Field experiment was conducted during 2009–10 and 2010–11 rabi season at research farm of IARI, New Delhi for assessing the aphid infestation in mustard. In aphid infested plant the LAI was 67 to 94% lower than healthy plant. Chlorophyll concentration decreased to 50% in infested plant as compared to healthy plant. Infestation was more severe in late sown crop and due to aphid infestation the percentage oil content and yield was reduced significantly. The spectral reflectance of aphid infested canopy and healthy canopy taken in the laboratory had significant difference in NIR region. In the visible region, the reflectance peak occurred in healthy canopy at around 550–560 nm while this peak was lower by 31% in the aphid infested canopy. The reflectance for healthy crop was found to be more in visible as well as NIR region as compared to aphid infested canopy. The most significant spectral bands for the aphid infestation in mustard are in visible (550–560 nm) and near infrared regions (700–1250 nm and 1950–2450 nm). The different level of aphid infestation can be identified in 1950–2450 nm spectral regions. Spectral indices viz NDVI, RVI, AI and SIPI had significant correlation with aphid infestation. Hence these indices could be used for identifying aphid infestation in mustard. 相似文献
Present study was designed to determine the effect of various growing environments on sucking pest population dynamics in cotton and to work out their relation with spectral indices. Crop spectral reflectance in four IRS bands was measured with ground truth radiometer during 1000–1200 h in all the treatment combinations. Incidence of sucking pest in cotton was found out to be highly influenced by growing environments. The leafhopper and whitefly population was highest in 15 May sown cotton crop and was lowest in 15 April sown crop. Cultivar HS-6 was highly affected by both the sucking pest than the other cultivar H-1226. The spectral indices (SR, NDVI and TVI) were highest in 15 April sown crop at all the phenophases and were lowest in 15 May sown crop. The cultivar H-1226 showed higher values of spectral indices as compared to HS-6. The relationship of pests’ population with various spectral indices was established. Multiple regression models based on spectral indices can be used for prediction of sucking pest population more than 69 and 74 % accuracy in leafhopper and whitefly, respectively in cotton crop. 相似文献
Albeit the advent of fast computing facilities, digital image classification of remotely sensed data is still remain the topic of research. This might be due to the reason that the ancillary information such as texture and topography is absent in image classification. Since two decades, texture is widely applied in image classification but there is no explicit icon in most popularly used remote sensing software. Hence the aim of this study is to classify the Landsat ETM+ captured in 2000 using spectral information, topographic information and texture information. This study helps to throw light into statistical texture analysis i.e., the effect window size i.e., 3?×?3 to 9?×?9, on image classification. The ability of Grey Run Length Matrix (GRLM), which is computationally complex compared to industrially well-known Grey Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) but encompasses greater potential to discriminate between two classes, is explored. Eight spectral bands, 11 texture parameters extracted from Landsat ETM+ data and elevation, slope, aspect extracted from DEM data are classified individually using Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and the individually classified information is integrated using endorsement theory. Validations of classified results are performed using Google Maps and Landmap services updated in 2009. The results are compared with Maximum Likelihood classification (MLC) and hence all the evidence (spectral, texture and topography) with 5?×?5 texture window provided maximum classification accuracy of 70.44 %. 相似文献
Fuzzy based soft classification have been used immensely for handling the mixed pixel and hence to extract the single class of interest. The present research attempts to extract the moist deciduous forest from MODIS temporal data using the Possibilistic c-Means (PCM) soft classification approach. Temporal MODIS (7 dates) data were used to identify moist deciduous forest and temporal AWiFS (7 dates) data were used as reference data for testing. The Simple Ratio (SR), Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index (SAVI), and Transformed Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (TNDVI) were used to generate the temporal vegetation indices for both the MODIS and the AWiFS datasets. It was observed from the research that the MODIS temporal NDVI data set1, which contain the minimum number of images and avoids the temporal images corresponding to the highest frequency stages of onset of greenness (OG) and end of senescence (ES) activity of moist deciduous forest have been found most suitable data set for identification of moist deciduous forest with the maximum fuzzy overall accuracy of 96.731 %. 相似文献
