THE BASE OF THE PALAEOZOIC IN SHANSI.METAMORPHISM AND CYCLES.

I had recently an opportunity for observing, along the western border of the northern Hoshan (Central Shansi), at the base of the Palaeozoic, a particularly clear section, in which several interesting features seem to be worth mentioning. This section, illustrated in the text-figure 1, was taken at the entrance
