The aim of the present study was to investigate the ecological quality of tropical estuaries on the northeastern coast of Brazil using the AMBI. Macrofauna classification based on ecological groups was reviewed using the Indicator Value (IndVal) coefficient. The results indicate that the ecosystems exhibit some level of disturbance. Most sites are situated between slightly-moderately disturbed boundaries due to the higher proportion of Nematoda (assigned here as Ecological Group I) and of Oligochaeta and Tubificidae (both classified as Ecological Group V). The AMBI proved efficient in evaluating environmental status, although the applicability of this index requires adjustments regarding some species in ecological groups. The present study also highlights the merits of the IndVal method for examining the assignments of species/taxa to an ecological group and demonstrates the validity of this coefficient is an assessment tool. Moreover, the complementary use of different methods is recommended for the assessment of ecosystem quality. 相似文献

Distribution and sources of aliphatic hydrocarbons in surface sediments of Sergipe River estuarine system 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The assessment of aliphatic hydrocarbons was performed in the Sergipe River estuarine system, northeastern Brazil. Aliphatic hydrocarbons concentration ranged from 9.9 ug g?1 up to 30.8 ug g?1 of dry sediment. The carbon preference index (CPI, based on nC?? to nC?? range), indicated predominance of petrogenic input in two of the sites analyzed (P4 and P5). The unresolved complex mixture (UCM) was found to be present in seven of the nine sites sampled (except for P4 and P5). Overall, the results of this work suggest that there is a mix of organic matter sources to the sediment. Although the coast of Sergipe has an intense off shore petroleum exploration and the Sergipe River crosses the entire city of Aracaju, the capital city of Sergipe, non-significant anthropogenic fingerprint was assessed. 相似文献

The standard ray theory (RT) for inhomogeneous anisotropic media does not work properly or even fails when applied to S-wave
propagation in inhomogeneous weakly anisotropic media or in the vicinity of shear-wave singularities. In both cases, the two
shear waves propagate with similar phase velocities. The coupling ray theory was proposed to avoid this problem. In it, amplitudes
of the two S waves are computed by solving two coupled, frequency-dependent differential equations along a common S-wave ray.
In this paper, we test the recently developed approximation of coupling ray theory (CRT) based on the common S-wave rays obtained
by first-order ray tracing (FORT). As a reference, we use the Fourier pseudospectral method (FM), which does not suffer from
the limitations of the ray method and yields very accurate results. We study the behaviour of shear waves in weakly anisotropic
media as well as in the vicinity of intersection, kiss or conical singularities. By comparing CRT and RT results with results
of the FM, we demonstrate the clear superiority of CRT over RT in the mentioned regions as well as the dangers of using RT

The flooding susceptibility of alluvial fans in the Southern Apennines has long been neglected. To partly address this oversight, we focus on the region of Campania which contains highly urbanized piedmont areas particularly vulnerable to flooding. Our findings are based on stratigraphic analysis of the fans and morphometric analysis of the basin‐fan systems. Using geomorphological analysis we recognized active alluvial fans while stratigraphic analysis together with statistical analysis of the morphometric variables was used to classify the fans in terms of the transport process involved. The results indicate that in the geological context examined, the best discrimination between debris flow (Df) and water flood (Wf) processes is achieved by means of two related variables, one for the basin (feeder channel inclination, Cg) and one for the fan (fan length, Fl). The probability that an unclassified fan belongs to group Wf is computed by applying a logistic function in which a P value exceeding 0.5 indicates that a basin/fan system belongs to group Wf. This important result led to the classification of the entire basin/fan system data. As regards process intensity, debris flow‐dominated fans are susceptible to the occurrence of flows with high viscosity and hence subject to more severe events than water flood‐dominated fans. Bearing this in mind, the data gathered in this study allow us to detect where alluvial fan flooding might occur and give information on the different degrees of susceptibility at a regional scale. Regrettably, urban development in recent decades has failed to take the presence of such alluvial fans into account due to the long recurrence time (50–100 years) between floods. This paper outlines the distribution of such susceptibility scenarios throughout the region, thereby constituting an initial step to implementing alluvial fan flooding control and mitigation. 目的:探讨64排螺旋CT对胫骨平台隐匿性骨折的诊断价值及临床意义。方法:收集2008年1月至2011年12月连续21例门急诊下肢外伤后普通X线平片表现为阴性及可疑骨折,64排螺旋CT检查确诊为胫骨平台骨折患者影像资料,并重新采用多层面重建(MPR);容积显示(VR)和最大灰度重建(MIP)等多种后处理技术进行回顾性分析。结果:MDCT3D共显示SchatzkerⅠ型10例;Ⅱd型4例;Ⅲ3例;Ⅳ型2例;Ⅳ型1例和Ⅴ型1例。结论:64排螺旋CT联合应用多种重建技术对胫骨平台隐匿性骨折的评价是可靠和准确的。可以准确评估21例胫骨平台骨折的部位、类型、程度及并发症等。明显提高了诊断准确性,避免了普通平片对胫骨平台隐匿性骨折的漏诊及误诊。可为临床采取及时有效的治疗提供更准确、更丰富的诊断信息。 相似文献

