The Masila area is located in the Hadhramaut region in east central Yemen. Oil was first discovered in the area in late 1990 with commerciality being declared in late 1991. Oil production began in July 1993. By the end of December 1999, the daily production rate was set at 210,000 stock tank barrels/day (STB/D) of very low gas–oil ratio (GOR) oil under partial to full water drive. About 90% of the reserves are found in the Lower Qishn Clastics Member of the Qishn Formation. This paper focuses on the detailed 3D geological modeling of the Lower Cretaceous Sequence conducted through an integrated study. There are three critical areas in the process of modeling reservoirs that involve geological and geophysical modeling, reservoir characterization, and reservoir flow modeling. This paper presents methodologies found useful during the modeling of these reservoirs including field case histories for the Lower Cretaceous reservoir in the Masila oilfield.  相似文献

Since the traditional Maximum Likelihood-based range domain multiple reference consistency check (MRCC) has limitations in satisfying the integrity requirement of CAT II/III for civil aviation, a Kalman filter-based position domain method has been developed for fault detection and exclusion in the Local Area Augmentation System MRCC process. The position domain method developed in this paper seeks to address the limitations of range domain-based MRCC by focusing not only on improving the performance of the fault detection but also on the integrity risk requirement for MRCC. In addition, the issue of the stability of the Kalman filter in relation to the position domain approach is considered. GPS range corrections from multiple reference receivers are fused by the adaptive Kalman filter at the master station for detecting and excluding the single reference receiver’ failure. The performance of the developed Kalman filter-based MRCC has been compared with the traditional method using experimental data. The results reveal that the vertical protection level is slightly better in the traditional method compared with the developed Kalman filter-based approach under the fault-free case. However, the availability can be improved to over 97% in the proposed method relative to the traditional method under the single-fault case. Furthermore, the fault-tolerant positioning result with an accuracy improvement of more than 32% can be achieved even if different fault types are considered under the single-fault case. In particular, the algorithm can be a candidate option as an augmentable complement for the traditional MRCC and can be implemented in a master station element of the LAAS integrity monitoring architecture.  相似文献

Hourly sea level records from three stations in eastern Canada (Québec-Lauzon, Harrington-Harbour and Halifax) are analyzed both in frequency domain from 1970 to 1979 and in time domain during 1973. At the three stations, the deterministic model explains 90 to 96% of the total variability of sea level. The semidiurnal and diurnal tides contribute largely to its variations. The residual series, less than 10% of the initial variations of sea level, contain irregular values including extreme values of seiches and storm surges. Such random variations are analyzed and modeled following the method described by Box and Jenkins (1976). The long period variations (2 to 30 days) can be attributed to meteorological forcing (atmospheric pressure and winds). The short period variations (some hours to one day) can be attributed to longitudinal seiches, semidiurnal and diurnal atmospheric tides, and inertial oscillations. The water discharge from the St. Lawrence River contributes 29% of the monthly residual sea level at Qué  相似文献

Bush encroachment is a significant phenomenon in savanna environments as it affects wildlife and local livelihoods by preventing new pasture generation. In this article we present a 2000-year record of vegetation change in the Dara range of the Mago National Park, southwestern Ethiopia, an area inhabited by Mursi agro-pastoralists. We use an interdisciplinary approach to understand whether bush encroachment in this area is a recent event or a transitional state of the savanna and describe the local understanding of encroachment as a species-specific process. The vegetation record was obtained from a fossil hyrax midden, a type of sediment already used in Southern Africa but never before in East Africa. Six encroaching phases, led by Capparaceae and Grewia, were found over the last two millennia. The system proved to be resilient, with alternating open and encroached phases, and showed a non-linear response to environmental change, thereby fitting the control theory hypothesis for hysteresis loops. Determining the thresholds conditioning the system's resilience could help to improve savanna management for both local people and National Park authorities.  相似文献

In this paper, the classical and generalized Sundman time transformations are used to establish new generating set of differential equations of motion in terms of the Eulerian redundant parameters. The implementation of this set on digital computers for the commonly used independent variables is developed once and for all. Motion prediction algorithms based on these equations are developed in a recursive manner for the motions in the Earth's gravitational field with axial symmetry whatever the number of the zonal harmonic terms may be. Applications for the two types of short and long term predictions are considered for the perturbed motion in the Earth's gravitational field with axial symmetry with zonal harmonic terms up to J 36 . Numerical results proved the very high efficiency and flexibility of the developed equations.  相似文献

In the Ouled Abdoun sedimentary basin (Morocco), the phosphatic series is composed of regular interbedded phosphatic and marly limestone layers. Some phosphatic deposits in this basin show sterile bodies causing two kinds of problems: (1) as they are hard, compact and masked by a Quaternary cover, they disturb the exploitation in some yards and give bad reserve calculations; (2) even the use of wells and mechanical boreholes did not evidence their delimitation. Therefore, electric prospecting method has been used to evidence their geometrical shape. Petrographical and geometrical studies on these sterile bodies allowed us to choose the appropriate geophysical method to map them. The electrical resistivity survey that we used in the Sidi Chennane area shows that this technique is a good tool to contour these sterile bodies.
