The study of the palaoseismic events in the karst terrains of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast is a very important up-to-date problem. The investigated region is one of the highest-energy regions in Bulgaria with established and recorded catastrophic historic and contemporary earthquakes. The terrain is subjected to the influence not only of its own earthquake foci but also of those in Romania and Russia. The palaeoearthquakes that caused considerable disturbances in the karst terrains along the Northern Bulgarian Black Sea coast have left significant traces. They caused disturbances in the environment and the relief (rearrangement of the surface and ground water karst basins, partially or entirely collapsed caves, deformed caves, oil, gas and salt intrusions and gravitationally formed caves). The ecological consequences in historic and contemporary aspects were catastrophic. Summary Using the long-term relations between solar motion and solar activity, long-term relations between solar activity and air temperature variations on the Earth's surface have been studied. A long-term periodicity in the period range from 25 to 250 years, corresponding to the periodicity of solar motion and solar activity, has been found in four very long European surface air temperature series. The positions of the spectral peaks approximately obey the relation pi=178.7/i, i=1, 2, ... . Similar long-term patterns of solar and geomagnetic activity and of global surface air temperature have been found in the years 1861 to 1990. The results indicate that the solar activity impact on the climate could be significant, and that the prolonged minimum of solar activity, predicted from solar motion for the next 2 – 3 decades, could decreace global air temperatures.  相似文献

Metal ions bound to particulate matter represent the greatest portion (i.e. > 95%) of the total metal content found in leachate from reactor experiments where solid waste material was anaerobically digested. This seems true even though strong complexing agents are in solution which increase the solubility of Pb and Cu by a factor up to 104… 105 over that theoretically predicted according to the solubility of the corresponding sulfide mineral. A titrimetric characterization of the metal ion binding sites of the particulate matter suggests that the metal binding properties of the particulate matter are mainly due to organic, aminoacid-type compounds (amines. thio groups, carboxylic groups) probably of bacterial origin. The change of the concentration of the binding sites with time, together with the change of the composition of the particulate matter indicates that bacterial flocs are suspended in the leachate during the switch from acidogenic to methanogenic conditions — either due to the detachment of bacterial films from the solid material by the intensive gas production or due to the formation of syntrophic methanogenic bacterial associations or a combination of both. A combination of the two factors, strong affinity of bacterial mass to metal ions on the one hand, and suspending of the bacterial mass in the leachate on the other hand, will therefore imply a great mobilizing potential for trace metals. Consequently, the highest concentrations of particulate bound Cd were found in reactor experiments where sewage sludge contaminated with Cd was added to the waste material. An increase of the concentration of dissolved cadmium over the solubility of cadmium sulfide, however, could not be observed.  相似文献

Cr2SiO4 has been prepared both as quench crystals and as an apparently stable subsolidus phase, at T=1600 and 1650 °C, P=37 kbar on Cr2SiO4 and Cr-SiO3 bulk compositions. Crystal structure determination by Rietveld analysis of X-ray powder data from 3 samples show the structure, in space group Fddd, to be related to that of Cd2SiO4 (thenardite Na2SO4-V structure) but with approximately “square planar” coordination of the Cr2+ (d 4) atom. In one of the axial ligand positions, normal to the strongly bonded CrO4 equatorial plane, is found a Cr atom (Cr-Cr=2.75 Å). Stereochemistry permits this contact to be a weak metal-metal bond, though it cannot be ruled out to be a non-bonded result of polyhedral connectivity.  相似文献

The problem of improving the geoid from satellite altimetry is formulated and studied within the scope of geophysical fluid dynamics. The oceanic levelling is defined by analogy to the astrogeodetic levelling and it is used to determine the sea surface topography as a function of current velocity, atmospheric pressure and viscosity. Simulating strong currents like the Gulf Stream or the Kuroshio the numerical treatment of the oceanic levelling shows that the sea surface topography can come up to an order of magnitude of1–2 m, whereby the results depend on latitude and slightly on the actual pressure conditions.  相似文献

For application to the mid-latitude topside ionosphere, we have derived diffusion and heat flow equations for a gas mixture composed of two major ions, electrons and a number of minor ions. These equations were derived by expanding the velocity distribution of each constituent about its 13 lower order velocity moments. As a consequence, each constituent was allowed to have its own temperature and drift velocity. The restriction to mid-latitudes results because we have assumed that the species temperature and drift velocity differences were small. In deriving the diffusion and thermal conduction equations, we have discovered some new transport effects. For the major ions, we have found that: (1) a temperature gradient in either gas causes thermal diffusion in both gases; (2) a temperature gradient in either gas causes heat to flow in both gases; and (3) a relative drift between the major ion gases induces a heat flow in both gases. Similar transport effects have also been found for the minor ions.  相似文献

The role of CO2 permafrost as an erosive agent on Mars is considered. In the CO2H2O system, with a CO2 triple point at 217°K and 5.1-bar pressure, carbon dioxide solid, liquid, or gas, CO2 clathrate, and ice are possible stable phases in the range of temperatures and pressures likely to be encountered in the Martian regolith. It is argued that conditions may exist in which CO2 permafrost is extensive on Mars, provided that adequate CO2 is available: the maximum ratio of H2O:CO2 required in the subsurface pore space system is 17:3. Erosional processes likely to result from such permafrost are block slumping, leading to canyon development; pit chains along faults; chaotic terrain where massive permafrost destruction has occured; large-scale flows of slurry; and perhaps even the flash floods which create channels.  相似文献
