Classification of hyperspectral remote sensing data is more challenging than multispectral remote sensing data because of the enormous amount of information available in the many spectral bands. During the last few decades, significant efforts have been made to investigate the effectiveness of the traditional multispectral classification approaches on hyperspectral data. Formerly extensively established conventional classification methods have been dominated by the advanced classification approaches and many pre‐processing techniques have been developed and incorporated in hyperspectral classification. A perspective survey of hyperspectral remote sensing classification approaches is presented here. It comprehensively highlights the taxonomy of major classification approaches reported during the last two decades and describes an experimental evaluation of a few major classification algorithms. Recent advancements in the development of classification approaches are also emphasized with a set of guidelines for achieving better classification performances. 相似文献

This article presents a case study of how a user‐centered design (UCD) approach was utilized during the addition of interactive masking capability to an existing web‐based geographic information system (Web GIS). By analyzing and discussing specific aspects of the user‐developer dialog within the context of a Web GIS software development life cycle, this article presents a case study for similar systems. Planning Support Systems (PSS) comprise a wide variety of geo‐technological tools related to GIS and spatial modeling aimed at addressing land planning processes. This article describes the OpenRules system, a PSS based on a previous system called RULES. Among OpenRules new features are its architecture, based exclusively on free and open source software, and its applicability to all land use types, including rural and urban uses. In addition, OpenRules incorporates an unlimited number of land evaluation factors and a new objective in land use spatial allocation. OpenRules has been programmed in Java and implemented as a module of the free GIS software gvSIG, with full integration between the GIS and the decision support tools. Decision support tools include multicriteria evaluation, multiobjective linear programming and heuristic techniques, which support three basic stages of land use planning processes, namely land suitability evaluation, land use area optimization and land use spatial allocation. The application of OpenRules to the region of La Troncal, Ecuador, demonstrates its capability to generate alternative and coherent solutions through a scientific and justified procedure at low cost in terms of time and resources. 相似文献

Northwest Africa (NWA) 5232, an 18.5 kg polymict eucrite, comprises eucritic and exogenic CM carbonaceous chondrite clasts within a clastic matrix. Basaltic clasts are the most abundant eucritic clast type and show a range of textures and grain size, from subophitic to granoblastic. Other eucritic clast types present include cumulate (high‐En pyroxene), pyroxene‐lath, olivine rich with symplectite intergrowths as a break‐down product of a quickly cooled Fe‐rich metastable pyroxferroite, and breccia (fragments of a previously consolidated breccia) clasts. A variable cooling rate and degree of thermal metamorphism, followed by a complex brecciation history, can be inferred for the clasts based on clast rounding, crystallization (and recrystallization) textures, pyroxene major and minor element compositions, and pyroxene exsolution. The range in δ18O of clasts and matrix of NWA 5232 reflects its origin as a breccia of mixed clasts dominated by eucritic lithologies. The oxygen isotopic compositions of the carbonaceous chondrite clasts identify them as belonging to CM group and indicate that these clasts experienced a low degree of aqueous alteration while part of their parent body. The complex evolutionary history of NWA 5232 implies that large‐scale impact excavation and mixing was an active process on the surface of the HED parent body, likely 4 Vesta. 相似文献

The accuracy of the gravity field approximation depends on the amount of the available data and their distribution as well
as on the variation of the gravity field. The variation of the gravity field in the Greek mainland, which is the test area
in this study, is very high (the variance of point free air gravity anomalies is 3191.5mgal
2). Among well known reductions used to smooth the gravity field, the complete isostatic reduction causes the best possible
smoothing, however remain strong local anomalies which disturb the homogeneity of the gravity field in this area. The prediction
of free air gravity anomalies using least squares collocation and regional covariance function is obtained within a ±4 ...
±19mgal accuracy depending on the local peculiarities of the free air gravity field. By taking into account the topography and its
isostatic compensation with the usual remove-restore technique, the accuracy of the prediction mentioned obove was increased
by about a factor of 4 and the prediction results become quite insensitive to the covariance function used (local or regional).
But when predicting geoidal heights, in spite of using the smoothed field, the prediction results remain still depend on the

