Dislocations decorated by hematite and magnetite have been observed optically in the olivine grains of undeformed or highly annealed peridotite xenoliths from Hawaii and Baja California ( 5 × 105 cm–2). The observed structures include loops, low-angle boundaries, and structures produced by multiple cross-glide of [100] screws. Loops are almost invariably parallel to (001). Simple arrays of parallel dislocations lie predominantly in (100), (010) and (001) with dislocation lines subparallel to low-index directions. [100] screws pinned to (100) boundaries are frequently seen to bow out on (001). Preliminary electron petrography has confirmed that all dislocations are decorated.  相似文献

为了揭示人工林不同层次的生物量组成关系及其影响因素,选择岷江上游大沟流域的油松人工林,调查分析了林分不同层次生物量组成及其关系,探讨了乔木密度、坡向、海拔对生物量的影响。发现:1)两种林龄油松人工林生物量分配基本一致,即,乔木层>灌木层>草本层;乔木各构件生物量大小顺序为:枝>干>叶>根>果/皮。同时指出,枝叶对下木层生物量的影响显著。2)乔木密度显著控制了林分生物量及其组成,在本调查范围内坡向的影响似乎不明显;海拔对22 a油松影响显著,而24 a的不显著;综合分析表明,本区域内,22 a油松保持在3 800株/hm2左右和24 a在3 500株/hm2左右时,有助于林分生物量的稳定与提高,促进生态系统功能的恢复。  相似文献

对CYF-0.2型油水分离器进行了台架试验,并对其分离效果的影响因素进行了分析。结果表明:该油水分离器的分离效果为10mg/L以下,满足国家规定的排放标准(15mg/L);水的流速、温度、压力以及水中污油的种类等是影响油水分离器分离效果的主要因素。  相似文献

Jupiter’s moon—Ganymede—is the largest satellite in our solar system. Galileo spacecraft made six close flybys to explore Ganymede. More information was acquired about particle population, magnetic field and plasma waves during these encounters. In this paper, our aim is to study the generation of electrostatic electron cyclotron harmonic (ECH) emissions in the vicinity of Ganymede using the observed particle data. The calculated ECH wave’s growth rates are analyzed in the light of observations of plasma waves along the path of Galileo near Ganymede. Dispersion relation for electrostatic mode is solved to obtain the temporal growth rates. A new electron distribution function, fitted to distribution observed near Ganymede, is used in the calculations. A parametric study is performed to evaluate the effect of loss-cone angle and the ratio of plasma to gyro-frequency on growth rates. It is found that ECH waves growth rates generally decrease as the loss-cone angle is increased. However, the ratio plasma to gyro-frequency has almost no effect on the growth rates. These parameters vary considerably along the Galileo trajectory near Ganymede. This is the first study which relates the occurrence of ECH waves with the particle and magnetic field data in the vicinity of Ganymede. The study of ECH wave growth rate near Ganymede is important for the calculation of pitch angle scattering rates of low-energy electrons and their subsequent precipitation into the thin atmosphere of Ganymede producing ultraviolet emissions. Results of the present study may also be relevant for the upcoming JUNO and JUICE missions to Jupiter.  相似文献

We report here the detailed microstructure and chemistry of pyroxene exsolution from a polycrystalline garnet porphyroblast of the Western Gneiss Region (WGR) garnet peridotite, Otrøy, Norway. For both clinopyroxene (Cpx) and orthopyroxene (Opx), the same basic crystallographic relationship is found with the host garnet: (100)py//{112}grt, (010)px//{110}grt and (001)px//{111}grt for the majority (>90%) of its intracrystalline pyroxene rods. In addition, this pattern is also exhibited by some interstitial Opx and a subpopulation of both pyroxenes shows a different pattern or no discernible pattern. The results provide quantitative microstructural evidence demonstrating an exsolution (precipitation) origin of both the intracrystalline Cpx and Opx and the small interstitial Opx crystals. The reconstructed precursor majoritic garnet, taking into account both the intracrystalline pyroxenes and interstitial Opx, was characterized by Si = ~3.07 cation per formula unit that corresponds to a minimum pressure of 7.7 GPa (~250 km depth). We also deduce from the observation of Opx being the majority of intracrystalline precipitates and 100% of the interstitial ones that the precursor majoritic garnet probably originated from a pressure less than ~10 GPa (~300 km depth). A multistage decomposition hypothesis is proposed for this WGR majoritic garnet during exhumation of the peridotite from 250 to 300 km depth to explain the topotaxy and chemistry of the exsolved pyroxenes.  相似文献

