铁氧化物-磷灰石型铁矿床是长江中下游成矿带的重要组成部分,对其成岩成矿时限的精确厘定,是理解长江中下游地区中生代大规模成矿作用的动力学演化的关键。本文分别对宁芜盆地南部白象山、和睦山及中部的陶村三个大-中型铁矿床中与磁铁矿密切共生的金云母单矿物进行了Ar-Ar同位素测年,获得白象山矿床金云母Ar-Ar坪年龄为134.9±1.1Ma,对应的反等时线年龄为133±2Ma;和睦山矿床金云母Ar-Ar坪年龄为132.9±1.1Ma,对应的反等时线年龄为133.9±2.4Ma;陶村矿床金云母的反等时线年龄为128±14Ma。该区铁氧化物-磷灰石型矿床与该区火山-次火山岩具有密切的时间联系,成岩成矿时限主要集中于135~126Ma。综合研究表明,长江中下游第二期成岩成矿作用的时限为135~126Ma,对应于岩石圈的大规模快速减薄的地球动力学背景。  相似文献

We have analyzed the fine-structure of 131 electric field (E) waveforms that were radiated during the onset of first return strokes in cloud-to-ocean lightning. The dE/dt waveforms were recorded using an 8-bit waveform digitizer sampling at 100 MHz, and the E waveforms were sampled at 10 MHz using a 10-bit digitizer. 49 (or 37%) of the dE/dt waveforms contain one or more large pulses within ± 1 μs of the largest (or dominant) peak in dE/dt, i.e. within an interval from − 1 μs to + 1 μs, where t = 0 μs is the time of the dominant peak, and 37 (or 28%) have one or more large pulses in the interval from 4 μs before to 1 μs before the dominant peak, i.e. − 4 μs to − 1 μs, and only the dominant peak within ± 1 μs . We give statistics on the amplitude and timing of dE/dt pulses that are near the dominant peak, and we show how the presence of these pulses adds considerable fine-structure to the shape of Eint, the integrated dE/dt waveform, on a time-scale of tens to hundreds of nanoseconds. This fine-structure includes fast pulses near the beginning of the slow front, large pulses and shoulders within the slow front and during the fast-transition, and very narrow peaks in Eint. Our overall conclusion is that the electromagnetic environment near the point(s) where lightning leaders attach to the surface is often more complicated than what would be produced by a single current pulse propagating up a single channel at the time of onset.  相似文献

Deposits of Fe-Si-Mn oxyhydroxides are commonly found on the seafloor on seamounts and mid-ocean spreading centers. At Franklin Seamount located near the western extremity of Woodlark Basin, Papua New Guinea, Fe-Si-Mn oxyhydroxides are being precipitated as chimneys and mounds upon a substrate of mafic lava. Previous studies have shown that the vent fluids have a low temperature (20–30°C) and are characterized by a total dissolved iron concentration of 0.038 mM kg-1, neutral pH (6.26) and no measurable H2S. The chimneys have a yellowish appearance with mottled red–orange patches when observed in situ from a submersible, but collected samples become redder within a few hours of being removed from the sea. The amorphous iron oxyhydroxides, obtained from active and inactive vents, commonly possess filamentous textures similar in appearance to sheaths and stalks excreted by the iron-oxidizing bacteria Leptothrix and Gallionella; however, formless agglomerates are also common. Textural relationships between apparent bacterial and non-bacterial iron suggest that the filaments are coeval with and/or growing outwards from the agglomerates. The amorphous iron oxyhydroxides are suggested to precipitate hydrothermally as ferrosic hydroxide, a mixed-valence (Fe2+-Fe3+) green–yellow iron hydroxide compound. Consideration of the thermodynamics and kinetics of iron in the vent fluid, suggest that the precipitation is largely pH controlled and that large amounts of amorphous iron oxyhydroxides are capable of being precipitated by a combination of abiotic hydrothermal processes. Some biologically induced precipitation of primary ferric oxyhydroxides (two-XRD-line ferrihydrite) may have occurred directly from the fluid, but most of the filamentous iron micro-textures in the samples appear to have a diagenetic origin. They may have formed as a result of the interaction between the iron-oxidizing bacteria and the initially precipitated ferrosic hydroxide that provided a source of ferrous iron needed for their growth. The processes described at Franklin Seamount provide insight into the formation of other seafloor oxyhydroxide deposits and ancient oxide-facies iron formation.  相似文献

