The40Ar-39Ar degassing spectra of white micas and amphiboles from three tectonic units of the central Tauern Window (Pennine basement and cover in the Eastern Alps) have been measured. White micas are classified as (1) pre-Alpine low-Si relic micas with an age value of 292 Ma, variously disturbed by the Alpine metamorphism; (2) Alpine phengitic micas of variable composition with an age between 32 and 36 Ma; (3) Alpine low-Si micas with a maximum age of 27 Ma. We attribute the higher Alpine ages to a blueschist facies event, whereas the lower age reflects the late cooling of the nappe pile. Blueschist facies phengites from the basement (Lower Schieferhülle) and the tectonic cover (Upper Schieferhülle) crystallized at a temperature below the closure temperature (T
c) for argon diffusion in white mica and record ages of 32 to 36 Ma. At the same time a thin, eclogite facies unit (Eclogite Zone) was thrust between the Lower and the Upper Schieferhülle and cooled from eclogite facies conditions at about 600°C at 20 kbar to blueschist facies conditions at 450°C or even 300°C at >10 kbar. Eclogite facies phengites closed for argon diffusion and record cooling ages, coinciding with the crystallization ages in the hanging and the footwall unit. Amphibole age spectra (actinolite, glaucophane, barroisite) are not interpretable in terms of geologically meaningful ages because of excess argon. 相似文献

Field investigations, K-Ar age determinations and chemical data were used to describe the development of an intraplate volcanic province, the Darfur Dome, Sudan. Magmatism started 36 Ma ago at a small subvolcanic complex (Jebel Kussa) in the center of the dome and was active in the same area between 26 and 23 Ma. Two major volcanic fields (Marra Mountains and Tagabo Hills) developed between 16 and 10 Ma. Volcanism started again at 6.8 Ma with a third volcanic field (Meidob Hills) and at 4.3 Ma in the Marra Mountains and with the reactivation of the center. Activity then continued until the late Quaternary. Having started in the center of the Darfur Dome, volcanism moved in 36 Ma 200 km towards the NNE and 100 km SSW No essential difference in the alkaline magma types (basanitic to phonolitic-trachytic, with different amounts of assimilation of crustal material) in the different fields, was observed. Magmatism is thought to have been produced by a rising mantle plume and volcanism was triggered by stress resolution along the Central African Fault Zone. 相似文献

The paper investigates the capability of object reconstruction from space for two specific projects. Both of them are based on the use of three-line scanner systems allowing for simultaneous digital image recording from three different angles. An efficient model for combined point determination is proposed, considering the digital image data as well as orbit information, GPS and INS observations. The resulting accuracy is estimated from project oriented simulations. An advanced two-way radio link (transceiver units) and data logging system have provided a powerful means of real-time series data collection and analysis. The application of this telemetry system to surface tiltmeter surveys provides significant cost savings for testing and analysis of deep, large-scale horizontal anisotropic permeability and heterogeneity determinations.
The determination of horizontal anisotropic properties requires one pumping well and eight to 10 tiltmeter monitoring stations. The validity of the depth of the test may reach 4,000 feet below land surface. With the addition of one partially penetrating observation well, the entire three-dimensional anisotropic permeability can be determined. With the addition of a fully penetrating well, the storage coefficient can be determined as well as leakage property (including vertical permeability of the confining layers). An example test case was analyzed for horizontal anisotropic permeability with remarkable success despite relatively unfavorable detection conditions.

