relative error of −1.4%. Similarly, Lcc can be estimated with a RMS error of 98 m, which is associated with a mean relative error of 14.6%. This latter error estimate however is likely to be overestimated, because it reflects strongly the separation between sampling stations as Lcc was shown to be highly dependent on propagation distance. The accuracy of the results shows that X-Band systems are well suited to measure internal wave properties offering some advantages over SAR and other in situ devices. 相似文献

In this work we consider the Kepler problem with linear drag, and prove the existence of a continuous vector-valued first integral, obtained taking the limit as \(t\rightarrow +\infty \) of the Runge–Lenz vector. The norm of this first integral can be interpreted as an asymptotic eccentricity \(e_{\infty }\) with \(0\le e_{\infty } \le 1\). The orbits satisfying \(e_{\infty } <1\) approach the singularity by an elliptic spiral and the corresponding solutions \(x(t)=r(t)e^{i\theta (t)}\) have a norm r(t) that goes to zero like a negative exponential and an argument \(\theta (t)\) that goes to infinity like a positive exponential. The application of the Poisson regression to the populations of the benthic foraminifer Ammonia tepida collected in three south‐western Spanish estuaries permits to obtain a quantitative approach between some environmental variables and the number of individuals of this species. Although the three general models are unsatisfactory to predict the observed abundance of this micro‐organism, a partial statistical analysis permits to detect quantitatively the impact of each variable. This analysis indicates an increasing abundance from the high‐salt marshes to the subtidal channels and higher densities in those samples subjected to very euryhaline conditions. Increasing sand percentages show negative effects on the A. tepida abundance, whereas the silt contents do not affect significantly to this species and increasing organic carbon percentages have a small positive effect on the A. tepida densities. 相似文献

Benthic indices are typically developed independently by habitat, making their incorporation into large geographic scale assessments potentially problematic because of scaling inequities. A potential solution is to establish common scaling using expert best professional judgment (BPJ). To test if experts from different geographies agree on condition assessment, sixteen experts from four regions in USA and Europe were provided species-abundance data for twelve sites per region. They ranked samples from best to worst condition and classified samples into four condition (quality) categories. Site rankings were highly correlated among experts, regardless of whether they were assessing samples from their home region. There was also good agreement on condition category, though agreement was better for samples at extremes of the disturbance gradient. The absence of regional bias suggests that expert judgment is a viable means for establishing a uniform scale to calibrate indices consistently across geographic regions. 相似文献

Moving objects produce trajectories, which are stored in databases by means of finite samples of time-stamped locations. When speed limitations in these sample points are also known, space–time prisms (also called beads) (Pfoser and Jensen 1999, Egenhofer 2003, Miller 2005) can be used to model the uncertainty about an object's location in between sample points. In this setting, a query of particular interest that has been studied in the literature of geographic information systems (GIS) is the alibi query. This boolean query asks whether two moving objects could have physically met. This adds up to deciding whether the chains of space–time prisms (also called necklaces of beads) of these objects intersect. This problem can be reduced to deciding whether two space–time prisms intersect. The alibi query can be seen as a constraint database query. In the constraint database model, spatial and spatiotemporal data are stored by boolean combinations of polynomial equalities and inequalities over the real numbers. The relational calculus augmented with polynomial constraints is the standard first-order query language for constraint databases and the alibi query can be expressed in it. The evaluation of the alibi query in the constraint database model relies on the elimination of a block of three exªistential quantifiers. Implementations of general purpose elimination algorithms, such as those provided by QEPCAD, Redlog, and Mathematica, are, for practical purposes, too slow in answering the alibi query for two specific space–time prisms. These software packages completely fail to answer the alibi query in the parametric case (i.e., when it is formulated in terms of parameters representing the sample points and speed constraints). The main contribution of this article is an analytical solution to the parametric alibi query, which can be used to answer the alibi query on two specific space–time prisms in constant time (a matter of milliseconds in our implementation). It solves the alibi query for chains of space–time prisms in time proportional to the sum of the lengths of the chains. To back this claim up, we implemented our method in Mathematica alongside the traditional quantifier elimination method. The solutions we propose are based on the geometric argumentation and they illustrate the fact that some practical problems require creative solutions, where at least in theory, existing systems could provide a solution. 相似文献

Ellerman bombs are bright emission features observed in the wings of Hα, usually in the vicinity of magnetic concentrations.
Here we show that they can also be detected in the Ca II infrared triplet lines, which are easier to interpret and therefore
allow for more detailed diagnostics. We present full Stokes observations of the 849.8 and 854.2 nm lines acquired with the
new spectro-polarimeter SPINOR. The data show no significant linear polarization at the level of 3 × 10−4. The circular polarization profiles exhibit measureable signals with a very intricate pattern of peaks. A non-LTE analysis
of the spectral profiles emerging from these features reveals the presence of strong downflows (∼10 {km s−1}) in a hot layer between the upper photosphere and the lower chromosphere.