Reactive barriers are passive and in situ ground water treatment systems. Heterogeneities in hydraulic conductivity (K) within the aquifer-reactive barrier system will result in higher flux rates, and reduced residence times, through portions of the barrier. These spatial variations in residence time will affect the treatment capacity of the barrier. A numerical flow model was used to evaluate the effects of spatial variations in K on preferential flow through barriers. The simulations indicate that the impact of heterogeneities in K will be a function of their location and distribution; the more localized the high K zone, the greater the preferential flow. The geometry of the reactive barrier will also strongly influence flow distribution. Aquifer heterogeneities will produce greater preferential flow in thinner barriers compared to thicker barriers. If the barrier K is heterogeneous, greater preferential flow will occur in thicker barriers. The K of the barrier will affect the flow distribution; decreasing the K of the barrier can result in more even distribution of flow. Results indicate that less variable flow will be attained utilizing thicker, homogeneous barriers. The addition of homogeneous zones to thinner barriers will be effective at redistributing flow only if installed immediately adjacent to both the up- and downgradient faces of the barrier. 相似文献

A long-standing controversy exists concerning the spatial and temporal characteristics of Holocene climate change in China. Zhejiang is located in the southeast of China, where the East Asian monsoon dominates the climate and a Neolithic culture flourished. In recent years, geographers have debated the climatic conditions existing at the time of the Neolithic cultures. This study reconstructed the sedimentary environment between 11.30 and 4.17 cal ka BP based on a multi-proxy analysis of a 14.3 meter sediment core, drilled in Beihuqiao, Zhejiang Province, China. The results show: (1) The climate was getting warm between 11.50 and 8.77 cal ka BP. Grain size became finer from the bottom to the top layer, accompanied by an increase in the chemical index of alteration (CIA), Mg/Sr ratio, the percentage of clay, pollen concentrations, and a decrease in SiO2/Al2O3 ratio, and the value of bases–alumina (ba), as well as other trace elements. (2) Between 8.77 and 7.99 cal ka BP, the sediment is composed of gray-yellow and gray silt. The percentage of CaO and the ratio of CaO + Na2O + K2O to Al2O3 is much higher. The pollen concentration sharply decreases. The climate was cold and dry in the early stages of this period, but became relatively warmer and wetter in the later stages. (3) The Holocene Climatic Optimum occurred at 7.99–5.68 cal ka BP. Higher contents of clay, total Fe2O3, Al2O3, CIA, the chemical proxy of alteration, pollen concentration, evergreen pollens, and high values of Mg/Sr are observed at this stage, coinciding with a lower SiO2/Al2O3 value, (CaO + Na2O + K2O)/Al2O3 ratio, and an obvious reduction in silt/clay, and SiO2 and CaO concentrations. (4) During the period 5.68–4.17 cal ka BP, the temperature in the study area declined in a stepwise fashion. The grain size became finer, and the Mg/Sr ratio decreased gradually. 相似文献

This paper shows how local spatial nonparametric prediction models can be applied to estimate volumes of recoverable gas resources
at individual undrilled sites, at multiple sites on a regional scale, and to compute confidence bounds for regional volumes
based on the distribution of those estimates. An approach that combines cross-validation, the jackknife, and bootstrap procedures
is used to accomplish this task. Simulation experiments show that cross-validation can be applied beneficially to select an
appropriate prediction model. The cross-validation procedure worked well for a wide range of different states of nature and
levels of information. Jackknife procedures are used to compute individual prediction estimation errors at undrilled locations.
The jackknife replicates also are used with a bootstrap resampling procedure to compute confidence bounds for the total volume.
The method was applied to data (partitioned into a training set and target set) from the Devonian Antrim Shale continuous-type
gas play in the Michigan Basin in Otsego County, Michigan. The analysis showed that the model estimate of total recoverable
volumes at prediction sites is within 4 percent of the total observed volume. The model predictions also provide frequency
distributions of the cell volumes at the production unit scale. Such distributions are the basis for subsequent economic analyses.
