为了海洋粘土的开发应用,利用FTIR和XRD衍射对其进行了矿物成分分析。结果表明,海洋粘土样品中粘土矿物含量较高,其主要矿物组成为伊/蒙混层和伊利石并含有少量其它矿物,同时证实样品中有磁铁矿和赤铁矿存在。粘土沉积物的化学成分分析显示,粘土中Fe2O3质量分数较高,约为7%。采用酸溶氢气还原法对东太平洋的粘土样品进行了化学增白试验,并探讨了酸种类及其浓度、药剂用量、反应时间、煅烧温度等因素对除铁增白效果的影响,优选出最佳除铁增白方案,使海洋粘土的白度由原来的23.8%提高到73.1%。另外,对增白前后样品的粒度、比表面积和分散性的测试表明,在增白的同时样品的活性也得到了提高。 相似文献

A modern tsunami catalogue has been compiled for the region of Cyprus-Levantine Sea in which 24 certain or possible local
tsunamis are listed from antiquity up to the present time, while six regional tsunamis, generated in the Hellenic arc, are
documented which affected the region. Another set of 13 doubtful events not included in the catalogue are discussed. Tsunami
intensities k and K were re-evaluated using the classic 6-grade and the new 12-grade intensity scales, respectively. The strongest tsunamis reported
in the region of interest are those of 551 AD, 749, 1068, 1201, 1222, 1546 and 1759, all occurring along the Levantine coast
from Gaza northward, with the exception of the 1222 wave which occurred in the Cyprean arc. The causative earthquakes, however,
occur on land and are associated with the left-lateral strike-slip Levantine rift and, as such, remain unexplained. In this
paper we speculate on the mechanism of these events. A second tsunami zone follows the Cyprean arc, where the situation of
subaqueous seismogenic sources favours the generation of tsunamis by co-seismic fault displacements. Submarine or coastal
earth slumping, however, may be an additional tsunamigenic component. Based on historical data, the average tsunami recurrence
in the Cyprus-Levantine Sea region is roughly estimated to be around 30 years, 120 years and 375 years for moderate (k/K ≥ 2/3), strong (k/K ≥ 3/5) and very strong (k/K ≥ 5/8) events, respectively. The rate of tsunami occurrence equals 0.033, 8.3 × 10−3 and 2.7 × 10−3 events/year for intensity k/K ≥ 2/3, 3/5 and 5/8, respectively. For a Poissonian (random) process the probabilities of observing at least one moderate,
strong or very strong tsunami are 0.28, 0.01 and 3 × 10−3 within 1 year, 0.81, 0.34 and 0.13 within 50 years and 0.96, 0.56 and 0.24 within 100 years, respectively. The tsunami potential
in the Cyprus-Levantine Sea area is low relative to other Mediterranean tsunamigenic regions. However, the destructiveness
of some historical events indicates the need to evaluate tsunami hazard by all available means. In addition, remote tsunamigenic
sources, such as those of 1303 and 1481 in the eastern Hellenic arc, are able to threaten the coasts of the Cyprus-Levantine
region and, therefore, such regional tsunamis should be taken into account in the evaluation of the tsunami risk of the region. 相似文献

Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) has been applied to the determination of Rb, Sr, Ba, Zr, Hf, Nb, Ta, Th, U, Pb, Sc and 14 REE in peridotites and their constituent minerals: garnet, clinopyroxene, orthopyroxene and olivine. Determination limits for most elements are 1–10 ppb (in the solid sample), with accuracy and precision comparable to those of thermal ionisation and spark-source mass spectrometry. Subcompositional coherence is a fundamental property of Aitchison’s approach to compositional data analysis and is the principal
justification for using ratios of components. We maintain, however, that lack of subcompositional coherence (i.e., incoherence)
can be measured in an attempt to evaluate whether any given technique is close enough, for all practical purposes, to being
subcompositionally coherent. This opens up the field to alternative methods that might be better suited to cope with problems
such as data zeros and outliers while being only slightly incoherent. The measure that we propose is based on the distance
measure between components. We show that the two-part subcompositions, which appear to be the most sensitive to subcompositional
incoherence, can be used to establish a distance matrix that can be directly compared with the pairwise distances in the full
composition. The closeness of these two matrices can be quantified using a stress measure that is common in multidimensional
scaling, providing a measure of subcompositional incoherence. The approach is illustrated using power-transformed correspondence
analysis, which has already been shown to converge to log-ratio analysis as the power transform tends to zero. 相似文献

