During studies of spectra of the star Θ1 Ori C with high photometric and spectral resolution we have discovered a system of spectral lines indicating a large negative radial velocity (RV). We designate this star as Θ1 Ori C3.  相似文献

The open cluster An King 13 (α(1950) = 00h07m5 δ (1950) = +60°56') was measured in the UBV-system. An King 13 contained 80 stars up to the apparent magnitude mv = 16.4 mag. The distance of the cluster is 1730 pc. The diameter of An King 13 is 7 pc. The luminocity function was determinated.  相似文献

The devastating 1999 Marmara and Düzce earthquakes led to a significant increase in the earthquake studies in Turkey in geological, engineering and financial aspects. Extreme Value Theory (EVT) has a range of applications from stock market changes to natural disasters like floods and hurricanes. A wide variety of scenarios for future development have played significant roles in climate policy discussions. This paper presents projections of greenhouse gas (GHG) concentrations, sea level rise due to thermal expansion and glacial melt, oceanic acidity, and global mean temperature increases computed with the MIT Integrated Global Systems Model (IGSM) using scenarios for twenty-first century emissions developed by three different groups: intergovernmental (represented by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), government (represented by the U.S. government Climate Change Science Program) and industry (represented by Royal Dutch Shell plc). In all these scenarios the climate system undergoes substantial changes. By 2100, the CO2 concentration ranges from 470 to 1020 ppm compared to a 2000 level of 365 ppm, the CO2-equivalent concentration of all greenhouse gases ranges from 550 to 1780 ppm in comparison to a 2000 level of 415 ppm, oceanic acidity changes from a current pH of around 8 to a range from 7.63 to 7.91, in comparison to a pH change from a preindustrial level by 0.1 unit. The global mean temperature increases by 1.8 to 7.0°C relative to 2000. Such increases will require considerable adaptation of many human systems and will leave some aspects of the earth??s environment irreversibly changed. Thus, the remarkable aspect of these different approaches to scenario development is not the differences in detail and philosophy but rather the similar picture they paint of a world at risk from climate change even if there is substantial effort to reduce emissions.  相似文献

More finite strain data has been obtained from autochthonous Permian mudstones of the Alpes Maritimes, S.E. France. These new data were computed from field measurements of green spots on all available sections, deformed mudcracks and from the quantitative correlation between magnetic susceptibility anisotropy and finite strain in these rocks. Previously published finite strain data and the new results are presented on a series of structural maps and cross-sections for the Dôme de Barrot, the Tinée and Vionène region and the Roya region. As in previous studies difficulties arise in explaining the apparently variable extension parallel with the 100°, subhorizontal bedding-cleavage intersection: either this is real or there were large volume changes during the tectonic deformation. Study of quartz fibres, developed in deformed mudcracks in the Tinée valley, suggest that early in the tectonic history incremental stretching directions were parallel with the bedding—cleavage intersection, while later they were down-dip in the 100° trending cleavage. Since these Permian rocks have remained stuck to the Argentera basement they also record displacements and deformations in the basement. The early 100°, subhorizontal stretching is consistent with NW-SE dextral, strike-slip basement faulting, while later, down-dip stretching in the cleavage is consistent with contraction faults in the basement. This information and new palaeomagnetic data on the same samples are combined with recent geophysical evidence and regional tectonic studies, to provide a new precision to the tectonic history of this part of the Western Alpine External Zone.  相似文献

The plasma-wave experiment ASPI (analysis of spectra of plasma waves and instabilities) on board the INTERBALL spacecraft is a combined wave diagnostics experiment. It performs measurements of the DC and AC magnetic field vector by flux-gate and searchcoil sensors, the DC and AC electric field vector by Langmuir double probes and the plasma current by Langmuir split probe. Preliminary data analysis shows the low noise levels of the sensors and the compatibility of new data with the results of previous missions. During several months of in-orbit operation a rich collection of data was acquired, examples of which at the magnetopause and plasma sheet are presented in second part of the paper.  相似文献

We present a model that is applicable to the relatively frequent case of rocks in which the magnetic fabric is dominated by uniaxial paramagnetic minerals, and in which the deformation (pure shear) corresponds to the March-Fernandez model. Borradaile et al.'s procedure for the isolation of the magnetic fabric of monocrystals of anisotropic components allows us to obtain the magnetic properties equivalent to those of all the component minerals if they should be artificially aligned. In the case of real component minerals with similar shape parameters, χ (dependent on dimension ratio), these properties will correspond to those of a theoretical equivalent mineral. Therefore, finite strain and orientation tensors may be determined from magnetic fabric measurements of such polymineralic rocks.  相似文献
