Projections of the impacts of climate change on the water deficit and on the precipitation erosive indexes in Mantaro River Basin,Peru

Projections of climate change are essential to guide sustainable development plans in the tropical Andean countries such as Peru. This study assessed the projections of precipitation and potential evaporation, rain erosive potential, and precipitation concentration in the Mantaro River Basin, in the Peruvian Andes, which is important for agriculture and energy production in Peru. We assumed the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) A1B greenhouse gas emission scenario and simulated the global climate change by the HadCM3 global climate model. Due to the steepness of the mountain slopes and the narrowness of the river valley, this study uses the downscaling of the global model simulations by the regional Eta model down to 20-km resolution. The downscaling projections show decrease in the monthly precipitation with respect to the baseline period, especially during the rainy season, between February and April, until the end of the 21st century. Meanwhile, a progressive increase in the monthly evaporation from the baseline period is projected. The Modified Fournier Index (MFI) shows a statistically significant downward trend in the Mantaro River Basin, which suggests a possible reduction in the rain erosive potential. The Precipitation Concentration Index (PCI) shows a statistically significant increasing trend, which indicates increasingly more irregular temporal distribution of precipitation towards the end of the century. The results of this study allow us to conclude that there should be a gradual increase in water deficit and precipitation concentration. Both changes can be negative for agriculture, power generation, and water supply in the Mantaro River Basin in Peru.

试论中国城市化发展模式

结合城市化的新观念,提出了中国城市化发展新理论模式--中国城乡网络化发展模式.城乡网络化发展模式建立在区域综合协调发展基础之上,指的是在一定区域范围内城乡之间各种经济活动主体构成一个有序化的关联系统及其运行过程,并通过这个过程获得一种特有的网络组织功能效应.同时,还在此理论基础上针对我国东部、中部、西部地区各自的现实条件,分别对其实施城乡网络化发展进行了初步构想.     

Geochemistry of actinolitic hornblendes from tonalitic rocks,Northern Portugal

Chemical analyses are given for actinolitic hornblendes of tonalitic rocks from the Hercynian belt of Northern Portugal. The distribution of elements between amphibole and co-existing biotite is studied. The composition of the amphiboles is analysed in the light of experimental data on amphiboles and the physical conditions of crystallization inferred from the study of the biotite and rock series. The data on the biotites lead to the definition of a temperature of 800°C for the crystallization of actinolitic hornblendes with Mg/(Mg + Fe) ratios of 0·72-0·61 at pressures of about 3 Kb and fO₂ defined by FMQ.

The 2011 submarine volcanic eruption in El Hierro (Canary Islands)

Forty years after the Teneguía Volcano (La Palma, 1971), a submarine eruption took place off the town of La Restinga, south of El Hierro, the smallest and youngest island of the Canarian Archipelago. Precursors allowed an early detection of the event and its approximate location, suggesting it was submarine. Uncertainties derived from insufficient scientific information available to the authorities during the eruption, leading to disproportionate civil protection measures, which had an impact on the island's economy—based primarily on tourism—while residents experienced extra fear and distress.     

内蒙古自治区土壤有机碳库储量及分布特征

根据内蒙古自治区土壤资料中共461个土壤剖面数据估算表层及全剖面的土壤有机碳密度(SOCD)和储量(SOCR),绘制其SOCD的空间分布图,并对其影响因素进行了探讨。结果表明:内蒙古地区的表层SOCD为0.63～15.93 kg.m-2,平均为3.68 kg.m-2;全剖面SOCD为0.22～68.77 kg.m-2,平均为10.35 kg.m-2,不同土壤类型之间有一定差异。内蒙古表层SOCR为4.10 Pg,而全剖面储量为10.79 Pg。土壤有机碳含量及分布受气候、土壤性质和人为活动的影响明显。最后,根据年均温与土壤有机碳密度的相关关系,估算得出当气温升高1℃,内蒙古地区土壤有机碳的释放量为0.91 Pg。     

Fe2O3/凹凸棒石Fenton催化剂的制备及性能表征

采用浸渍法制备了用于常温常压下催化Fenton法的负载型Fe2O3/凹凸棒石催化剂,并将其用于处理十二烷基苯磺酸钠废水.采用BET,SEM,FT-IR对其进行了表征,并考察了Fe2O3/凹凸棒石催化剂的催化活性和稳定性.对于初始浓度为40 mg/L的十二烷基苯磺酸钠模拟废水,当Fe2O3/凹凸棒石催化剂和H2O2氧化剂的投加量分别为20 g/L和0.392 mol/L时,pH为5时,反应温度为80℃时,处理1h时染料的十二烷基苯磺酸钠的去除率可达到99.99％.与传统Fenton试剂法相比,以Fe2O3/凹凸棒石为催化剂的Fenton法,具有pH范围广(2～10),降解程度高和催化剂易回收再用的优点.
