Analytical Solution of Coupled Perturbation of Tesseral Harmonic Terms of Mars's Non-Spherical Gravitational Potential

The non-spherical gravitational potential of the planet Mars is sig- nificantly different from that of the Earth. The magnitudes of Mars’ tesseral harmonic coefficients are basically ten times larger than the corresponding val- ues of the Earth. Especially, the magnitude of its second degree and order tesseral harmonic coefficient J_2,2 is nearly 40 times that of the Earth, and approaches to the one tenth of its second zonal harmonic coefficient J₂. For a low-orbit Mars probe, if the required accuracy of orbit prediction of 1-day arc length is within 500 m (equivalent to the order of magnitude of 10−4 standard unit), then the coupled terms of J2 with the tesseral harmonics, and even those of the tesseral harmonics themselves, which are negligible for the Earth satellites, should be considered when the analytical perturbation solution of its orbit is built. In this paper, the analytical solutions of the coupled terms are presented. The anal- ysis and numerical verification indicate that the effect of the above-mentioned coupled perturbation on the orbit may exceed 10⁻⁴ in the along-track direc- tion. The conclusion is that the solutions of Earth satellites cannot be simply used without any modification when dealing with the analytical perturbation solutions of Mars-orbiting satellites, and that the effect of the coupled terms of Mars's non-spherical gravitational potential discussed in this paper should be taken into consideration.     

基于W500的NTP时间服务器设计

针对局域网领域对时间同步的要求,主要利用微控制器STM32和单片网络接口芯片W5100为核心搭建硬件平台来设计一个高精度、高吞吐量的NTP时间服务器系统,为客户端提供高精度的时间信息,从而实现客户端与服务器时间同步的功能。实验及分析表明,该系统运行稳定,能够实现网络时间同步。     

天文观测科学实践中心技术实现

天文观测科学实践中心是一个以天文观测为核心的网络实践体验中心,以网站的形式向公众提供服务。网站建设使用HTML、CSS、JavaScript和JSP/JaveBean等技术;基于B/S结构实现望远镜远程控制;采用Windows Media技术实现视频发布。建成的网站为用户提供了全新的天文观测实践体验机会,达到了传播天文知识的目的。     

华南区域季节性降水的差异分析

运用EOF方法研究华南区域降水时空分布特征,结果表明：（1）华南地区各季节降水在年际和年代际的时间变化上有区域一致性,但有季节性差异,其中春季和秋季在20世纪80年代后降水明显减少,旱年增多;而夏季90年代后降水明显增加,涝年增多;冬季变化则不明显。（2）华南地区各季节降水在空间分布上也有差异,其中春季降水呈现东多西少的分布特征,大值中心位于广西东北部、广东中部及西南沿海。夏季和秋季降水相似,呈南多北少的分布特征,大值中心位于广西沿海和广东西南沿海。冬季降水呈东北多西南少的分布特征,大值中心位于粤北。     

The solar particle event of July 16–19, 1966 and its possible association with a flare on the invisible solar hemisphere

An energetic solar proton and electron event was observed by particle detectors aboard Explorer 33 (AIMP-1) and OGO-3 during the period July 16–19, 1966. Optical and radio observations of the sun suggest that these particles were produced by a flare which may have occurred on July 16 near the central meridian of the invisible hemisphere. The active region to which the flare is assigned is known to have produced the energetic particle events of July 7 and 28, 1966. The propagation of the particles in the July 16–19 event over the 180° extent of solar longitude from the flare to the earth is discussed, and it is concluded that there must exist a means of rapidly distributing energetic particles over a large area of the sun. Several possible mechanisms are suggested.     

Associations of decimetric type Ⅲ bursts with coronal mass ejections and Hα flares

We present a statistical study of decimetric type Ⅲ radio bursts,coronal mass ejections(CMEs),and Hα flares observed in the period from July 2000 to March2005.In total,we investigated 395 decimetric type Ⅲ radio burst events,21% of which showed apparent correlation to CMEs that were associated with Hα flares.We noticed that the Hα flares which were strongly associated with CMEs were gradual events,and82% of them took place before CMEs appeared in the field of view of LASCO C2;that most of the CME-associated radio bursts started in the frequency range around750 MHz with a frequency drifting rate of several hundred MHz s-1,of which both positive and negative ones were recognized; and that the correlation of type Ⅲ radio bursts to CMEs without associated flares is fairly vague,less than 9%.     

Improvement on the second-order solution of artificial satellite orbits

Three methods are proposed in this paper to lessen the complexity in the derivation and the resulting expressions of second-order analytical solutions of artificial satellite orbits while retaining the advantages of analytical solutions. Of the three, the one combining the theories of elliptical perturbation and of intermediate orbits is noteworthy for its simplicity. It can also be used with advantage in first-order and third- or higher order solutions.
