On the basis of bottom sediment core dating performed by the technogenic isotope 137Cs, the rate of sedimentation in periodically drying Zun-Torei Lake (water area is up to 300 km2) is estimated at 2.88 mm per year over the last 59 years. This value is in agreement with the data of palinological determinations (3.44 mm per year). High sedimentation rates are attributed to intensive evaporite sedimentation and probable eolian addition of terrigenous material.  相似文献

Contents of rare earth elements in waters and bottom sediments are maximum in the most mineralized soda lakes. It is shown that REE occur in waters mainly as carbonate (LnСО3)+ and oxyhydroxide LnO2H, LnO+, (LnO2) complexes, whose activity in the La → Lu series changes in opposite directions. It has been determined that increase of mineralization leads mainly to higher concentrations of the dissolved HREE. Prevalence of the absolute values of MREE and HREE is recorded in basins with the development of bacterial processes. Geochemical barrier for the accumulation of LREE in waters can be represented by fluorcarbonates, whose saturation degree in the soda lake waters can be several orders of magnitude higher than the solubility products (SP). Oxidative and reductive settings in lakes are favorable for the formation of Ce(OH)4 and Ce(OH)3, respectively.  相似文献

The negative correlation between values δD and δ18O and concentrations of dissolved silicon in nitrogen hot springs is ascertained, which attests to the directed alteration of their hydroisotopic composition towards being depleted in heavy isotopes during interaction in the water-rock system. This fact can be allowed for the cases of the lighter isotopic composition of the hot springs of meteogenic origin relative to that of local atmospheric precipitation. The shifts in points of isotopic composition of hot springs from the global meteoric water line can be caused by alterations in either oxygen or hydrogen composition.  相似文献
