We present the results of our visual and near-infrared spectrophotometric observations for 77 variable stars obtained during 1971–1991 in Chile, Armenia, and Bolivia. The relationship between the RMS amplitudes of the wind wave spectral components and the wind speed has been studied at ten frequencies in the band of 0.65–23 Hz. To measure the parameters of the high-frequenci waves, a resistance elevation wave gauge was operated, which was deployed in the Black See on an oceanographic platform near Katsively. The correlation between the wave amplitudes and the wind velocity at high frequencies of 5–23 Hz, corresponding to gravitation-capillary ripples, was found to reach a value of 0.8. At lower frequencies of 0.65–4.3 Hz, corresponding to short gravity waves, it dropped to 0.5–0.7. The response of spectral components to the wind speed variations in the gravity-capillary range is higher than in the range of short gravity waves. The results obtained differ from Phillips' idea about a saturated range for the frequency form of the spectrum of high-frequency gravity waves, since a linear dependence of the spectral amplitudes on the wind speed is established at a wind of force 1–8.Translated by Mikhail M. Tidal effects of a Schmidt (1965) model galaxy on a typical globular cluster moving in an orbit along the axis of symmetry of the spheroid is studied under the impulsive approximation. Ann-body simulation is made for comparison. Results show that in both cases, a high concentration cluster gains enough energy to be totally dissolved within a distance of 2 kpc. Water vapor plays a key role in weather and climate forming, which leads to the need for continuous monitoring of its content in different parts of the Earth. Intercomparison and validation of different methods for integrated water vapor (IWV) measurements are essential for determining the real accuracies of these methods. CIMEL photometers measure IWV at hundreds of ground-based stations of the AERONET network. We analyze simultaneous IWV measurements performed by a CIMEL photometer, an RPG-HATPRO MW radiometer, and a FTIR Bruker 125-HR spectrometer at the Peterhof station of St. Petersburg State University. We show that the CIMEL photometer calibrated by the manufacturer significantly underestimates the IWV obtained by other devices. We may conclude from this intercomparison that it is necessary to perform an additional calibration of the CIMEL photometer, as well as a possible correction of the interpretation technique for CIMEL measurements at the Peterhof site. 相似文献

Specific hydrological and hydrochemical conditions in Kenozero Lake have led to changes in the morphology of fishes at a cellular level. The abnormalities in the function of the respiratory, digestive, and excretory systems were recorded. The degree of pathology depended on the ecological features of the fish. The pathological changes were most pronounced in the gills of the fish species (orfe, perch, and roach) characterized by active mode of life and sensible to oxygen deficiency. The changes in the epithelium of gill filaments had a compensatory significance and were aimed at increasing the area of the functional surface of the gills under the conditions of hypoxia. 相似文献