Summary Aerosol particles have been separated by filter at a mountain station at 1780 m a.s.l. continuously since 1972. The station (a WMO-BAPMoN station with extended program) is freely exposed to all sides and in no way influenced by local aerosol sources. In the cold seasons it lies almost exclusively above the convection layer (very often over inversions) so that real background data can be acquired in these cases. By means of analytical methods the chemical components are determined on the exposed filters. This includes (apart from crust elements) also cations and anions from man-made and maritime sources as well as some important trace elements (in all, 15 components). Filters are exposed over 1–4 days. Filter exchange is determined by the respective weather situation with due regard to all changes so that the requirements for a reasonable correlation of the measured values with the meteorological conditions are met. Additionally, all meteorological parameters are determined, as well as intensity of the vertical exchange, number density of Aitken nuclei, concentration of natural radioactivity (RaB), and other variables. In the present paper the components of the aerosol chemical matrix are related to the behavior of the parameters below and the results are discussed in detail: Dependence of the individual components on total aerosol mass per volume, type of air mass; representation of two single cases of long-range transport of crust elements (source areas: Sahara, Colorado); vertical exchange coefficient, concentration of natural radioactivity, temperature gradient between valley and mountain station, temperature at the sampling site, relative humidity, precipitation rate, wind direction. occurrence of fog.Zusammenfassung An einer allseitig frei exponierten Bergstation in 1780 m NN werden seit 1982 die Aerosolpartikel auf Filtern gesammelt. Die Station (eine WMO-BAPMoN-Station mit erweitertem Programm) wird nicht durch lokale Aerosolquellen in irgendeiner Weise beeinflußt. Sie liegt in den kalten Jahreszeiten fast ausschließlich über der Konvektionsschicht (sehr oft oberhalb von Inversionen), so daß in diesen Fällen echte Background-Daten erfaßt werden. Mittels analytischer Verfahren werden an den exponierten Filtern alle chemischen Hauptkomponenten (von den Krustenelementen abgesehen auch die Kationen und Anionen sowohl anthropogenen als auch maritimen Ursprungs), sowie einige gewichtige Spurenelemente (insgesamt 15 Komponenten) bestimmt. Die Filter werden 1–4 Tage lang exponiert. Der Filterwechsel wird durch den jeweiligen Wetterzustand bzw. seiner Veränderung gesteuert, so daß eine gute Voraussetzung für eine Zuordnung der Meßwerte zu den meteorologischen Bedingungen gegeben ist. Zusätzlich werden alle meteorologischen Parameter, sowie die Intensität des Vertikalaustausches, Zahl der Aitken-Kerne, Konzentration der natürlichen Radioaktivität (RaB) und andere Größen bestimmt. In der vorliegenden Arbeit werden die Komponenten der chemischen Aerosolmatrix zum Verhalten der folgenden Parameter in Beziehung gesetzt und die Ergebnisse eingehend diskutiert:Abhängigkeit der Einzelkomponenten von: Gesamt-Aerosohnasse pro Volumen; Typ der Luftmasse und Darstellung von zwei Einzelfällen eines Ferntransportes von Krustenelementen (Quellgebiete: Sahara, Colorado); vertikaler Austauschkoeffizient; Konzentration der natürlichen Radioaktivität; Temperaturgradient zwischen Tal- und Bergstation; Temperatur an der Probennahmestelle; relative Feuchte; Niederschlagsintensität; Windrichtung; Auftreten von Nebel.

Summary Some of the vortices which develop over the Tibetan plateau during summer give rise to severe weather over eastern China. These weather developments can be difficult to forecast, but have been simulated successfully in a recently developed numerical model. It will be shown that different vortices respond differently to topographic effects, to nonlinear processes and to sensible and latent heating in their formation, maintenance, and motion. Elevated terrain appears to enhance the influence of thermodynamic processes, block airflow, and increase frictional dissipation.Sensible heating sometimes collaborates with topography in blocking cold air intrusions and is not only a function of terrain elevation but also of the synoptic situation. Without the input of latent heating, vortices over the eastern part of the Tibetan plateau tend to degenerate.

Numerische Simulation von Wirbelbildungen über dem Hochland von Tibet
Zusammenfassung Einige der sich im Sommer über dem Hochland von Tibet entwickelnden Wirbel verursachen Unwetter in Ostchina. Die Vorhersage dieser Entwicklung kann schwierig sein, sie werden aber von einem kürzlich vorgestellten numerischen Modell erfolgreich simuliert. Es wird gezeigt, daß verschiedene Wirbel verschieden auf die Orographie, auf nichtlineare Vorgänge sowie auf fühlbare und latente Wärme in ihrer Entstehung, Erhaltung und Bewegung reagieren. Ein Hochland scheint den Einfluß thermodynamischer Vorgänge zu verstärken, Strömungen zu blockieren und die Reibungsdissipation zu steigern.Die fühlbare Wärme verhindert manchmal gemeinsam mit der Topographie Kaltlufteinbrüche, hängt aber nicht nur von der Hochland-sondern auch von der synoptischen Situation ab. Ohne latente Wärme neigen Wirbel über dem Ostteil des Hochlandes von Tibet zur Degeneration.
