Results of numerical simulation of currents in the western North Tropical Pacific Ocean by using a barotropic primitive equation model with fine horizontal resolution agreed well with observations and showed that the Mindanao Cyclonic Eddy located north of the equator and east of Mindanao Island exists during most of the year with monthly (and large seasonal) variations in scope . strength and central location . In June , an anticyclonic eddy occurs northeast of Halmahera Island, strengthens to maximum in August , exists until October and then disappears . The observed large-scale circulation systems such as the North Equatorial Current . the Mindanao Current and the North Equatorial Countercurrent are all very well reproduced in the simulations. 相似文献

In this paper, the coupling schemes of atmosphere-ocean climate models are discussed with one-dimensional advection equations.
The convergence and stability for synchronous and asynchronous schemes are demonstrated and compared.
Conclusions inferred from the analysis are given below. The synchronous scheme as well as the asynchronous-implicit scheme
in this model are stable for arbitrary integrating time intervals. The asynchronous explicit scheme is unstable under certain
conditions, which depend upon advection velocities and heat exchange parameters in the atmosphere and oceans. With both synchronous
and asynchronous stable schemes the discrete solutions converge to their unique exact ones. Advections in the atmosphere and
ocean accelerate the rate of convergence of the asynchronous-implicit scheme. It is suggusted that the asynchronous-implicit

In this paper, the atmosphere is divided into two regions which are governed by different equations. Furthermore, multiple-scale
method is used to obtain the Benjamin-Ono equation satisfied by the nonlinear Rossby wave in weak shear zonal flow. The equation
has algebraic solitary wave solution, and the stationary streamfunction fields in-ithe atmosphere are calculated by using
numerical method, and the results demonstrate that the stationary solution is antisymmetric dipoles with the anticyclone north
of the cyclone, and the structure is similar to the equivalent modon obtained by Mcwilliams (1980). Because the modon obtained
here is an algebraic solitary wave, the modon may be called “algebraic modon”, and the stationary algebraic modon is consistent

Occupying the middle of the central Asia Paleozoic accretionary and collisional orogenic belt, the eastern Tianshan area has a great economic potential due to Au-Cu mineralization during syn- and post- orogenic events. In the Kanggurtag Au-Cu metallogenic belt, three major types of gold deposits have been recognized: ductile-shear-zone-hosted gold deposits, magmatic hydrothermal gold deposits, and epithermal gold deposits. Four kinds of copper deposits have also been identified recently: the porphyry-type, the skarn-type, the magmatic type, and volcanic/sedimentary-type. Tectonically, the development of these late Paleozoic gold and copper deposits was closely associated with the subduction and collision of the ancient Tianshan ocean that intervened between the Tarim craton and the Siberian block. In the early to mid-Carboniferous, N-dipping subduction beneath the Dananhu arc generated magmatic intrusions, leading to formation of the porphyry Cu deposits. The magmatic front migrated southward to form the Yamansu arc upon the Kanggurtag accretionary wedge. In the latest Carboniferous to early Permian, during the closure of the ancient Tianshan ocean, large mafic-ultramafic complexes were emplaced, resulting in several magmatic copper-nickel deposits. Gold deposits of the shear-zone-type are controlled by the Kanggurtag ductile shear zone, which is related to collisional orogenesis. The epithermal gold deposits are associated with extensional tectonics and post-tectonic volcanic activity. The tectonic settings, geological features, and temporal and spatial distributions of these different types of gold and copper deposits reflect, to a great extent, the accretionary and collisional tectonics that occurred between the northern margin of the Tarim block and the southern margin of the Siberian block. 相似文献
