The thermal stability of Paleozoic oil in eastern Tarim Basin, NW China was investigated through laboratory kinetic simulation experiments. Laboratory cracking of a selected marine oil sample from Ordovician strata in well LG-1 of Tarim Basin was performed by confined, dry pyrolysis system at T = 300–650 °C, P = 50 MPa. Results indicated the oil required higher temperature for cracking. At laboratory heating rates, oil cracking started at 390–400 °C and the laboratory cracking was completed at around 650 °C. At geological heating rates, the onset temperature is about 148–162 °C for cracking start and was completed at 245–276 °C. The oil-cracking history was recovered using the acquired kinetic parameters and the geothermal history of TD-2, and the threshold temperature for oil cracking under geological conditions was calculated. The oil cracking started at 165 °C (Ro = 1.45%) and stopped in early Devonian (390 Ma), and the oil-cracking rates in the strata of
-O1 reached 60–70% at the end of Silurian. The calculated oil generation and oil cracking windows overlapped to some extent and were completed rapidly. The possible geological controls for the occurrence of residual oil reservoirs in Eastern Tarim basin have been discussed, including the high stability of the Paleozoic oil in Tarim Basin, the fast heating rate and longer duration time for oil cracking, the slight biodegradation in later uplift, the good preservation of the paleo-reservoirs and the moderate structural adjustment, which were critical for the exploration of residual oil and gases in this area. 相似文献
Steller chamaejasme L. (S. chamaejasme for short) is one of the most noxious unpalatable weeds in China, which has been frequently reported its negative interaction (i.e. competition and allelopathy) with other herbaceous species in grasslands. This study compared species diversity, biomass and sexual reproduction of herbaceous plants in meadows with S. chamaejasme and in open meadows without S. chamaejasme in overgrazing meadows on the Tibetan Plateau in China to determine whether positive facilitation exist between S. chamaejasme and other herbaceous species under livestock’s overgrazing. The results showed that there are more herbaceous species in meadows with S. chamaejasme than those in open meadows (35s and 30s, respectively). Diversity index and above-ground biomass were also significantly higher in meadows with S. chamaejasme. There were 39% (11/28) of all species with sexual reproduction found in meadows with S. chamaejasme, which was 7 times more than those in open meadows. Our study showed that S. chamaejasme could provide biotic refuge for neighboring plants and preserve plant diversity from livestock’s overgrazing in alpine meadows on the Tibetan Plateau. It also suggested that inter-specific facilitation between S. chamaejasme and other herbaceous species may play a key role in overgrazing alpine meadows. 相似文献
The Central Hebei Basin (CHB) is one of the largest sedimentary basins in the North China Craton, extending in a northeast-southwest direction with an area of 〉350 km2. We carried out SHRIMP zircon dating, Hf-in-zircon isotopic analysis and a whole-rock geochemical study on igneous and metasedi- mentary rocks recovered from drill holes that penetrated into the basement of the CHB, Two samples of gneissic granodiorite (XG1-1) and gneissic quartz diorite 048-1) have magmatic ages of 2500 and 2496 Ma, respectively. Their zircons also record metamorphic ages of 2.41-2.51 and ~2.5 Ga, respec- tively. Compared with the gneissic granodiorite, the gneissic quartz diorite has higher REE contents and lower Eu/Eu* and (La/Yb)n values. Two metasedimentary samples (MG1, H5) mainly contain ~2,5 Ga detrital zircons as well as late Paleoproterozoic metamorphic grains. The zircons of different origins have eHf (2.5 Ga) values and Hf crustal model ages ranging from 0 to 5 and 2.7 to 2,9 Ga, respectively, Therefore, ~2.5 Ga magmatic and Paleoproterozoic metasedimentary rocks and late Neoarchean to early Paleoproterozoic and late Paleoproterozoic tectono-thermal events have been identified in the basement beneath the CHB. Based on regional comparisons, we conclude that the early Precambrian basement beneath the CHB is part of the North China Craton. 相似文献
The Altay orogenic belt (AOB), situated in the middle part of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt (CAOB), is one of the most important metallogenic belts in China. The Kangbutiebao Formation is a Late Paleozoic stratigraphic unit that hosts many important iron and Pb–Zn deposits. The Kangbutiebao Formation consists of intercalated volcanic and sedimentary rocks that have undergone regional greenschist to lower amphibolite facies metamorphism, and mainly outcrops in three NW-trending fault-bounded volcano–sedimentary basins, including the Maizi, Kelang, and Chonghuer basins. SHRIMP analyses of zircons from three metarhyolites of the Kangbutiebao Fm. in the Kelang Basin yield weighted mean 206Pb/238U ages of 412.6 ± 3.5 Ma, 408.7 ± 5.3 Ma and 406.7 ± 4.3 Ma, respectively, which can be interpreted as the eruption age of the Kangbutiebao silicic volcanic rocks in the Kelang Basin. These ages indicate that the Kangbutiebao Formation was formed during the Late Silurian to Early Devonian. They also demonstrate that the deposits hosted in the Kangbutiebao Formation were formed after 412–407 Ma. They play a key role in understanding the Paleozoic tectonic evolution and metallogenesis of the southern margin of the Chinese AOB. 相似文献
The settlement of highway embankments can directly affect the structural safety of road pavement. Comprehensive assessment of the long-term settlement characteristics of highway embankments is important in highway safety management. The present study conducted long-term settlement monitoring in an embankment of the Xi’an-Xianyang Highway in Shaanxi Province, China, that was constructed with recycled construction and demolition waste. Variations in sectional settlement, cumulative settlement, differential settlement, and settlement rates were made in a barricade section and an arc-shaped protective slope section. The maximum settlement observed in the barricade section was 51.75 mm, with the embankment exhibiting “basin-shaped” settlement. The maximum settlement in the arc-shaped protective slope section was 42.22 mm, and the embankment exhibited “W-shaped” settlement. Furthermore, there were two stages of great increase in the settlement rate. Based on the results, control standards for the sectional settlement of embankments constructed with recycled construction and demolition waste are proposed. Finally, a model for predicting the long-term settlement in road embankments constructed with recycled construction and demolition waste is established based on a Weibull distribution probability density function.
