Hydrogeological conditions and quality of ground waters in northern Banat,Pannonian basin 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Geological relationships, hydrogeology and chemical composition of ground water in northern Banat were studied through the
period 2000–2004 using the available background data from published and unpublished sources. Northern Banat is the extreme
northeastern part of the Republic of Serbia and a geotectonic part of the vast Pannonian depression. The source of domestic
and industrial water supply is only groundwater from artesian and subartesian aquifers of Lower Pleistocene (Q11) and Upper Pleistocene (Pl32) sand deposits. The ground water, “peculiar” in chemical composition, is the only source of drinking water in the arid area.
A notable variation in the chemical composition of artesian waters within the same geotectonic unit (Pannonian basin), abstracted
for municipal water supplies of Kikinda, Novi Knezevac and Djala, has attracted attention of these authors. Our paper attempts
to interpret the variation in the chemical composition of ground water and the cause of the variation by the interaction of
ground water and rocks forming the aquifers on the case example of the water supply sources for the three mentioned towns.
With respect to the depth and lithology of the aquifers, we interpret the varied chemical compositions of waters in the mentioned
sources as a consequence of natural factors (geological environment), geological relationships and hydrogeological conditions. 相似文献

The fully automated objective-based method for master recession curve (MRC) separation was developed by using Microsoft Excel spreadsheet and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) code. The core of the program code is used to construct an MRC by using the adapted matching strip method (Posavec et al. 2006). Criteria for separating the MRC into two or three segments are determined from the flow-duration curve and are represented as the probable range of percent of flow rate duration. Successive separations are performed automatically on two and three MRCs using sets of percent of flow rate duration from selected ranges and an optimal separation model scenario, having the highest average coefficient of determination R2, is selected as the most appropriate one. The resulting separated master recession curves are presented graphically, whereas the statistics are presented numerically, all in separate sheets. Examples of field data obtained from two springs in Istria, Croatia, are used to illustrate its application. The freely available Excel spreadsheet and VBA program ensures the ease of use and applicability for larger data sets. 相似文献

After discovering that asteroid (2953) Vysheslavia, a Koronis family member, has a typical dynamical lifetime of the order of 10 Myr only against “falling” into the 5:2 Kirkwood gap and ending up in a hyperbolic orbit (Milani and Farinella, 1995. Icarus 114, 209–212), we decided to repeat the same study for two other asteroids, 1991 UA2 and 1993 FR58, lying also very close to the outer edge of the same resonance. The orbital elements of these bodies were not yet accurate enough and we appealed to observers, both professional and amateur, to obtain more astrometric data. Eight groups in three different countries carried out observations, and as a result the Minor Planet Center could derive updated, accurate orbits for both objects. Here we report on the preliminary results of our study. Whereas the long-term behavior of 1991 UA2 looks fairly regular and stable, 1993 FR58 exhibits a typical “stable chaos” behavior; nevertheless, it does not end up in the resonance within a time span of 50 Myr. On the other hand, its fictitious clones, placed just 3–4 × 10−3 AU closer to the resonance, undergo large irregular semimajor axis changes, fall into the resonance and escape on a timescale <1 Myr. 相似文献

The problem of datum definition as applied to local-area geodetic networks is investigated using data collected from global navigation satellite systems (GNSS). It is shown that the process of double differencing makes the model more sensitive to computational errors that reduce the ability of the satellites alone to control the translation component of the datum definition, and as a result additional regularization is required. Traditionally, datum definition has been accomplished by constraining one station to set coordinates. Alternative regularization strategies are analysed in terms of their effects on positioning and ambiguity resolution. In doing so, processing strategies are developed which can improve the quality of global positioning system (GPS)-based position solutions in geodetic network applications of limited spatial extent, such as high-precision engineering and deformation monitoring networks. 相似文献

One deposit and four occurrences of uranium minerals in the Permo-Triassic sedimentary rocks of the Stara Planina in eastern Serbia were ascertained using data from years of multidisciplinary geological research. The minerals are the fissure-filling type, and were assigned to the exogenic mineralization group, being mostly epigene in nature. Relevant geological information was used to derive a genetic model of uranium mineralization in the Permo-Triassic sedimentary rocks of the Stara Planina. The model explains the formation of Permo-Triassic rocks and three stages of the complex process of U mineralization. The genetic model treats: (1) the primary sources of the uranium; (2) the mobility of uranium; and (3) accessory metals from the parent rocks to their deposition in host rocks and the postmineral change in ore bodies. A geochemical barrier zone was identified in the sedimentary rocks that contained uranium mineral ore. This geochemical barrier area included crescent-shaped, flat-lens, or vein-like ore bodies. The U-containing mineral described is comparable with those from the relatively common fissure-filling uranium minerals found around the world. 相似文献

