In the text-books of astronomy, sections generally related to the Moon deal with the orbital elements of the Earth-Moon system such asa, e, i, , and the time of perigee passage. While the MEAN of the first of the three elements do not vary, mean longitude of the ascending node-mean longitude of the lunar perigee and the time of perigee passage undergoes secular as well as periodic changes due predominantly to the action of the Sun's gravitational attraction. While to a certain degree, explanations related to the calculation of the lunar orbit parameters are given, not a single graphical representation of these short- or long-periodic changes are presented. We allow the number of data related to these periodic changes must cover a large span of time; and if regression of the line of nodes or advances of the line of apses are to be graphically seen, data covering 18.61 and 8.85 yr, respectively, are needed. In this work we particularly aim at the graphical representation of the periodic changes of the line of nodes.  相似文献

Since 1998, 97 new remote satellites of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune have been discovered. Since their brightness is rather weak, it is difficult to perform their photometry and determine their physical parameters. For 27 satellites from this group, different authors carried out special photometric investigations. For the other 70 satellites, the magnitudes accompanying the results of astrometric observations published in Minor Planet Circulars (MPC) are the only photometric data. In the present study, the photometric model parameters for all of the 97 remote satellites have been determined. From the hypothetic values of albedo and material density of the satellites, their sizes and gravitation parameters have been estimated. The whole volume of the obtained results is available in the database of the natural planetary satellites (NSDB) (Arlot and Emelyanov, 2009) published on the Internet ().  相似文献

It is pointed out that there exist real discrepancies between the used theories and experimental measurements in two phenomena on astronomical and laboratory scales. Those two phenomena are concerned with the motion of spinning particles in gravitational fields. A thurough review is presented on different theoretical possibilities of searching for a feasable solution for the existing puzzling discrepancies. One theoretical possibility; in which one may find an interpretation for these discrepancies; is exposed. This possibility is based upon taking into considerations, spin- gravity interaction when spinning particles are moving in gravitational fields. The obtained results; due to such possibility; are applied to calculate the effect of the Earth's gravitational field on the wave lengths of photons carrying information between two points having different gravitational potential. Limits on cosmic time scale variations of gravitational and cosmological `constants' are studied. The study is based on a function which can measure the temporal variation of the magnitude of the gradient of any scalar field defined inside a medium exposed to a gravitational field. The cosmic time dependent scalar fields are taken to be the gravitational and cosmological `constants'. The medium; in which those scalar fields are defined; is taken to be the spatially perturbed Friedman-Robertson-Walker (FRW) expanding universe. During the Late Cretaceous in the Eastern Mediterranean, the northern branch of the southern Neotethys was closed by multiple northward subductions. Of these, the most northerly located subduction created the Baskil continental arc at around 82–84 Ma. The more southerly and intra-oceanic subduction, on the other hand, produced an arc-basin system,the Yüksekova Complex, as early as the late Cenomanian–early Turonian. The abundant and relatively well-studied basaltic rocks of this complex were intruded by dykes, sills and small stocks of felsic–intermediate rocks, not previously studied in detail. The intrusives collected from five different localities in the Elaz?? region of eastern Turkey are all subalkaline, with low Nb/Y values. Most of them have been chemically classified as rhyodacites/dacites, whereas a small number appear to be andesites. In normal mid-ocean-ridge basalt(N-MORB)-normalised plots, the intrusives are characterised by relative enrichments in Th and La over Nb, Zr, Hf, Ti and high field strength elements(HREEs), indicating their derivation from a subduction-modified source. While their relatively high, positive εN d(i) values(+6.4 and +7.2) might suggest a depleted mantle source for their ultimate origin, somewhat radiogenic Pb values indicate a sedimentary contribution to the source of the rocks. The overall geochemical characteristics indicate their generation in an oceanic arc setting. The zircon U-Pb Laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry(LA-ICP-MS) data obtained from five felsic-intermediate rock samples yielded intrusion dates of 80–88 Ma. This suggests that the Elaz?? oceanic arc-related intrusives are slightly younger than those of the Yüksekova arc-basin system, but coeval with the Baskil continental arc. However, the felsic–intermediate intrusives show different geochemical characteristics(oceanic arc-type, with a lack of crustal contamination)to those of the Baskil continental arc. This indicates that these two igneous systems are unrelated and likely developed in different tectonic settings. This, in turn, supports a geodynamic model in which the northern strand of the southern Neotethys was consumed by multiple northward subductions.  相似文献

