On the interannual variability of the Bonin high associated with the East Asian summer monsoon rain 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In order to assess how the Bonin high affects interannual variability of the East Asian summer monsoon (EASM) around the Korean Peninsula, the pulsation of the Bonin high and its association with teleconnection patterns was examined. The major factor for the interannual intensity of the EASM is the center position of the Bonin high rather than its center pressure. Up to 12 harmonics over time can be used to reconstruct the Bonin high, demonstrating its intraseasonal variation. The interannual variability of the Bonin high correlates with the Tibet high. This correlation is dominant for the EASM onset time, though not its retreat. The primary teleconnection pattern, reliant up on the interannual variability of the Bonin high, is the Western Pacific oscillation (WPO) in April. In relation to long-term variability, the correlation between the WPO and the Bonin high appears to contribute to the retreat stage of the EASM, which has itself increased since the mid-1970s. Furthermore, the WPO in May and the Tibet correlation has marked the onset rather than the retreat of the EASM since the 1970s. The Okchon black shale in Korea provides a typical example of natural geological materials enriched with potentially toxic elements. The Chung-Joo, Duk-Pyung, Geum-Kwan, I-Won, Bo-Eun and Chu-Bu areas are underlain by these black shales and slates of the Guryongsan Formation or the Changri Formation, which are parts of the Okchon Group in the central part of the southern Korean Peninsula. In order to investigate the enrichment levels and dispersion patterns of potentially toxic elements in the rock–soil–plant system, environmental geochemical surveys were undertaken in the above six study areas in the Okchon Zone. After appropriate preparation, rock and soil samples were analyzed for potentially toxic elements by instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES), and plant samples by atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS). In particular, Ba, Cd, Mo, V and U in Okchon black shales are highly enriched, and their mean concentrations are significantly higher than those in black slates. These elements are geochemically associated, and might be enriched simultaneously. The highest mean concentrations of 42.0 μg g−1 As, 2100 μg g−1 Ba, 10.9 μg g−1 Cd, 213 μg g−1 Mo, 83 μg g−1 U, 938 μg g−1 V and 394 μg g−1 Zn are found in black shales from the Duk-Pyung area. Mean concentrations of As, Mo and U in soils overlying black shales occurring in the Duk-Pyung area (30 μg g−1 As, 24 μg g−1 Mo and 50 μg g−1 U) and Chu-Bu area (39 μg g−1 As, 15 μg g−1 Mo and 27 μg g−1 U) are higher than the permissible level. Enrichment index values of the six study areas decrease in the order of Duk-Pyung > Chu-Bu > Bo-Eun > Chung-Joo > Geum-Kwan = I-Won areas. Relationships between trace element concentrations in soils and plants are significantly correlated, and the biological absorption coefficients (BAC) in plants are in the order of Cd > Zn = Cu > Pb, which suggests that Cd is more bioavailable to plants than the other elements. Cadmium concentrations in plant species decrease in the order of chinese cabbage > red pepper > soybean = sesame > rice stalk > corn > rice grain. From the result of sequential extraction analysis of soils, relatively high proportions of Cu, Pb and Zn are present as residual fractions, and that of Cd as non-residual fractions. Cadmium occurs predominantly as exchangeable/water-acid soluble phase in soils, and this is in agreement with the findings of high Cd concentrations in plants. 相似文献