This study provides an assessment of changes in the terrain topography due to opencast coal mining in the Patratu region of Jharkhand state during the period of 1962–2007. It demonstrated the potential of digital elevation model (DEM) differencing technique using Cartosat-I satellite (2007) derived DEM with reference to DEM derived from contours obtained from Survey of India topographical map (1962). The topographical changes through DEM differencing revealed positive relief changes (up to 49 m) due to coal-mining overburden dumps. The dumping of overburden near the banks of perennial Damodar River also caused positive topographic changes (up to 20 m) indicating adverse effects on its hydrological regime. Negative relief changes are represents by deep depressions (up to 66 m) created within coal mines due to the extraction of coal. These depression areas within the abundant mines generally become the zones of water accumulation causing wastage of surface and ground water resources. 相似文献
The morphometric analysis of river basin helps to explore the interrelationship between hydraulic parameters and geomorphologic characteristics. The study has been conducted in the Upper Tons basin of Northern Foreland of Peninsular India. The river basin has been characterized using the topographical maps, CARTOSAT satellite image integrated using the GIS techniques. The drainage density analysis indicates lower values in the north-eastern regions and thus these regions can be categorized as better ground water potential zone. There are in total 10 sub-watersheds which have been delineated; SW-4 has maximum drainage density (4.75), stream frequency (5.61) and drainage texture (26.64) followed by SW-6–10. The prioritized sub-watershed numbers SW-4 and SW-6–10 need conservation practices because of their high erodibility and run-off. SW-1–3 and SW-5 regions have better permeable bed rocks and hence good for water harvesting. The areal parameter indicates elongated shape of basin and moderate to steeper ground slope. The results are supported by extensive field survey. This study can be applied for soil and water management, as well as disaster prevention from similar type of drainage basins. 相似文献
AbstractAn integrated Markov Chain and Cellular Automata modelling (CA MARKOV), multicriteria evaluation techniques have been applied to produce transition probability. The unsupervised method was employed to classify the satellite images of year 1985, 1995, 2005 and 2015 to meet the magnitude of LULC change. Results showing the spatial pattern of the sub-basin is largely influenced by the biophysical and socio-economic drivers leading to growth of agricultural lands and built-up area in the basin. Simulated plausible future LULC changes for 2025 which is based on a CA MARKOV that integrates Markovian transition probabilities computed from satellite-derived LULC maps and a CA contiguity spatial filter (5 × 5). Further, the fragmentation analysis was performed to check the fragmentation scenario in the year 2025. The result for year 2025 with reasonably good accuracy will be useful to the planners, policy- and decision-makers. 相似文献
AbstractShuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM-GL1), Advanced Space Borne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer- Global DEM (GDEM-V2), recently released Advanced Land Observing Satellite (‘DAICHI’) DEM (AW3D30) and Indian National Cartosat-1 DEM v3 (CartoDEM-V3.1) provide free topographic data at a 30-m resolution for Indian peninsula. In this research study, the vertical accuracy of DEM is evaluated for above data-sets and compared with high accuracy dual frequency GNSS of a millimetre accuracy. The extensive field investigation is carried out using a stratified random fast static DGPS survey for collecting 117 high accuracy ground control points in a predominantly agriculture catchment. Further, the effect of land cover, slope and low-lying coastal zone on DEM vertical accuracy was also analysed and presented in this study. 相似文献
Similarity solutions are obtained for one-dimensional adiabatic flow behind a magnetogasdynamic cylindrical shock wave propagating in a rotating non-ideal gas in presence of an azimuthal magnetic field. The density of the medium ahead of the shock is assumed to be constant. In order to obtain the similarity solutions the angular velocity of the ambient medium is assumed to be obeying a power law and to be decreasing as the distance from the axis increases. It is found that the similarity solutions exist, in both the cases, when the initial magnetic field is constant or obeying a power law. The effects of an increase in the value of the index for variation of angular velocity of the ambient medium, in the value of the parameter of the non-idealness of the gas and in the strength of the initial magnetic field are obtained. 相似文献
Physical oceanography measurements reveal a strong salinity (0.18 psu km−1) and temperature (0.07 °C km−1) front off the east coast of India in December 1997. T–S diagrams suggest lateral mixing between the fresh water at the coast and the ambient warmer, saltier water. This front seems to be the result of southward advection of fresh and cool water, formed in the northern Bay of Bengal during the monsoon, by the East Indian Coastal Current, as suggested by the large-scale salinity structure in the SODA re-analysis and the anti-cyclonic gyre in the northwestern Bay of Bengal during winter. The data further reveals an offshore front in January, which appears to be the result of a meso-scale re-circulation around an eddy, bringing cold and freshwater from the northern Bay of Bengal further away from the shore. Our cruise data hence illustrates that very strong salinity fronts can appear in the Bay of Bengal after the monsoon, as a result of intense coastal circulation and stirring by eddies.