In October 2005 spatial distribution of live and dead Acartia clausi and Acartia tonsa was studied in the Black and Marmara Seas and near the Marmara Sea inlet of the Bosphorus, in order to understand their fate upon transportation between two seas. The morphometric characteristics in both species from all studied areas, and the decreased abundance of A. clausi and A. tonsa from the Black Sea towards the Marmara Sea indicate that the Marmara Sea Acartia populations are formed by recruitment from the Black Sea. We observed mass mortality of A. clausi in the Marmara Sea near the Prince Islands. The majority of carcasses (66% of total A. clausi numbers in the Marmara Sea) were found in the salinity gradient layer.  相似文献

The monthly abundance, biomass and taxonomic composition of zooplankton of Izmit Bay (the northeastern Marmara Sea) were studied from October 2001 to September 2002. Most species within the zooplankton community displayed a clear pattern of succession throughout the year. Generally copepods and cladocerans were the most abundant groups, while the contribution of meroplankton increased at inner-most stations and dominated the zooplankton. Both species number (S) and diversity (H′) were positively influenced by the increase in salinity of upper layers (r = 0.30 and r = 0.31, p < 0.001, respectively), while chlorophyll a was negatively affected (r = −0.36, p < 0.001). Even though Noctiluca scintillans had a significant seasonality (F11,120 = 8.45, p < 0.001, ANOVA), abundance was not related to fluctuations in temperature and only chlorophyll a was adversely correlated (r = −0.35, p < 0.001). In general, there are some minor differences in zooplankton assemblages of upper and lower layers. A comparison of the species composition and abundance of Izmit Bay with other Black Sea bays reveals a high similarity between them.  相似文献

A new database of all astrometric observations of moons of asteroids is offered. It has a simple structure and is accessible through the Internet. Regular database updating is provided when new observational results occur in publications. The database is located at the sites of the Natural Satellites Data Center created as a result of collaboration between the Sternberg Astronomical Institute of Moscow State University and the Institut de Mécanique Céleste et de Calcul des Ephémérides (IMCCE). The database addresses in the Internet are https://doi.org/www.sai.msu.ru/neb/nss/indexr.htm and https://doi.org/nsdb.imcce.fr/obsposrespectively. On entering these sites, we need to select one of three languages, the Observation item, and the Astrometric positions of asteroids with moons item. The observational data are provided here with explanations and hyperlinks to the publications in the bibliographic database SAO/NASA Astrophysics Data System (ADS) Abstract Service.  相似文献

Simplified methods have been practiced by researchers to assess nonlinear liquefaction potential of soil. Derived from several field and laboratory tests, various simplified procedures such as stress-based, strain-based, Chinese criteria, etc. have been developed by utilizing case studies and undisturbed soil specimens. In order to address the collective knowledge built up in conventional liquefaction engineering, an alternative general regression neural network model is proposed in this paper.To meet this objective, a total of 620 sets of data including 12 soil and seismic parameters are introduced into the model. The data includes the results of field tests from the two major earthquakes that took place in Turkey and Taiwan in 1999 and some of the desired input parameters are obtained from correlations existing in the literature.The proposed GRNN model was developed in four phases, mainly: identification phase, collection phase, implementation phase, and verification phase. An iterative procedure was followed to maximize the accuracy of the proposed model. The case records were divided randomly into testing, training, and validation datasets.Generating a model that takes into account of 12 soil and seismic parameters is not feasible by using simplified techniques; however, the proposed GRNN model effectively explored the complex relationship between the introduced soil and seismic input parameters and validated the liquefaction decision obtained by simplified methods. The proposed GRNN model predicted well the occurrence/nonoccurrence of soil liquefaction in these sites. The model provides a viable tool to geotechnical engineers in assessing seismic condition in sites susceptible to liquefaction.  相似文献