本文提出了一种X射线安检图像增强的新方法。传统X射线安检图像的对比度较小、边缘不够清晰、噪声较大,针对这些特点,本方法的思路如下:首先消除安检图像的背景区域噪声,接着利用拉普拉斯变换对图像的边缘进行增强,然后通过CLAHE(有约束的局部直方图均衡化)方法实现图像的对比度增强,最后利用双边滤波器在保持图像边缘的前提下降低图像噪声。这样一套组合方法很好地适应了X射线安检图像的特点,得到了很好的增强效果。 相似文献

Nutrient fluxes across terrestrial-aquatic boundaries and their subsequent integration into lake nutrient cycles are currently
a major topic of aquatic research. Although pollen represents a good substrate for microorganisms, it has been neglected as
a terrestrial source of organic matter in lakes. In laboratory experiments, we incubated pollen grains of Pinus sylvestris in water of lakes with different trophy and pH to estimate effects of pollen input and its subsequent microbial degradation
on nutrient dynamics. In this ex situ experiment, we measured concentrations of organic carbon, phosphorus and nitrogen in the surrounding water as well as microbial
dynamics (bacteria and fungal sporangia) at well-controlled conditions. Besides leaching, chemical and microbial decomposition
of pollen was strongest within the first week of incubation. This led to a marked increase of soluble reactive phosphorus
and total dissolved nitrogen (up to 0.04 and 1.5 mg L−1, respectively, after 5 days of incubation) in the ambient water. In parallel, pollen grains were rapidly colonized by heterotrophic
bacteria and aquatic fungi. Leaching and microbial degradation of pollen accounted for ≥80, ≥40, ≥50% for organic C, N and
P, respectively, and did not significantly differ among water samples from the studied lakes. Thus, pollen introduces high
amounts of bio-available terrestrial organic matter and nutrients into surface waters within a short time. A rough calculation
on P input into oligotrophic Lake Stechlin indicates that pollen plays an important ecological role in nutrient cycling of
temperate lakes. This requires further attention in aquatic ecology. 相似文献

Biological invasions represent a relevant ecological and economic problem of our globalized world. While a few species have been classified as invasive due to their ecological and economic impacts on the invaded ecosystems (e.g., zebra mussel), others show contrasting invasive potential, depending on the invaded ecosystem and/or the traits of the exotic species. This paper reviews the worldwide distribution, ecological impacts and the reasons that explain the invasive success of the aquatic mud snail Potamopyrgus antipodarum Gray (Hydrobiidae, Mollusca), which is native to New Zealand. This review shows that most studies on P. antipodarum distribution have been conducted in Europe, North America and Australia, and few studies in Asia. The distribution of this snail is still unknown in other parts of the world (e.g., Africa, South and Central America). The range of invaded aquatic ecosystems varies from fresh to salt water and from lentic to lotic ecosystems. The ecological impact of this species is due to the fast population growth rate and to the extremely high densities that it can reach, leading to altered C and N cycles in invaded ecosystems. However, at low densities mud snails have been shown to enhance secondary production. Additionally, P. antipodarum has been found to overcome the negative effects of predators and parasites (e.g., it survives the pass through the digestive tracts of fish). This review contributes to assess the magnitude and ecological risk of P. antipodarum invasion throughout the world. 相似文献

Stone masonry is one of the oldest building techniques used worldwide and it is known to exhibit poor behaviour under seismic
excitations. In this context, this work aims at assessing the in-plane behaviour of an existing double-leaf stone masonry
pier by experimental testing. Additionally, a detailed 3D finite element numerical analysis based on micro-modelling of the
original pier is presented (fully describing the geometry and division of each individual elements, namely infill, blocks
and joints) aiming at simulating the experimental test results. This numerical strategy can be seen as an alternative way
of analysing this type of constructions, particularly useful for laboratory studies, and suitable for the calibration of simplified
numerical models. As part of a wider research activity, this work is further complemented with the presentation of an effective
retrofit/strengthening technique (reinforced connected plaster) to achieve a significant improvement of its in-plane cyclic

This paper discusses the issue of performance requirements and construction criteria for masonry enclosure and infill walls.Vertical building enclosures in European countries are very often constituted by non-load-bearing masonry walls, using horizontally perforated clay bricks.These walls are generally supported and confined by a reinforced concrete frame structure of columns and beams/slabs.Since these walls are commonly considered to be nonstructural elements and their influence on the structural response is ignored,their consideration in the design of structures as well as their connection to the adjacent structural elements is frequently negligent or insufficiently detailed.As a consequence,nonstructural elements,as for wall enclosures,are relatively sensitive to drift and acceleration demands when buildings are subjected to seismic actions. Many international standards and technical documents stress the need for design acceptability criteria for nonstructural elements,however they do not specifically indicate how to prevent collapse and severe cracking,and how to enhance the overall stability in the case of moderate to high seismic loading.Furthermore,a review of appropriate measures to improve enclosure wall performance and both in-plane and out-of-plane integrity under seismic actions is addressed. 相似文献
