Small diameter tunnel excavation method using slurry pipe-jacking   总被引:3,自引:1,他引:3  
In order to protect the safety of workers construction, as well as for environmental and cost reasons, efficient small-diameter shallow tunneling methods have recently become increasingly important in regards to outside plant engineering such as for water supplies, electricity, telecommunications and gas. The effects of the above projects in overcrowded urban areas are significant and often result in substantial impact and traffic delays associated with a loss of travel time. Clearly the solution to these utility placement problems, if the full impact of trench excavation is to be avoided, is trench less technology. In particular, for construction work near existing facilities, underground tunnels that are excavated by slurry pipe-jacking are being increasingly employed in order to avoid problems. Slurry pipe-jacking was firmly established as a special method for the non-disruptive construction of the underground pipelines of sewage systems. Pipe-jacking, in its traditional form, has occasionally been used for short railways, roads, rivers, and other projects. Basically the system involves the pushing or thrusting of a drivage machine through concrete pipes ahead of jacks. This method utilizes mud slurry that is formed around the pipes in order to stabilize the surrounding soil. Moreover, in recent years, the rectangular shape of the concrete pipe in using slurry pipe-jacking was introduced due to the effective uses of the space. Based on his reason, the rectangular shape of the concrete pipe is often adopted in Japan. From this point of view, this paper discusses the effect shapes have on the stability of surrounding soil by means of the numerical analysis. Secondly, this paper discusses the performance of the mud slurry around the drivage pipes by means of the two-dimensional Eulerian-Lagragian seepage analysis. Moreover, in slurry pipe-jacking, the performance of the mud slurry plays an important role in the pushing process. Finally, the thrusts in slurry pipe-jacking can be predicted accurately by evaluating the resistance between the mud slurry and the concrete pipes and the resistance between the soil and the pipes in the curved jacking area. The problem of response of sliding structures subjected to harmonic support motions is considered. The periodic motions, consisting of the three different modes, stick-stick, stick-slip and slip-slip, are a significant part of the responses to harmonic excitations. Assuming the periodicity of the motion, the condition of the initiation of the slip-slip motion is derived. Then analytical expressions for the occurrence of the periodic motions are obtained without integrating the equations of motion. The accuracy of the analytical expressions is confirmed by comparison with numerical results herein obtained. It is observed that the numerical results are sensitive to the starting and ending times of slip motions.  相似文献

The orthorhombic MgSiO3 perovskite has been synthesized with the aid of a double-stage split-sphere-type high-pressure apparatus at about 280 kbar and 1000°C. The unit cell dimensions are: a = 4.7754(3)Å, b = 4.9292(4)Å and c = 6.8969(5)Å with the probable space group Pbnm. Calculated density is 4.108 g cm?3. Crystal structure determination has been carried out by means of both the geometrical simulation (DLS) technique and the ordinary powder X-ray analysis. The results indicate that the MgSiO3 perovskite is closer to the ideal perovskite than ScAlO3 perovskite.  相似文献

Summary An area of significant seismic quiescence is found near Oaxaca, southern Mexico. The anomalous area may be the site of a future large earthquake as many cases so far reported were. This conjecture is justified by study of past seismicity changes in the Oaxaca region. An interval of reduced seismicity, followed by a renewal of activity, preceded both the recent large events of 1965 and 1968. Those past earthquakes have ruptured the eastern and western portions of the present seismicity gap, respectively, so that the central part remaining is considered to be of the highest risk of the pending earthquake.The most probable estimates are: 7 1/2±1/4 for the magnitude and =16.5°±0.5°N, =96.5°±0.5W for the epicenter location. A firm prediction of the occurrence time is not attempted. Pressure-induced phase transformations in each of the rutile-structured difluorides (NiF2, MgF2, CoF2, ZnF2, FeF2 and MnF2) exhibit unique behavior; however, a general trend is found in the major structural changes: rutile phase → “distorted fluorite” phase → post-“distorted fluorite” phase with volume changes of about 5–10%. For a given phase transformation sequence found commonly in two or more difluorides, the phase transformation pressure is related inversely to the unit cell volume and thus inversely to the mean cation-anion bond length. The relationship in oxides (SnO2, TiO2 and GeO2) is much less systematic. It is therefore not possible to predict without uncertainty the post-stishovite phases in the lower mantle.Velocity-density systematics in the difluorides and oxides are governed, to a large extent, by cationic radius. The pressure dependence of shear elastic constant CS = (C11 ? C12)/2 is negative in all of the nine difluorides and oxides. However, the CS mode does not vanish at the initial phase transformation pressure; rather, the ratios of CSKS are 0.10 and 0.04 to 0.10 for transitions of rutile → orthorhombic and of rutile → “distorted fluorite”, respectively, and are in agreement with the approach of Demarest et al.  相似文献

