Vibration of linear structures due to jump-discontinuous,non-interrupted,stochastic processes

The solution of the problem of vibration of linearly elastic structures, caused by stochastic excitation of non-interrupted, jump-discontinuous character, is considered in the paper. Two types of excitation are examined. They form an enhancement of the continuous model which is most often used. The solution in the form of expected values, correlation functions and spectral densities of the deflection of the structure is formulated. Examples illustrating the solution are presented.     

中国与澳大利亚的气象合作

中国与澳大利亚的领土面积很接近,跨越经度大致相同,所处纬度数也差不多,但是人口、历史和社会结构则有极大差异。在过去的十五年间,两国合作迅速发展,作为人类活动中必然进行国际合作的领域之一——气象更是如此。本文简单地对比了两国气象发展的历史和目前状况,并概述了1985年两国开展双边气象合作以来所执行的项目的主要内容。     

Two-step deglaciation: 14C-Dated high-resolution δ18O records from the tropical Atlantic Ocean

Eight box cores from the tropical Atlantic were studied in detail with regard to foraminiferal oxygen isotopes, radiocarbon, and Globorotalia menardii abundance. A standard Atlantic oxygen-isotope signal was reconstructed for the last 20,000 yr. It is quite similar to the west-equatorial Pacific signal published previously. Deglaciation is seen to occur in two steps which are separated by a pause. Onset of deglaciation is after 15,000 yr B.P. The pause is centered between 11,000 and 12,000 yr B.P., but may be correlative with the Younger Dryas (10,500 yr B.P.) if allowance is made for a scale shift due to mixing processes on the sea floor. Step 2 is centered near 10,000 yr B.P. and is followed by a brief excursion toward light oxygen values. This excursion (the M event) may correlate with the Gulf of Mexico meltwater spike.     

Petroleum isoprenoid hydrocarbons derived from catagenetic degradation of archaebacterial lipids

The three GC coeluting C₄₀ bis-phytanes with head-to-tail, tail-to-tail and head-to-head linkages considered to be archaebacterial markers, have been recognized in petroleum by enhanced mass-fragmentography. Supporting evidence has been obtained by the simultaneous occurrence of two C₂₁–C₂₄ series of isoprenoid and quasi-isoprenoid hydrocarbons that are supposedly formed during the catagenetic degradation of the isomeric C₄₀ isoprenoids. The C₂₁–C₂₄ quasi-isoprenoid hydrocarbons have been identified conclusively for the first time by comparison with authentic standards.