Mantle xenocrysts from early Triassic kimberlite pipes from Kharamai,Ary-Mastakh and Kuranakh fields in the Anabar shield of Siberia revealing similar compositional trends were studied to estimate the superplume influence on the subcratonic lithosphere mantle(SCLM).Pressure-temperature(PT) reconstructions using monomineral thermobarometry for 5 phases show division of the SCLM beneath the Kharamai field into 6 units:pyroxenitic Fe-rich(1-2 GPa) and Mg-rich(2-3 GPa) layers;middle with two levels of Gar-Sp pyroxenites at ~3 and 4-5 GPa;Gar-dunite-harzburgites ~4.5-6.5 GPa subjected to Ilm-Px vein metasomatism;and a Mg-rich dunite lower part.In the Anabar shield(Ary-Mastakh,Dyuken and Kuranakh fields) mantle lithosphere is composed of three large units divided into two parts:upper part with amphiboles and phlogopite;two levels of pyroxenites and eclogites at 3 and 4 GPa,and a lower part composed of refertilized dunites.Diagrams showing P-Fe~#Gar clusters for garnets and omphacites illustrate the differences between SCLM of these localities.Differences of Triassic SCLM from Devonian SCLM are in simple layering;abundance of Na-Cr-amphiboles and metasomatism in the upper SCLM part,thick pyroxenite-eclogite layer and lower part depletion,heated from SCLM base to 5.0 GPa.Kharamai mantle clinopyroxenes represent three geochemical types:(1) harzburgitic with inclined linear REE,HFSE troughs and elevated Th,U;(2) lherzolitic or pyroxenitic with round TRE patterns and decreasing incompatible elements;(3) eclogitic with Eu troughs,Pb peak and high LILE content.Calculated parental melts for garnets with humped REE patterns suggest dissolution of former Cpx and depression means Cpx and garnets extraction.Clinopyroxenes from Ary-Mastakh fields show less inclined REE patterns with HMREE troughs and an increase of incompatible elements.Clinopyroxenes from Kuranakh field show flatter spoon-like REE patterns and peaks in Ba,U,Pb and Sr,similar to those in ophiolitic harzburgites.The PT diagrams for the mantle sections show high temperature gradients in the uppermost SCLM accompanied by an increase of P-Fe~#Ol upward and slightly reduced thickness of the mantle keel of the Siberian craton,resulting from the influence of the Permian-Triassic superplume,but with no signs of delamination.  相似文献

Algal blooms frequently occur in the Maude Weir in the Murrumbidgee River of NSW, which are related to the availability of nutrients, particularly phosphorus. A clayey sediment from the bottom released P to the water when kept under reducing conditions, but did not release P when the supernatant water was aerated. The same material, with and without aeration, sorbed P when resuspended in water containing 1 mg P L−1. The resuspended anaerobic material adsorbed almost twice as much as the same material under aerobic conditions. Vigorous mixing, simulating transport breakage and abrasion, caused a substantial increase in sorption, with the effect being greater for the aerobic material. This was attributed to fragmentation of iron oxide aggregates formed during oxidation. Mineral magnetic properties, susceptibility and remanence ratios SIRM/χ, SIRM/ARM and IRMh%, of the material from the desorption experiment reflected changes in the chemical state of iron caused by oxidation and reduction. Phosphorus sorption studies were carried out on particle size fractions of soils collected from the walls of gullies through a granitic and a sedimentary soil, as well as on particle size classes derived from breakage and abrasion of the 500 to 1400 μm components of these soils. Sorption of phosphorus by the particle size classes of the sedimentary soil was much greater than those of the granite soil, and this also applied to the particles derived from breakage and abrasion. For the original sedimentary soil, sorption of phosphorus by the particle size components was strongly associated with the iron content and less strongly associated with the aluminium content and this also applied to the particles derived from breakage and abrasion. For the granitic soil these relationships were much less precise. A period of vigorous mixing, after 165 hours of gentle mixing, caused release of a proportion of the sorbed phosphorus from all particle sizes of the original granitic soil and for most of the breakage/abrasion derived particles. The released phosphorus was re‐sorbed during a subsequent 48 hour period of settling. Relationships were evident between labile P and sorbed P for the particle size classes of the soils and treatments tested. Because particle size, lithology of the transported sediments and flow dynamics affect the distribution of phosphorus between water and sediments, they can also be expected to effect bio‐availability of phosphorus. In their broad synoptic features the basic hemispheric patterns of climate, on which the patterns of climatic change depend, fall into two distinctive categories, the zonal and meridional. Distinctive synoptic features of the primary zonal patterns are first described. Then statistically significant relationships are examined between the temporal changes in these patterns and the long secular cycles of sunspot and related variable solar activity. It is these relationships that lend them selves to the statistical prediction of long-term climatic trends. Possible physical linkage between disturbing solar impulses and atmospheric response is suggested. A significant relationship between zonal climatic patterns and shorter term (22 years) double sunspot cycles is noted. Distinctive syn optic features of the primary meridional patterns of climate and climatic change are then described. They are of short duration and relate significantly only to double sunspot (DSS) and shorter cycles, notably at higher latitudes and during the winter season. They are apparently responsive to solar corpuscular (solar wind) impulses in contrast to the apparent response of the zonal long-term trend patterns of change to solar electromagnetic (radiational) changes. The research approach best suited to investigate the physical mechanism of solar-climatic linkage is discussed as a necessary basis for the development of effective models for the solar prediction of climatic change.  相似文献