An impact drive point method is described for emplacing piezometers in a cobble river bottom where this has previously been difficult without the use of drilling rigs. To force the drive point piezometers through coble, the vibrational impact of an air-powered hammer was carried directly to the drive point by the use of an internal drive rod. After insertion to depth, the drive rod was removed from the lower portion of the piezometer and a standpipe was added to extend the piezometer above the river level. Piezometers installed in this way have permitted water quality analysis and dynamic measurement of vertical potentials in cobble sediments ranging in size from 2.5 to >30 cm and the method has been successfully used in the Columbia River, USA, and Töss River, Switzerland. This innovative method provides information on the hydrodynamics of pore water in highly permeable, cobble deposits that are common in high-energy river and lake bottoms. Piezometers installed using the internal drive rod method facilitate the assessment of the temporal and spatial dynamics of recharge and discharge at the ground water/surface water interface and analyses of the ecological connectivity between the hyporheic zone and surface water of rivers and streams. Since the Tumen River Area Development Project(TRADP) was launched in 1991, Hunchun city located between North Korea and Russia
along the river corridor, has become an important and unique border city. Hunchun, formerly a strategic military city, is
emerging as an international trade linkage center through Satouz and Quanhe on the North Korea side and through Changlinzi
on the Russian side. Furthermore, the establishment and operation of the Hunchun Border Economic Cooperation Zone (HBECZ)
in the city is becoming the main source of the growth, providing a new role for the border city. Its underlying economic momentum
comes from the combination of the Chinese-Korean labor force and foreign investment and technology transferred from Korea,
Japan, and others.
The most important expected new role for Hunchun is as a new 21st century entrepot connection between the Pacific rim and
Eurasia by rail and trunk lines, and as a new regional center of the border region based on both a newly generated urban subsystem
and the increasing informal sector of cross border business. However, there are many obstacles to overcome in the near future,
such as the possible military tensions among the three border nations, the guarantee of free entries and sailing on the Tumen
river, and agreements concerning environmental conservation.

The interaction of interstellar pickup ions with the solar wind termination shock is reviewed and assessed. The pickup ions
mass and momentum load the wind and increase its pressure, effects which decrease the strength of the shock and its distance
from the Sun. The pickup hydrogen may contribute substantially to the "reflected" ion population, which should provide most
of the dissipation at the supercritical quasi-perpendicular shock. A fraction of the pickup ions impinging on the shock is
"injected" into the process of diffusive shock acceleration to form the anomalous cosmic ray component. An injection mechanism
which accounts for the apparent absence of solar wind ions in the anomalous component is "shock surfing", in which pickup
ions which approach the shock slowly may be trapped between the upstream Lorentz force and the shock potential and accelerated
in the motional electric field beyond the energy threshold for diffusive shock acceleration. However, the simplest interpretation
of shock surfing would favor less massive pickup ion species, in contradiction with Voyager observations of anomalous component
composition. A possible extension of the shock surfing mechanism is considered, as well as other injection mechanisms. Finally,
the pressure of the anomalous component may modify the structure of the termination shock, which in turn may influence injection
rates.

香港地区隶属于中国板内地震区中的东南沿海块缘地震带。港-九块体为晚中生代至早第三纪以来以持续稳定上升为主的块体, 块体活动性明显地低于其周边相对下沉的中新生代盆地。为此, 赋予港-九块体为最大可信震级M=5.5级潜在震源区, 而其周边中新生代断陷盆地则为最大可信震级M6.0潜在震源。从大陆地震构造成因的环境、潜在震源可信震级范围M=5.0~7.5和近源地震动饱和等三个方面的可比性, 结合中国大陆地震震源破裂尺度和地震烈度影响场, 所建立的反映中国地震构造和震源破裂及地震烈度影响场特点的PGA和反应谱地震动衰减预测关系式可用于香港地区。以50%概率时的中值对中国强震记录的对比, 本研究所提供的经验期望预测关系式, 能包络实际的资料。因此, 用此地震动衰减预测模式对香港地区地震危险性进行评估, 将会得到相对保守地震动预测值。通过香港地区基岩地震动危险性分析和计算, 参照中国大陆地震设防标准, 进行了基岩设计参数确定和区划。以年概率P=0.02、P=0.002、P=0.0004三个概率标准, 对应的地震动重复周期大约分别约为50a, 500a, 2500a的基岩PGA和反应谱, 作为香港地区基岩上构筑物和建筑物可选的基 相似文献

Seawater samples from the Eastern Equatorial Pacific Ocean were analyzed for amino acids by a ligand-exchange chromatography technique. The results showed that dissolved free amino acids make up only 0.3% of DOC, much less than has been previously reported for open ocean waters. Substantially larger amounts of combined amino acids are present, however. Concentration variations of the combined amino acid fraction in the water column suggest their potential use as a water mass indicator. 相似文献

Windsonde data gathered over a nine-year period at three stations in the Southeast U.S. are stratified by season and by time
of observation to provide average profiles depicting the diurnal variations in low-level winds. Significant variations are
found (especially during the summer months) in wind speed, angle between wind direction and isobars, and the various terms
of the kinetic energy budget equation.
