A study of HF wave propagation in the three-dimensional inhomogeneous ionosphere has been carried out in an approximation of geometrical optics. The three-dimensional medium of radio wave propagation is considered to be inhomogeneous, absorbing, and anisotropic due to the influence of the geomagnetic field. The parameters of the medium are described by the results of calculations on the basis of the Global Self-Consistent Model of the Thermosphere, Ionosphere, and Protonosphere (GSM TIP). The propagation of radio waves in the equatorial, middle-, and high-latitude ionosphere was studied. Comparisons of the ray trajectories, integral attenuation, deviations of the projection of radio wave trajectories onto the Earth’s surface from the great-circle arc, and the behavior of the angle between the wave phase and wave energy directions, as well as the angle between the direction of propagation and the external magnetic field obtained for quiet and disturbed conditions, have been performed. We consider a geomagnetic storm that occurred in 2011, with the main storm phase occurring on September 26, and the day after geomagnetic disturbances, September 29, as disturbed conditions in the ionosphere.  相似文献

We performed photoelectric observations of AS Cam in 2002–2004. Five new times of minima were obtained. Their positions are consistent with the previously found light equation for the system and with the hypothesis that the difference between the observed (15°/100 yr) and theoretical (44°/100 yr) rates of apsidal motion results from the presence of a third body in the system. A Fourier analysis of two observational data sets, 1968–1970 and 2002–2004, reveals, with a high significance, periodic light variations with a frequency of ω 0 = 1.0950 ± 0.0001d?1 and an amplitude of ~0 . m 020, which are probably caused by the radial pulsations of one of the components. We found a seasonal phase shift of these oscillations that may be produced by other periodic processes in the system. We show that the fairly large scatter of observed times of minima about the theoretical curve of the light equation can be explained by the presence of pulsations. Using the 2002 and 2004 observations as an example, we show that including the pulsations reduces this scatter.  相似文献

Results of a field experiment on studying solar radiation passing in the visible wavelength range are described with the model aerosol media created in the surface atmosphere. High-efficiency thermocondensation generators were used for creating model aerosol media. The index of refraction and an average size of the aerosol particles formed are close to those characteristic of the natural stratospheric aerosol. The composition and technical characteristics of the equipment complex used in the experiments to control aerosol optical and microphysical parameters and meteorological conditions of the experiment are considered. The Gaussian model of impurity dispersion in the boundary layer is used for the analysis and interpretation of measurement results. It is found that with a number concentration of aerosol particles of ~102–103 cm?3 (which corresponds to the aerosol density in the deposited layer of about 1–10 mg/m2 with the layer thickness along the ray path of about 100 m) the solar radiation attenuation with artificial aerosol layers accounts for 1 to 10%. Model estimates are in satisfactory agreement with the measurement results.  相似文献

The Jurassic-Cretaceous (Volgian-Lower Valanginian) boundary deposits in the lower reaches of the Lena River (near the village of Chekurovka and on the Cape Chucha, North Yakutia) are described bed-by-bed. The taxonomic composition of ammonites and bivalves (mainly Buchia) is determined. The species assemblages are biostratigraphically analyzed and biostratigraphic units of the bed and zone ranks are recognized based on by Buchia and ammonites. Analogues of the Buchia Zones (buchiazones) Unschensis, Okensis, Tolmatschewi, Inflata and ammonite zones Exoticus, Okensis, Sibiricus, Analogus, Mesezhnikowi and ? Klimovskiensis are established in this region for the first time. A correlation of the distinguished buchiazones with the buchiazones of the Nordvik Peninsula, New Siberian Islands (Stolbovoy Island), the basin of the Anyuy River, and Northern California is proposed. The ammonite assemblages constantly contain phylloceratids; some stratigraphic intervals also contain lytoceratids; this is probably connected with a Paleo-Pacific influence. Unlike the ammonite assemblages of the same age of the Khatanga depression, the subzones cannot be distinguished in the Sibiricus and Kochi Zones of the Lower Lena due to differences in the stratigraphic ranges of some ammonite species. Hectoroceras in the Kochi zone is very rare and Praetollia predominates here.  相似文献