The Molasse Basin of Switzerland evolved through a distinct late Neogene history with initial development as a classic foredeep or foreland basin in response to loading of the lithosphere by the Alpine orogen. In the central and western foreland, the foredeep behaviour was terminated by deformation and uplift of the Jura Mountains in the distal regions of the foredeep. Following the Jura deformation the Plateau Molasse remained largely undeformed as it rode ‘piggy‐back’ style above the decollement feeding displacement into the Jura. Sediment accumulation data for the Molasse suggests that sedimentation in the Plateau Molasse region continued until the basin was inverted at about 5 Ma. We present a mechanical model for this sequence of events in which deformation jumps across much of the basin to the distal Jura because of the dip on the weak evaporitic decollement and the wedge‐shape of the foredeep basin. Subsequently, the Plateau Molasse remained largely undeformed as a result of continued sedimentation in a wedgetop basin, where the physical properties and geometry of the orogenic wedge combine to produce a critical wedge whose critical surface slope would be less than zero and thus should dip towards the Alpine interior. Accommodation space is created over this negative surface–slope segment of the wedge and sedimentation maintains this slope near zero, stabilizing the wedge. We present a simple analytical theory for the necessary conditions for such a ‘negative‐alpha basin’ to develop and be maintained. We compare this theory to the late Neogene evolution of the Alps, Molasse Basin and Jura Mountains and infer physical properties for the decollement.  相似文献

The Cenozoic sedimentary succession of Bangladesh provides an archive of Himalayan erosion. However, its potential as an archive is currently hampered by a poor lithostratigaphic framework with limited age control. We focus on the Hatia Trough of the Bengal Basin and the adjacent fold belt of the Chittagong Hill Tracts which forms the outermost part of the west‐propagating Indo‐Burmese wedge. We present a basin‐wide seismic stratigraphic framework for the Neogene rocks, calibrated by biostratigraphy, which divides the succession into three seismically distinct and regionally correlatable Megasequences (MS). MS1 extends to NN15‐NN16 (ca. 2.5–3.9 Ma), MS2 to NN19‐NN20 (ca. 0.4–1.9 Ma) and MS3 to present day. Our seismic mapping, thermochronological analyses of detrital mineral grains, isotopic analyses of bulk rock, heavy mineral and petrographic data, show that the Neogene rocks of the Hatia Trough and Chittagong Hill Tracts are predominantly Himalayan‐derived, with a subordinate arc‐derived input possibly from the Paleogene IndoBurman Ranges as well as the Trans‐Himalaya. Our seismic data allow us to concur with previous work that suggests folding of the outer part of the west‐propagating wedge only commenced recently, within the last few million years. We suggest that it could have been the westward encroachment and final abutment of the Chittagong Hill Tracts fold belt onto the already‐uplifted Shillong Plateau that caused diversion of the palaeo‐Brahmaputra to the west of the plateau as the north‐east drainage route closed.  相似文献