Abstractthe effect of the large-scale magnetic fields generated by the solar dynamo on the radiation flux issuing from the convection zone is studied. A governing equation describing convective heat transfer is obtained in the framework of mean-field magnetohydrodynamics, with account for the influence of magnetic fields and differential rotation on the energy budget of the convection zone. The principal effects are illustrated using a one-dimensional numerical model. Calculations indicate that the influence of large-scale magnetic fields can modulate the solar irradiance with a relative amplitude of ~0.07%. 相似文献

The Indonesian archipelago which has over 15,000 islands, lies in the tropics between Asia and Australia. This eventually alters the rainfall variability over the region, which was influenced by the Asian-Australian monsoon and controlled by intraseasonal variabilities such as convectively coupled equatorial waves (CCEW), i.e., Kelvin, n?=?1 equatorial Rossby (ER), mixed Rossby gravity (MRG), and n?=?1 Westward inertio gravity (WIG), including the Madden–Julian Oscillation (MJO). This study examines a 15-year 3B42 data for trapping CCEW and MJO in the region of Indonesia during both active and extreme Western North Pacific (WNP) and Australian (AU) monsoon phases, which are then compared with 30-year rainfall anomalies among 38 synoptic stations over Indonesia. The space–time spectral analysis is employed to filter each wave including the MJO in the equator, then proceeding with the empirical orthogonal function (EOF) method to seek each wave peak which then coincides with WNP and AU monsoon peaks over Indonesia. It is concluded that an extreme monsoon classification has proven to control rainfall activity related to the CCEW and MJO at 60.66% during December through February (DJF)-WNP for only the significant wave perturbation value. Meanwhile, the CCEW and MJO significantly increase/decrease precipitation at Day 0 for about 37.88% from the total of Day 1st to Day end. Although the contribution of the CCEW and MJO does not profoundly influence rainfall activity during monsoon phase over Indonesia, they still modulate weather condition for more than 50%. On the other hand, a complex topography with a number of land–sea complexities is capable of influencing the rainfall variability in the region as a negative relationship is associated with the CCEW and MJO either during DJF-WNP or July through August (JAS)-AU monsoon phase. 相似文献

A seismic refraction study on old (110 Myr) lithosphere in the northwest Pacific Basin has placed constraints on crustal and uppermantle seismic structure of old oceanic lithosphere, and lithospheric aging processes. No significant lateral variation in structure other than azimuthally anisotropic mantle velocities was found, allowing the application of powerful amplitude modeling techniques. The anisotropy observed is in an opposite sense to that expected, suggesting the tectonic setting of the area may be more complex than originally thought. Upper crustal velocities are generally larger than for younger crust, supporting current theories of decreased porosity with crustal aging. However, there is no evidence for significant thickening of the oceanic crust with age, nor is there any evidence of a lower crustal layer of high or low velocity relative to the velocity of the rest of Layer 3. The compressional and shear wave velocities rule out a large component of serpentinization of mantle materials. The only evidence for a basal crustal layer of olivine gabbro cumulates is a 1.5 km thick Moho transition zone. In the slow direction of anisotropy, upper mantle velocities increase from 8.0 km s-1 to 8.35 km s-1 in the upper 15 km below the Moho. This increase is inconsistent with an homogeneous upper mantle and suggests that compositinal or phase changes occur near the Moho. 相似文献

Sediment trap samples collected from the Western Arabian Sea yielded a rich assemblage of intact and non-living (opaque white) pteropod tests from a water depth of 919 m during January to September 1993. Nine species of pteropods were recorded, all (except one) displaying distinct seasonality in abundance, suggesting their response to changing hydrographical conditions influenced by the summer/winter monsoon cycle. Pteropod fluxes increased during the April–May peak of the intermonsoon, and reached maximum levels in the late phase of the southwest summer monsoon, probably due to the shallowing of the mixed layer depth. This shallowing, coupled with enhanced nutrient availability, provides ideal conditions for pteropod growth, also reflected in corresponding fluctuations in the flux of the foraminifer Globigerina bulloides. Pteropod/planktic foraminifer ratios displayed marked seasonal variations, the values increasing during the warmer months of April and May when planktic foraminiferal fluxes declined. The variation in fluxes of calcium carbonate, organic carbon and biogenic opal show positive correlations with fluxes of pteropods and planktic foraminifers. Calcium carbonate was the main contributor to the total particulate flux, especially during the SW monsoon. In the study area, pteropod flux variations are similar to the other flux patterns, indicating that they, too could be used as a potential tool for palaeoclimatic reconstruction of the recent past. 相似文献
