An analysis of experimental data from the ??Ulitka?? high-frequency gravitational-gradient meter installed in the underground Baksan Neutrino Observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences is presented, focusing on the planned use of this instrument as an ??anti-coincidence filter?? for the OGRAN gravitational-wave antenna. The statistics of the Ulitka noise background over a year??s observing are analyzed, and compared with the background measured earlier when Ulitka was located on the territory of the Sternberg Astronomical Institute in Moscow. A reduction in the rate of occurrence of large nonthermal spikes is noted. We have found associations between earthquakes and excitations of the seismically isolated high-frequency mode of the longitudinal oscillations of Ulitka. 相似文献

The detection of gravitational radiation from relativistic objects in the Universe is discussed. Modern programs designed to search for such signals based on current astrophysical concepts about the nature of the sources are considered. A comparative analysis indicates that available gravitational-wave detectors, whose sensitivity to metric perturbations is on the order of 10?21, are unlikely to be able to detect cosmic gravitational waves. However, the detector sensitivity can be increased using a multichannel method to search for astro-gravitational correlations, in which the noise background of the gravitational-wave detectors is analyzed in parallel with data from neutrino and gamma-ray detectors. 相似文献

An investigation of the large-scale magnetic field variations in the corona prior to and after CME eruptions 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The magnetic field changes in the corona at the site of coronal mass ejections (CMEs) have been investigated using the potential field-source surface model. It is shown that a CME is accompanied by the opening of closed field lines that formed the streamer's helmet base prior to the onset of a coronal disturbance. Two to three days after the appearance of the CME, the field configuration at the location of the coronal ejection reverts approximately to the state pre-existing before the generation of the CME. The appearance of small transient open magnetic tubes has been found after eruption of the coronal mass. These magnetic tubes seem to be the analogs for transient coronal holes.Taking into account the results of calculations of the field changes in the neighbourhood of the CME occurrence site, we have suggested a possible mechanism governing the spatio-temporal correlation between some flares and CMEs. Also, a possible mechanism has been proposed for field reconfiguration in the corona, leading to loss of the equilibrium of the magnetic configuration and to the subsequent generation of a CME in the region of coronal streamer chains separating coronal holes with same-polarity magnetic field. 相似文献

A long-term analysis of the noise background of the “ULITKA” gravitational-wave antenna is presented in connection with searches for anomalous impulsive signals and slow solar-terrestrial correlations with a period of 27 days. Automated selection and estimation algorithms are used, including nonparametric criteria for the statistical dependence of samples uniform in time. The upper limit for the gravitational-noise background is confirmed by the observational statistics. The presence of slow, anomalous correlations is not confirmed. 相似文献