Palaeotemperatures for the Cretaceous of India and Madagascar have been determined on the basis of oxygen isotopic analysis of well-preserved Albian belemnite rostra and Maastrichtian bivalve shells of from the Trichinopoly district, southern India, and Albian nautiloid and ammonoid cephalopods from the Mahajang Province, Madagascar. The Albian (possibly late Albian) palaeotemperatures for Trichinopoly district are inferred to range from 14.9 °C to 18.5 °C for the epipelagic zone, and from 14.3 °C to 15.9 °C for the mesopelagic zone, based on analyses of 65 samples; isotopic palaeotemperatures interpreted as summer and winter values for near-bottom shelf waters in this area fluctuate from 16.3 to 18.5 °C and from 14.9 to 16.1 °C, respectively. The mentioned palaeotemperatures are very similar to those calculated from isotopic composition of middle Albian belemnites of the middle latitude area of Pas-de-Calais in Northern hemisphere but significantly higher than those calculated from isotopic composition of Albian belemnites from southern Argentina and the Antarctic and middle Albian belemnites of Australia located within the warm-temperate climatic zone. Isotopic analysis of early Albian cephalopods from Madagascar shows somewhat higher palaeotemperatures for summer near-bottom shelf waters in this area (20.2-21.6 °C) in comparison with late Albian palaeotemperatures calculated from southern India fossils, but similar winter values (13.3-16.4 °C); however, the latter values are somewhat higher than those calculated from early Albian ammonoids of the tropical-subtropical climatic zone of the high latitude area of southern Alaska and the Koryak Upland. The new isotopic palaeotemperature data suggest that southern India and Madagascar were located apparently in middle latitudes (within the tropical-subtropical climatic zone) during Albian time. In contrast to the Albian fossils, isotope results of well-preserved early Maastrichtian bivalve shells from the Ariyalur Group, Trichinopoly district, are characterised by lower δ18O values (up to −5.8‰) but normal δ13C values, which might be a result local freshwater input into the marine environment. Our data suggest that the early Maastrichtian palaeotemperature of the southern Indian near-bottom shelf waters was probably about 21.2 °C, and that this middle latitude region continued to be a part of tropical-subtropical climatic zone, but with tendency of increasing of humidity at the end of Cretaceous time.  相似文献

Isometric in plan, near-vertical earthquake clusters (seismic “nails”) were identified in different regions of the world. Seismic nails are 10–90 km in vertical length; most earthquakes that make them up are weak and their formation time is 10–60 days. Some nails are related to strong earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. Many seismic nails are not evidently related to fault zones and other tectonic structures. The Hurst exponent (H > 0.5) indicates the persistency in the sequence of earthquake depths.  相似文献

The dayside near-nucleus comae formed by solar-driven sublimation from two different aspherical nuclei made of an homogeneous mixture of ice and dust are computed by (1) solving Navier-Stokes equations and (2) direct Monte Carlo simulations, for different nucleus sizes, heliocentric distances, and dust-to-ice mixing ratios. Excellent agreement between the two methods is found down to surprisingly low production rates; it is found that the limit of validity of the first method is not simply related to the coma rarefaction: a new dimensionless number is tentatively offered to characterize this limit. The present solutions show that the weak shocks always present in the fluid coma persist practically down to truly free-molecular conditions, excluding the observational discovery of a structureless coma. They also show that rarefied flow in the near-nucleus coma can have a quite complicated structure, in particular inside topographic depressions. As an example, coma recondensation on the sunlit flanks of a cavity was found to be possible. We compute, for the first time, a true collisionless coma and show that structures are still present in it but are confined to the immediate vicinity of the surface. Finally, we describe in detail the kinetic conditions in a rarefied water coma, i.e., the velocity distribution asymmetry and the rotational-translational nonequilibrium. The significance of the results for future missions to comets is outlined.  相似文献