We present a model which provides an interpretation of the observations relating to the object SS433. The model represents the logical development of the proposal of Collins and Newsom (1979) and consists of a binary system comprised of a massive early-type stellar primary, containing a substantial magnetic field and stellar wind, which is precessionally driven with a 165 day period by a much less massive secondary. The cool gas Doppler-shifted spectrum occurs behind a shock front propagating around the system in the remote regions of the stellar magnetic field. The constraints placed on any model by observation are set forth, and particular attention is given to how they are met by this model. Specifically, we show that the energetics and emission requirements are easily met while the observed radial velocity curve can be fit within the mostly stochastic variations displayed by the source. Finally we discuss the implications of the model for further observation and for the immediate past and future of the object.Supported in part by the National Science Foundation.  相似文献

A basic problem in hydrology is computing confidence levels for the value of the T-year flood when it is obtained from a Log Pearson III distribution in terms of estimated mean, estimated standard deviation, and estimated skew. In an important paper Chowdhury and Stedinger [1991] suggest a possible formula for approximate confidence levels, involving two functions previously used by Stedinger [1983] and a third function, λ, for which asymptotic estimates are given. This formula is tested [Chowdhury and Stedinger, 1991] by means of simulations, but these simulations assume a distribution for the sample skew which is not, for a single site, the distribution which the sample skew is forced to have by the basic hypothesis which underlies all of the analysis, namely that the maximum discharges have a Log Pearson III distribution. Here we test these approximate formulas for the case of data from a single site by means of simulations in which the sample skew has the distribution which arises when sampling from a Log Pearson III distribution. The formulas are found to be accurate for zero skew but increasingly inaccurate for larger common values of skew. Work in progress indicates that a better choice of λ can improve the accuracy of the formula.  相似文献

The Barite Hill gold deposit, at the southwestern end of the Carolina slate belt in the southeastern United States, is one of four gold deposits in the region that have a combined yield of 110 metric tons of gold over the past 10 years. At Barite Hill, production has dominantly come from oxidized ores. Sulfur isotope data from hypogene portions of the Barite Hill gold deposit vary systematically with pyrite–barite associations and provide insights into both the pre-metamorphic Late Proterozoic hydrothermal and the Paleozoic regional metamorphic histories of the deposit. The δ34S values of massive barite cluster tightly between 25.0 and 28.0‰, which closely match the published values for Late Proterozoic seawater and thus support a seafloor hydrothermal origin. The δ34S values of massive sulfide range from 1.0 to 5.3‰ and fall within the range of values observed for modern and ancient seafloor hydrothermal sulfide deposits. In contrast, δ34S values for finer-grained, intergrown pyrite (5.1–6.8‰) and barite (21.0–23.9‰) are higher and lower than their massive counterparts, respectively. Calculated sulfur isotope temperatures for the latter barite–pyrite pairs (Δ=15.9–17.1‰) range from 332–355 °C and probably reflect post-depositional equilibration at greenschist-facies regional metamorphic conditions. Thus, pyrite and barite occurring separately from one another provide pre-metamorphic information about the hydrothermal origin of the deposit, whereas pyrite and barite occurring together equilibrated to record the metamorphic conditions. Preliminary fluid inclusion data from sphalerite are consistent with a modified seawater source for the mineralizing fluids, but data from quartz and barite may reflect later metamorphic and (or) more recent meteoric water input. Lead isotope values from pyrites range for 206Pb/204Pb from 18.005–18.294, for 207Pb/204Pb from 15.567–15.645, and for 208Pb/204Pb from 37.555–38.015. The data indicate derivation of the ore leads from the country rocks, which themselves show evidence for contributions from relatively unradiogenic, mantle-like lead, and more evolved or crustal lead. Geological relationships, and stable and radiogenic isotopic data, suggest that the Barite Hill gold deposit formed on the Late Proterozoic seafloor through exhalative hydrothermal processes similar to those that were responsible for the massive sulfide deposits of the Kuroko district, Japan. On the basis of similarities with other gold-rich massive sulfide deposits and modern seafloor hydrothermal systems, the gold at Barite Hill was probably introduced as an integral part of the formation of the massive sulfide deposit.