The design of the Rovni Lake reservoir in the Kolubara District, western Serbia, is the basis for the regional water-supply system there. The design was promoted as an example of integrative and sustainable water management, with regard to the planned provision for long-term municipal water supply in the Kolubara region, as well as for the regulation of the downstream river flow. Hydrogeological analyses, however, have indicated three key issues that contest this sustainable water-management model: (1) the capability of the available groundwater sources to fully meet the drinking water demands in the region, (2) a pronounced risk of water loss from the reservoir, and (3) a pronounced risk of karst aquifer contamination. The Rovni project ignores the hydrogeological properties of a karst aquifer and thereby needlessly threatens the groundwater resource. Hence, modifications to the project are recommended in order to mitigate or eliminate the most significant construction and ecological risk factors and to improve sustainable exploitation and integrative water-resource management. 相似文献

The recharge of a karst aquifer, in terms of its quantity and spatial distribution, depends on various natural factors such
as climate, topography, vegetation, soil, and geology. Selection of an adequate method for assessing recharge in karst is
often a matter of dispute. Multi-parameter methods using Geographical information systems tools have recently been successfully
developed and applied in karstic terrains of Spain and Lebanon. Specific local conditions such as highly karstified terrains
could additionally complicate such an assessment. The Montenegro karstified terrains in the southern part of the External
Dinarides are characterized by a very high precipitation rate, irregular seasonal distribution, and absence of surface waters
(extremely high infiltration capacity of karst). Considering such conditions, an attempt to apply existing knowledge and experiences
to the development of an appropriate multi-parameter method for assessing spatial distribution of autogenous recharge has
been made. The KARSTLOP method has been developed, applied, and calibrated at catchments of several large karst springs of
Montenegro. Obtained results in tested catchment areas confirm that with some further improvements the KARSTLOP method could
be a useful tool to support research of karstic aquifers in similar highly karstified terrains. 相似文献

Vulnerability and disaster risk assessment has been evaluated from different perspectives with focus on global or national scale. There is a lack of methodologies on city scale, which are able to capture inner-city disparities with regard to socioeconomic aspects. Therefore, the main objective was to develop a transparent and comprehensive indicator-based approach which is flexible in terms of data availability and is not tied to a specific case study side. This research proposes two flexible methodological approaches on how to perform socioeconomic vulnerability assessment. Susceptibility, Coping and Adaptation are the main elements of a modular hierarchical structure to capture the societal sphere of vulnerability. The first method is completely based on official census data at block scale. The second method is an expansion and includes data derived from a field survey to add components of risk perception. The proposed methodologies were developed and applied in the city of Genoa (Italy). The results are displayed spatially explicit on maps. Furthermore statistical analysis, to reveal the driving forces which influence vulnerability, was performed. The census-based approach revealed that vulnerability is forced along the river by the inherent susceptibility, as well as the lack of adaptation. The two approaches can be used effectively in gaining different insights. The flexibility of the framework proved to be suitable to the objective of the research. However, the values computed in this research do not claim completeness, and the aim was to provide useful information for stakeholders in decision making process to reduce vulnerability and risk. 相似文献

It is well recognized that the phenomenon of depolarization (the conversion of polarized radio emission into unpolarized emission) of microwaves over solar active regions can be used to infer the coronal electron density once the coronal magnetic field is known. In this paper we explore this technique using an active region for which we have excellent radio data showing depolarization at two frequencies, and for which we have an excellent magnetic field model which has been tested against observations. We show that this technique for obtaining coronal densities is very sensitive to a number of factors. When Cohen's (1960) theory where depolarization is due to magnetic field rotation alone is used, the result is particularly sensitive to the location of the surface on which the magnetic field is orthogonal to the line of sight. Depending on whether we take into account the presence of electric currents in the photosphere or not, their extrapolation into the corona can result in very different heights being deduced for the location of the depolarization strip, and this changes the density which is then deduced from the depolarization condition. Such extreme sensitivity to the magnetic field model requires that field extrapolations be able to accurately predict the polarity of magnetic fields up to coronal heights as high as 105 km in order to exploit depolarization as a density diagnostic. 相似文献
