A numerical model is developed for estimation of local scour around a large circular cylinder under vvave action. The model includes wave diffraction around structures, bed shear stress calculation inside the vvave boundary layer and topo-graphical change model. The vvave model is based on the improved Boussinesq equations for varying depth. The vvave boundary layer is calculaled by solving the integrated momentum equation over the boundary layer. The bed shear stress due to streaming, an important factor affecting the sediment transport around a large-scale cylinder, is calculated. The Lagrangian drift velocity is included in calculation of the suspended sediment transport rates. The model is implemented by a finite element method and the results from the present model, which agree well with experimental data, are com-pared vvith those from other methods. 相似文献

Through hydraulic model experiment and site investigation, this paper has derived a calculation formula of dry-laid stone armour layer thickness of rubble mound breakwaters for fishery harbours. The influences of the friction force between stone blocks and the variations of wave length or period and water depth are considered in the formula. The calculated results of several existing structures are in good agreement with field data. This formula is more practical than those ever published both at home and abroad, and has been adoptted by the technical standards of aquatic projects published by the Ministry of Agriculture of China. The strength of lightweight concrete under triaxial compressive stress is studied experimentally with the concrete triaxial apparatus designed by the authors, and is compared with that of normal concrete under the same stress state. Ninety-five 100 mm cubes under twenty stress ratios are tested. As compared with normal concrete, it is found that not only the multiaxial compressive strength of lightweight concrete is small, but also the ratio of the multiaxial compressive strength to the uniaxial compressive strength is small. The influence of the intermediate principal stress on the multiaxial strength of lightweight concrete is discussed. Spectrum and self-excite characters are the two significant characters of the dynamics of sea ice. The spectrum character of sea ice is mainly shown by the spectrum of ice force. The spectrum character of the sea ice is its intrinsic attributes. When the spectrum of ice force from the dynamic response of ice and structure interaction are evaluated, the effect of dynamic character of the structure must be eliminated. In this paper, the ice force spectrum at Bohai Bay and Liaodong Bay is evaluated from the displacement and strain responses of a single degree and a multi-degree freedom structure. - In this paper, the authors use the finite element method to conduct a special static analysis for the loadout procedure of offshore structures. By introducing a variable Xmove (the distance between the relative coordinate system fixed in the moving upper structure and the absolute coordinate system fixed on slideway), adopting substructure to treat the upper structure, and using the elastic foundation beam to model the slideway, the model for the analysis of the loadoul procedure is established.