High-pressure phase relations in ZnSiO3 and Zn2SiO4 were investigated at about 1000°C and in the pressure range of 100–500 kbar, using a double-staged split-sphere type of high-pressure apparatus.Clinopyroxene-type ZnSiO3 transforms directly into a polymorph with the ilmenite structure at 120 kbar. The hexagonal unit cell dimensions of the ZnSiO3 ilmenite are determined to be a = 4.746 ± 0.001 A?and c = 13.755 ± 0.002 A? under ambient conditions.The following reactions are also recognized at about 1000°C:

The stabilities of silicate ilmenites, especially the absence of ilmenite of transition metal silicate composition, is discussed. It is pointed out that data on phase relations in zinc silicates may be informative for the consideration on those in magnesium silicates under very high pressures. Broad-band power-law spectra of well-log data in Japan   总被引:3,自引:1,他引:3  
For the purpose of revealing the statistical characteristics of P -wave velocity, S -wave velocity and density in the uppermost part of the crust, we analysed well-log data obtained from five deep wells in different tectonic regions in Japan: three wells through the mainly sedimentary rocks in the Kanto plain and two wells in the Kuju volcano group in Kyushu Island. In the Kanto plain, the power spectral density of fractional fluctuation of P -wave velocity and that of density are proportional to a power of the spatial wavelength from a few metres to 100 m. where the power index (slope of the power spectral density at double logarithmic scale) is 1.1-1.3. At the Kuju volcano group, that of P - and S -wave velocity and density also obey a power law, with a power index of 1.3-1.6 for wavelengths from a few metres to few hundred metres. Correcting the effect of the moving box-car observation window which corresponds to the separation of two receivers of the logging tool, we find that the power-law characteristics hold for wavelengths down to a few tens of centimetres. The 1-D sections of the elastic inhomogeneities follow a kind of band-limited self-affine random process. Comparing the power spectral densities, we find smaller values of the power index in stable areas and larger values in tectonically active areas. The difference in the power index arises from long-wavelength components.  相似文献

The H emission is searched for 67 spectroscopic binaries of the spectral types B0–B9 and of the orbital period 1–1000 days. Among them the H emission is detected in 13 stars with various intensity. The results of this inspection are presented. When combined with the previous data, our results show that the Be-star frequency in spectroscopic binaries along the orbital periods exhibits a sharp maximum in the period range 100–300 days, and that the stars of strong H emission concentrate in the same period range.  相似文献

We built a classification tree(CT) model to estimate climatic factors controlling the cold temperate coniferous forest(CTCF) distributions in Yunnan province and to predict its potential habitats under the current and future climates, using seven climate change scenarios, projected over the years of 2070-2099. The accurate CT model on CTCFs showed that minimum temperature of coldest month(TMW) was the overwhelmingly potent factor among the six climate variables. The areas of TMW-4.05 were suitable habitats of CTCF, and the areas of -1.35 TMW were non-habitats, where temperate conifer and broad-leaved mixed forests(TCBLFs) were distribute in lower elevation, bordering on the CTCF. Dominant species of Abies, Picea, and Larix in the CTCFs, are more tolerant to winter coldness than Tsuga and broad-leaved trees including deciduous broad-leaved Acer and Betula, evergreen broadleaved Cyclobalanopsis and Lithocarpus in TCBLFs. Winter coldness may actually limit the cool-side distributions of TCBLFs in the areas between -1.35°C and -4.05°C, and the warm-side distributions of CTCFs may be controlled by competition to the species of TCBLFs. Under future climate scenarios, the vulnerable area, where current potential(suitable + marginal) habitats(80,749 km~2) shift to nonhabitats, was predicted to decrease to 55.91%(45,053 km~2) of the current area. Inferring from the current vegetation distribution pattern, TCBLFs will replace declining CTCFs. Vulnerable areas predicted by models are important in determining priority of ecosystem conservation.  相似文献
