The Oro Grande, New Mexico, U.S.A., chondrite was found in 1971. Electron microprobe analyses and microscopic examination show the following mineralogy: olivine (Fa 19.3 mole percent), orthopyroxene (Fs 16.2 mole percent), diopside, feldspar (An 13.6 mole percent), chlorapatite, whitlockite, kamacite, taenite, troilite, chromite, and an iron-bearing terrestrial weathering product. A bulk chemical analysis of the meteorite shows the following results (weight percent): Fe 0.84, Ni 1.46, Co 0.07, FeS 3.62, SiO2 34.18, TiO2 0.14, Al2O3 1.83, Cr2O3 0.55, Fe2O3 21.25, FeO 9.13, MnO 0.31, MgO 21.52, CaO 1.72, Na2O 0.70, K2O 0.08, P2O5 0.25, H2O+ 2.14, H2O- 0.40, C 0.22, Sum 100.41. On the basis of composition and texture, the Oro Grande meteorite is classified as an H5 chondrite. A large lithic fragment (~5 mm long) with a very fine-grained texture different from that of the host meteorite was analyzed for bulk composition using the broad beam of an electron microprobe, and was found to be enriched in Ca, Al, Na, and K, and depleted in Mg and Fe relative to the bulk composition of the host meteorite. Its mineral compositions, however, are very similar to those of the host. It is suggested that the fragment is not a xenolith of a previously undescribed type of achondrite, but is probably an impact-produced partial melt of the host chondrite or a fragment of an unusually large chondrule.  相似文献

A detailed analysis of interstellar measurements in the direction of the Gum nebula is carried out. The ionized region is shown to have an angular radius of 18° and appears to be bounded by a shell of neutral gas. The mean electron temperature deduced from radio-frequency absorption measurements is found to be 8500K. These parameters suggest that the nebula is the normal and possibly evolved Hii region of Pup and 2 Vel, rather than the fossil Strömgren sphere of the Vela supernova as suggested by Brandtet al. 在1989年10月和1991年3月大同地震余震的近场记录中,发现P波与S波到时之间还存在一个附加震相. 对地震的精确定位表明,有一些带有附加震相的地震记录是在临界角之内的台站得到的,因而可以排除附加震相为地表折射波的可能性. 用质点运动轨迹分析方法对附加震相的振动方向进行分析后认为,附加震相的运动特性与P波的运动特性一致,因而,可能是来自沉积盆地底部的S-P转换波. 设定一个低速的沉积层覆盖在速度较高的基岩之上的速度结构模型,用合成地震图技术模拟出这次地震的附加震相,从而确认该附加震相为盆地底部的S-P转换波. 调整传播路径上沉积基底的深度,可以得到一个概略性的盆地底部的图象,即大同盆地底部是一个沿桑干河河谷中部深、两側浅的V形盆底.   相似文献

中国地震局地球物理研究所在 1 989年 1 0月 5.8级和 1 991年 3月 5.5级大同地震之后使用由数字地震仪组成的小孔径流动台网对其余震进行了流动观测。通过利用多道地震数据分析软件正确地确定震相 ,修改地壳速度模型等方法 ,高精度地确定了部分余震的震源位置。两次大同地震部分余震的震中分布表明 ,大同地震的主干断裂是北北东走向的断裂 ,同时伴随北西走向的分支断裂的活动。盆地的速度结构可以以双层速度结构模拟 ,其上层为 P波速度为3.1 km/s的沉积层 ,符合大同盆地为火山喷发堆积物的实际情况。  相似文献

The dissolved ionic constitutents of groundwaters are,in part,a recored of the minerals and rocks in aquifers through which the water has flowed.The chemical composition and association of these major ions in groundwaters have been used to trace groundwater flow paths and sources,In general,the chemical compostion of water in carbonate-rock aquifers in dominated by calcium,magnesium,and bicarbonate,whereas sodium,chloride,and sulfate can be dominant ions in the water that comes from volcanic aquifers or clay minerals.Since the 1990‘s,we have dealt with the geochemistry of groundwaters from more than 100 springs and wells in southern Nevada and eastrn california ,USA for major solutes and trace elements.This paper compiles the hydrochemical data of major ions of these groundwaters.Based on major ion geochemistry,groundwaters from southern Nevada and eastern California can be classified as carbonate aquifer water,volcanic aquifer water,and mixing water (either mixing of cabonate and volcanic aquifer waters or mixing with local recharges),Piper and stiff diagrams of major ions have graphically shown the general chemical characteristics,classification,and mixing relationships of groundwaters from southern Nevada and eastern California.  相似文献

Correction concepts for the elimination of environmental influences on gamma-ray logs have been published in a number of articles and in guidelines by service companies. However, these widely-used processing rules for open- and cased-hole measurement conditions have been presented in different forms using different assumptions. For a detailed comparison, these concepts were reduced to simple analytical formula with the application of the same units and scaling to common, standardised conditions. For geological and technical drilling, environmental influences like borehole geometry, casing configuration and material, as well as mud density have turned out to represent the most important effects for a characterisation of environmental conditions. Typical case histories show that correction processing may lead to differing results, depending on the chosen presumptions. A thorough analysis of different types of influences and a careful choice of adequate correction procedures substantially improve the quality of gamma-ray log data. Further implications of these analytical correction rules permit also the quantitative interpretation of logs in dry cased-hole intervals and with the presence of tool joints or casing collars. The latter effect is widely underrated but is proven here to be a necessary step in precise gamma-ray log processing.  相似文献
