The MARS-3 third-generation matrix radiometric system has been developed, manufactured, and is currently being used in observations within the framework of the “Cosmological Gene” program. The system is based on new hardware components and consists of 16 independent radiometers (32 horns with a step of 20 mm). Each pair of horns is connected to the input of an amplifier unit via a square-loop modulator. The parameters of each radiometer are: central frequency, 30.0 GHz; bandwidth, 5GHz; average noise temperature of the system, 250 K; and a sensitivity of about 5 mK for τ = RC = 1 s. 相似文献

Optical identifications and an analysis of the radio spectra of eight radio sources from a flux-density-complete sample at declinations 4°–6° (B 1950) are presented. The observations were carried out at 4000–9000 Å on the 6-m telescope of the Special Astrophysical Observatory and at 0.97–21.7 GHz on the RATAN-600 telescope. Five of the eight sources are quasars and three are emission-line radio galaxies. 相似文献

Results of a study of the variability of the blazar J0721+7120 carried out on the RATAN-600 based on daily observations from
March 5, 2010 to April 30, 2010 at five frequencies from 2.3 to 21.7 GHz are reported. In the same time interval, 13 observing
sessions at 37 GHz were carried out on the 14-m radio telescope of the Mets?hovi Radio Astronomy Observatory of the Aalto
University School of Technology (Finland). From March 19, 2010 to October 20, 2010, 16 daily sessions at 6.2 cm and five sessions
at 3.5 cm were conducted on the 32-m radio telescope of the Zelenchukskaya Observatory (Quasar-KVO complex of the Institute
of Applied Astronomy, Russian Academy of Sciences). A powerful flare was detected during the observations, with a time scale
of approximately 20 days, derived from an analysis of the light curves and the structure and autocorrelation functions. The
flare spectrum has been determined. In five sessions on the 32-m Zelenchukskaya telescope at 6.2 cm, intraday variability
with time scales 8-16 h was detected; in four sessions, trends with time scales longer than a day were observed. In three
sessions at 3.5 cm, intraday variability with a time scale of approximately 5 h was detected. 相似文献

We study the correlation between the emission from the broad-line region (BLR) and the emission in other wavelength ranges (from radio to x-ray) for the sample of 37 blazars (25 flat-spectrum radio quasars (FSRQs) and 10 BLLac blazars). Studying the relation between luminosities in various wavebands and the BLR luminosity is an effective method to examine the connection between the accretion rate and the luminosity of the jet.We used simultaneous RATAN-600measurements of blazar flux densities at six frequencies: 1.1, 2.3, 4.8, 7.7, 11.2, and 21.7 GHz. The observational data from other bands was taken from the literature. To determine the effect produced by the state of the object on the correlation, for the radio data we used the measurements obtained with the RATAN-600 in two states-namely, the maximum and minimum flux density values. We show that at some frequencies of the radio band, there exists a correlation of emission with the emission in the BLR for two types of blazars. In the FSRQ and BL Lac blazars, the correlation between the flux from the BLR and the flux in the radio band is indistinguishable in all cases, except for the case when a strong flux density variation was considered for the BL Lac-type of blazars (tens of percent). At the same time, the levels of significance for BL Lac (at certain frequencies p is worse than 0.05) in the active state indicate only the probable presence of connection. On the example of the sample, we show that the variability of emission significantly affects the level of correlation. Our results are consistent with the theoretical predictions about the close relationship of the accretion disk and the jet in blazars. 相似文献

The results of 154 daily observations of 33 sources in the declination interval 70°–84.° 5 (J 2000), made in 2009, are reported. Four objects are found to exhibit variations with typical time scales ranging from 8 to 35 days and modulation indices 2.1–5.6%. The spectra of the variable components are obtained. The same sources were observed again after six months, in 2010, for a duration of up to 55 days. The 11.1 GHz flux densities of one third of the sources varied by more than 10% between the two data sets. 相似文献

The results of observations of a complete sample of radio sources with spectral indices α>?0.5 (S∝v α) are presented. The sample was selected from the Zelenchuk Survey at 3.9 GHz and contains all sources with declinations 4°–6°, Galactic latitudes |b|>10°, and 3.9-GHz fluxes >200 mJy. Spectra at 0.97–21.7 GHz were obtained for all 69 sample sources. The spectra were classified, and a correlation between variability amplitude and spectrum shape was found. The spectra were separated into extended and compact components. The distribution of spectral indices α for the extended components coincides with the distribution for sources with power-law spectra. The correlation between the luminosity and frequency of the peak flux density is confirmed. This correlation is due to the fact that the distribution of source linear dimensions does not depend on luminosity. 相似文献

on the RATAN-600 radio telescope with durations from 53 to 103 days at six frequencies from 0.97 to 21.7 GHz are reported.

Results of a study of the variability of the BL Lac object S5 0716+714 are reported. The data were obtained in 150 daily observations
on the RATAN-600 radio telescope at six frequencies from 0.97 to 21.7 GHz and 13 day-long sessions at a wavelength of 6.2
cm on the 32 m radio telescopes of the Zelenchukskaya, Svetloe, and Badary observatories (Quasar-KVO complex, Institute of
Applied Astronomy, Russian Academy of Sciences). The RATAN-600 observations detected three “anti-flares,” or eclipses, when
the flux density decreased from an initially constant level and then returned to this level. The eclipse time scales obtained
from an analysis of light curves, structure functions, and autocorrelation functions are 12–20 days; the eclipse spectra were
determined. Intraday variability (IDV) with time scales of 10–12 hours was detected in three sessions on the 32-m radio telescopes. 相似文献

We present the results of our observations of compact extragalactic radio sources near the north celestial pole (+75° ≤ δ ≤ +88°) obtained on the RATAN-600 radio telescope. Our sample consists of 51 radio sources with spectra that are either flat or inverted (growing toward shorter wavelengths) and with flux densities at 1.4 GHz S ν ≥ 200 mJy. We observed the sources at 1–21.7 GHz. Multi-frequency instantaneous spectra are presented for 1999–2007. We observed 33 of our sample source daily for 30 days in August 2007. As a result, we revealed 15 objects exhibiting rapid variations on time scales of a day. The multi-frequency instantaneous spectra of these sources indicate that radio flux variations on one-day timescales are characteristic of objects of various spectral types. More than half the sources exhibiting rapid variations demonstrate a growth in the variability amplitude with increasing frequency. For some of the objects, the variability amplitude is virtually independent of frequency. 相似文献

Classifications of the optical counterparts and radio spectra of nine radio sources are presented. The observations were carried out using the 2.1-m optical telescope in Cananea (Mexico) at 4200–9000 Å and the RATAN-600 radio telescope at 0.97–21.7 GHz. Five objects have been classified as quasars (three have redshifts z>2), two as BL Lac objects, one as an elliptical galaxy, and one as an absorption-line galaxy. 相似文献
