It is shown that the spectrum of eigen oscillations of the world ocean incorporates a mode with a period of about 100 h. It results from narrow straits connecting separate oceanic basins. Stable and unstable stationary thermohaline circulations provided by a box model comprising three ventilated masses—surface, intermediate, and deep—are discussed. The most likely states have been determined. It is shown that jump-like variations of the thermocline circulation are likely. 新疆北部中新生代幔源岩浆岩多位于大型走滑断裂带或者裂谷带附近,岩石系列均具有高的TiO_2含量,富碱、高度富集不相容元素和轻稀土(LREE),ε_(Nd)(t)值低正值到负值,(~(87)Sr/~(86)Sr)_i值较高,不相容元素比值La/Nb和Nb/U显示中新生代玄武岩浆在形成过程中的壳幔作用明显不同于古生代造山过程,岩浆来源于类似OIB源的富集地幔。而新疆北部地区的二叠纪幔源镁铁-超镁铁岩来源于亏损地幔,陆壳物质参与了岩浆的形成,源区可能混入了早期的弧组分或俯冲的洋壳。由于古生代多个洋盆闭合和增生造山作用致使中亚造山带的岩石圈不断增厚,于古生代晚期发生拆沉去根作用,软流圈亏损地幔上涌形成二叠纪镁铁-超镁铁岩系,而拆沉的岩石圈以及俯冲下沉的洋壳及其沉积物,在地幔环境熔融交代改造原始地幔,使中亚地区的地幔自古生代晚期以后逐渐转换为整体富碱、富含轻稀土(LREE)和不相容元素的富集地幔。被改造了的富集地幔在中新生代沿裂谷带或大型走滑断裂薄弱带上涌,形成了中新生代幔源岩浆的喷发和侵位。 相似文献

Using the three-dimensional nonlinear finite-element thermohydrodynamic model QUODDY-4, we obtain two solutions giving an idea of the role of the nonlinear interaction of tidal harmonics in the formation of their spatial structure. The first solution is induced by the total tide (M 2 + S 2 + K 1 + O 1) at the open boundary and by the total static tide inside the area under consideration; then, the solution obtained is subject to harmonic analysis. The second solution is obtained by specifying such tidal sea level elevations at the open boundary that meet individual tidal harmonics. These two solutions are compared. It is shown that the differences between the solutions for the S 2, K 1, and O 1 waves can be significant, especially near the open boundary between the White and Barents seas. This conclusion remains valid also for the maximum velocities (major semiaxes of the ellipses) of the barotropic (depth-average) tidal current as well as for the average (over the tidal cycle) densities of the total tidal energy and components of the tidal-energy budget. The emergence of this feature indicates that there are resonance modes with frequencies that differ from those of the S 2, K 1, and O 1 harmonics to a lesser extent than the M 2 harmonic frequency. The same conclusion can be made by comparing the values of the amplification factor, which is defined as the ratio between the actual and static tides, for the system of the Barents and White seas as a whole and for Mezen Bay in the White Sea and Czech Bay in the Barents Sea, taken separately. 相似文献

The modeling results obtained using the original version of the three-dimensional finite-element hydrostatic model QUODDY-4 testify that the spatial distributions of dissipation of baroclinic tidal energy and the related coefficient of diapycnal mixing in the deepwater stratified subdomain of the White Sea (the Basin and Kandalaksha and Dvina bays together) are highly similar to those found for low- and midlatitude oceans. It is in the open part of the sea that their values remain equal to the minimum possible values determined by the molecular kinematic viscosity; at its lateral boundaries (not all boundaries, but only individual segments (sites of mixing)), their values increase. In the shallow homogeneous subdomain of the White Sea, the dissipation of baroclinic tidal energy is considerably larger than in the deep stratified subdomain. Accordingly, the vertical eddy viscosity in the first subdomain is a few orders of magnitude higher than the coefficient of diapycnal mixing in the second subdomain. Genetic programming (GP) has nowadays attracted the attention of researchers in the prediction of hydraulic data. This study presents Linear Genetic Programming (LGP), which is an extension to GP, as an alternative tool in the prediction of scour depth below a pipeline. The data sets of laboratory measurements were collected from published literature and were used to develop LGP models. The proposed LGP models were compared with adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) model results. The predictions of LGP were observed to be in good agreement with measured data, and quite better than ANFIS and regression-based equation of scour depth at submerged pipeline. 相似文献

The results of modeling for M2 surface and internal tides in the White Sea are discussed. These results are obtained for the case when shore-fast and drifting ice covers are present concurrently. It is assumed that the interface between ice covers is of non-tidal origin (i.e., it is pre-assigned) and that ice rheology is viscous-elastic, representative of the low temperatures typical of winter conditions. Emphasis is placed on tidal energetics and, in particular, on the averaged (over a tidal cycle) values of the density and the dissipation rate of barotropic/baroclinic tidal energy. It is shown that in the White Sea, unlike in other marginal seas, the averaged (over a tidal cycle) and depth-integrated density of baroclinic tidal energy for the combined ice cover is much less than the same defined density of barotropic tidal energy. Similarly, the averaged and integrated (over the volume of the White Sea) rate of baroclinic tidal energy dissipation is much less than the same defined rate of barotropic tidal energy dissipation. Alternating radiolarian cherts and mudstones associated with basaltic lavas occur in a olistolith within the Late Cretaceous
Bornova Flysch in W Anatolia. Cherts yielded diverse and moderately preserved, Nassellaria-dominated radiolarian faunas of
late Bathonian-early Callovian age. Associated volcanic rocks are geochemically classified as remnants of oceanic seamounts.
This is so far the first late Middle Jurassic age from the crust of the Neotethyan Izmir-Ankara Ocean in W Anatolia, and suggests
that its spreading started earlier. Similar ages were reported from the Vardar and Meliata-Hallstadt Tethyan oceanic branches
in Greece and Serbia, which also opened in Late Triassic but closed earlier.

Abstract The Senonian Ophiolitic Mélange of the Ankara Mélange Supergroup includes numerous blocks of radiolarian cherts. These blocks contain various radiolarian assemblages from the Albian to the Turonian ( Pseudodictyomitra pseudomacrocephala, Thanarla tieneta) , the Lower Cretaceous ( Thanarla conica, Alievium helenae, Pseudodictyomitra carpatica) , the Kimmeridgian-Tithonian ( Ristola altissima, Sethocapsa cetia, Podocapsa umphitreptera) and the lower Jurassic ( Parahsuum simplum). Upper Norian radiolarians were obtained from two of these blocks. The assemblage is represented by Betraccium deweveri Pessagno and Blome, Ferresium triquetrum Carter, Pylostephanidium ankaraense n. sp. (Genus Pylostephanidizi was formerly unknown in the upper Triassic) and other taxa. Thus, upper Norian fauna of Turkey exhibits close similarity to the radiolarian assemblages of western North America, Eastern Russia, Japan and the Philippines. This provides further evidence for the correlation of Mediterranean and Pacific Triassic sequences. These data allow for the conclusion that the sedimentation of radiolarian cherts was common in this part of Tethys during the Late Triassic and the Jurassic. 相似文献
